Oooh Foxy my dd has the pox too, marvellous timing on her part so he has to stay put anyway, shame really as I wanted to try all the natural induction methods

You can all obviously sleep tonight----apart from me.

My cough is really getting me down, it hurts my bump so much as skin is to stetching point and my lungs are already squashed. It is so much worse when I try to sleep . I am hoping this baby stays put untill I am recovered a bit. I feel sorry for anyone sharing a postnatal room with me as I know I would not want some one with hacking cough next to my new born.

Oh its my birthday today too, so must cheer up.

mamamuffin by the looks of it, it was just you with the sleep issues. terribly sorry hun. and about this nagging cough of yours i'm wondering if you will have a slight advantage over the rest of us when your lo arrives...it will be so used to the coughing that perhaps coughing will woo it into slumber and relaxation??!? remind him/her of being in the womb? just trying to help make the best of it for ya, hun.

hope it diminishes sooon though!

still here !!

Ive got a sweep booked in tmrw @ 9am. Dp is in Cardiff today as he booked in for the pole systems to be fitted in as hes a window cleaner...so hes a lllllooonnggg way from home!! (gulp!) Ive got his Dad here now and my mum that is coming later. Dp will be home about 1pm as it takes about 3.5 hours to drive back home to Liverpool.

morning ladies....just to update no further movements for me infact im feeling wierdly normal and im even starting to think about wanting my morning cup of coffee and evening glass or two of red.anyone else feeling like that???i havent fancied any such thing since being pregnant.

same with me notslimnow, no symptoms. it's like just when this bump gets in the way I notice it. Plus the SPD.

Notsoslim I feel like that too. Think I've been so focused on getting to today I've been stressing about it, now at least I know the most I have to wait will be 2 more weeks (before induction)IYKWIM.

morning foxy, yes i called yesterday and spoke to a LOVELY lady who explianed that virtually anything is possible and there are no hard and fast rules.she explained that if baby is given bottle and breast from the word go then this can become perfectly normal for him.as you said yesterday she also mentioned that even if he gets just a few feeds from me it is very very beneficial.
she has also put me in touch with someone near to me that is happy to meet me and give me some one to one help.so im more than happy,thankyou very very much x

MELT76.. hi im due on 21st but have never been able to figure out how to add myself to the list,computers are not my strong point!!! this is my first and ive planned a home waterbirth,how about you?

that all sounds very positive. colostrum is considered by the WHO as a baby's first immunisation. and your body can do that!

as I said dealing with a knowledgeable person face to face is the way to go and I was hoping that this would be the outcome of your phone call.

I'll add you then! 1st baby and waterbirth planned too but in hospital. The only place I could put a birth pool at home is in the kitchen and we have a patio door with no curtains or blinds up so thought it best not to do it at home. Dont want to traumatise the neighbours now do I??

Congrats all newborns and their v clever mummies! So many gorgeous names as well!

Bit of a pathetic post from me here, feel a bit rough, thought it was all happening but has gone quiet again...

Also what do people think actually constitutes your waters breaking? I've had a little bit of leakage but nothing gushing and no plug-action. My dh is in a panic saying I should tell the mw but I know once I do that I'm on a tight countdown to induction.... just don't know what to do.

Any advice gratefully received!

so sweet of you to put me on the 'watch list' but alas, here I still sit. Really wanted to give the spider an award for kick starting things yesterday but noooooooo baby yet. Was having some pretty rough contractions for hours and then they died down so I could sleep (damn!) but picked up again at 4.... now nothing again. Does that sound like the start of things or what they would consider some 'niggles'?

Well, due date here at last.....got a feeling its going to come and go though

Midwife appointment this afternooon - considering whether to ask her to examine me and see if anything is happening. Would be great if it was, but on the other hand I would be really down/upset if it wasnt so......not sure what to do.
