Congartulations minkersmum another fantastic story - and I can't believe you're up and typing so soon. These stores bring tears to my eyes.

It's all go today isn't it!!

hopefully · 17/09/2008 11:03

ellideb hope the tens is helping.

I just phoned the mat unit, and I think I may have downplayed my pain too much, as the gist of the woman on the phone was 'pull yourself together, you'll know when you're in proper labour'. Which wasn't exactly helpful, but true! Off for another bath to relax a bit.

*LeonieD - I feel very much the same as you, but with regards to induction which has always terrifeid me for some reason (too many horror stories I guess.

I am not due til tomorrow but as my ds was 3 weeks early I really feel overdue already IYSWIM? I have an ante natal app on monday if I havent had him by then but, like you, there is ABSOLUTELY nothing happening

Very frustrating.

Crikey - he actually said that? I have never seen the same Registrar twice at all my appointments and they all have such different views/opninions.....could you go back and ask to see someome else? Someone a bit more pro VBAC?

I thought you were "allowed" to go 12-14 days over if you and baby were ok and placenta was functioning well? Would you be prepared to do the 1-2 day monitoring at the MAU if they agreed?

Perhaps what the registrar meant was "I am concerned that your VBAC will cause trouble for me"!!!!

.....but surely a BP of 140/90 is within normal range for a pregnant woman??????? I have the opposite problem in that mine never goes over 100/60 and can be as low as 90/50.

I am sorry you feel so pressured into having a cs....heavily pregnant women dont need all this hassle and worry!

MelT76 · 17/09/2008 12:36

Sorry I went AWOL peeps. Well..... done the ironing, washing on the line, had shower and about to start a stew for tea so I dont have to do it later.

Pains seem to have died down a little now, so don't think I am in the race today but will keep you updated if it changes.

Congrats to Minkersmum and Lollipop who I forgot earlier. Good luck hopefully, ellideb and notsoslimnow.

Are they worried about PE then leonie?.....have they been doing doppler scans of your umbilical cord? Much better indicator of possible PE or foetal distress than BP.

BP can fluctuate so wildly in pregnancy - having to wait in an un-airconditioned ante natal waiting room for nearly 2 hours for example!! Seriously, even what you eat and drink can affect it, as can excess weight (or lack of it)

I am a bit non-plussed as to why they think its a problem if that was your booking in BP.

You must be so disappointed/confused.
