Well the midwife's just been round for a visit and said that she wanted to be the one on duty for a delivery as I have so many cakes in the house . I haven't really fancied sweet stuff through most of my pregnancy but I think I must be building uop the energy (and piling on the pounds) now I'm nearly there!

Sorry no action LeonieD let's hope you DH is in a better mood tonight - can you combine sex and a whole pineapple? The mind boggles

Hope the sweep has an effect biglips !!!

Pidge · 19/09/2008 13:54

ninja - yup, I'm very happy for the baby to stay put. I've had 3 days maternity leave this week, and it's lovely. I'd like some more please! I'm banking on having at least next week, and probably a few days after my due date too. I really like this bit of pregnancy - you know it's not going to last forever, but I really enjoy a bit of time for me before the baby arrives. And I'm lucky that at the moment I have 3 days with complete childcare. Dd2 will be with me a lot more after October, but we're keeping her with the childminder for those early weeks.

Hope you're all enjoying the sunshine.

biglips · 19/09/2008 14:05

oh and ARnica tabs question.....how many do i start taking now?? and if natural birth...do i carry on taking them for 2 weeks after birth!

im NOW going to bed as just finished clearing up the kitchen

izzybiz · 19/09/2008 14:10

Hi guys, no more babies yet then?

Good luck for tonight biglips

I am 40 weeks tommorrow, a day I never thought I would see MW is coming to do a sweep, really hope it gets something going!

My mum has just been over and taken Dd for the night and shes keeping her for the day tommorrow, bliss I am going to try and relax as much as poss tonight but after that sweep I might have to try a walk in to town or something!

I actually thought he was coming yesterday, had a lot of period type pain but as soon as I went to bed it all stopped again!

Keep changing my mind on his name too, thought we had pretty much decided on George, but now I'm really liking Henry again!! Better try and decide something with Dh!!

Have a good afternoon ladies!.xx

MunkiMom · 19/09/2008 15:26

ok so things happen in 3's....
first was the little row/spat with DH on his way out the door to work...

and 2nd i put ds down for nap around noon. i could stilll hear him walking and playing in his room after 45-50 mins so i went up to check. oh lordy!!!!

he was at the door gate, hands up in the air caked with poo and carpet fuzz, saying to me: yucko, yucko! his daiper was still on as well.

this could only mean there was more to be found elsewhere in his room...i was afraid to look. so i moved a little blankie and under it were books covered in poo "writing", on a few toys, on the blankie, as well as smashed and rubbed into an area of the carpet...and i dont mean an inch of space. im talking more like 2sq feet of carpet...so of course, theres me on my hands and knees, marigold gloves, diluted dettol...and a scrub brush, while ds lays in my bed (clean after having a bath), watching thomas.

of course with my impatience for everything today, i was horrible! i raised my voice to fynn, telling him how naughty he was. . i feel terrible about it now. i know this is just something babies and toddlers do. its a curiosity thing (most of the time). i'm trying not to over compensate for it, seeing as the issue has passed.

:::sigh:::
whats next??? maybe something good, like waters breaking? but i get the feeling the only thing thats going to break tonight will be wind.

izzy i reach 40 wks tomorrow as well. perhaps i'll have a pre-due-date pineapple for dinner.

becaroo · 19/09/2008 15:33

I am very impressed leonie at your restraint! My ds doesnt eat junk either - I sometimes think they swapped babies on me!!! He certainly doesnt take after me or dh in that regard.

Good luck biglips x

Off to bed now I think...still getting the bh and am fed up.

TTFN x

ninja · 19/09/2008 15:59

OK

when DD's -watching some TV- amused, I'll trawl back a few pages and try and do a missing in action roll call.

Definitely hopefully, ellideb, mellabella but I'm sure there are a few more

Ponymum · 19/09/2008 16:22

Hello all. Just to say I am loving being a mummy even after 10 days of this. Well, I suppose she is sleeping cutely next to me right now. (My sentiments at 3:30 am this morning after wide awake non-stop night feed antics were not quite as jolly! Her theme music so far seems to be "I love the night life" )

Anyway, I have finally put some photos of Sarah on my profile page - can't resist doing the "don't you think MY baby is the cutest you have ever seen?" thing!!

Best wishes to all in labour or waiting for it.

ninja · 19/09/2008 16:33

She really is beautiful Ponymum

Pitufina · 19/09/2008 16:47

OMG just had the worst pains in my lady parts ever took my breath away just about made it home from school run!!! so sore but tummy aching also! feel really crappy now

ninja · 19/09/2008 17:13

Fantastic news LeonieD

Sorry to hear that Lizzyleak relax and massage your belly, or is it the start?

mum2bagain · 19/09/2008 17:42

Ponymum I think you do have a very very cute little girl there, lovely.

I've just made Shepherds Pie for T and it's pineapple for desert, lol

I've 3 days to go, please please please let me have my baby on time. I know the chance is slim - I am hoping!!!!

I'm wondering WHY I feel so well after feeling lousy at the beginning of the week. I even managed to go for a pedicure today and do loads of ironing. Any ideas?? Do you think I could be nearing the time, or is it a myth?

Biglips I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you that you have your baby soon.

Lizzyleek I get those pains down below too, especially when I know I've been overdoing things. Pain just above my belly button too when I've been on my feet all day. Make sure you lie down for an hour, it'll probably go if you do.

biglips · 19/09/2008 18:16

ponymum -aahhhh lovely DD.

ive put a bet on for myself....ill have a 9lb baby and it will be a girl!

becaroo · 19/09/2008 18:28

leonieD - thats fab news! You must be so relieved....

lizzyleek - ooh, sounds interesting! Maybe this is it

Still nothing here except the usual bh and crampy pains. Feel very nauseous today....too many cakes and chocs methinks!

May start wailing and rending my garments if things dont happen soon

mamamufin · 19/09/2008 18:31

Goodluck biglips cant wait to hear all the details.

ponymum your dd is gorgeous. How are you feeling now? You look great in the pictures too.

leonie glad it went well for you today.

Went the midwife, she prodded and poked and sent me to hosp for placenta to be monitored. Baby quite drowsy and because of history she wanted to be sure baby was ok. Anyway after alot of stress he woke up a bit and all monitoring was deemed satisfactory

However, I need to see the consultant on monday to discuss a plan of action and schedule to get the baby out. I want to give the baby the best possible chance of arriving natrually but I also want it to be safe.

Feeling shattered but ok. xx
