splishsplash - oooh thats sounds promising if you can feel the baby's head is in your bottom as possibly is fully engaged...when is your due date?

biglips · 15/09/2008 20:09

yes..i am..as per..usual!!

BabyStarlettsBeautiful · 15/09/2008 20:12

LOL - The pooing makes me suspicous. Have you timed them? Do you need to wriggle a bit during them?

biglips · 15/09/2008 20:14

i need to be mobile to calm it down. cant sit down long or ive got a concrete slab in front of me. i need to rub and rub and rub my tummy as its soothing.

no havent timed them... how does it work as i cant remember...

biglips · 15/09/2008 20:15

when i get a strong pain...it gives me a upset tummy after it

biglips · 15/09/2008 20:16

also i did have a small leak (trickle) about 3 weeks ago now but nothing had happened

ipanemagirl · 15/09/2008 20:16

tearful, not hungry for any food tonight, bad indigestion, tearful... oh no! I told the bump not yet!

Maybe it's a false alarm...

BabyStarlettsBeautiful · 15/09/2008 20:28

www.contractionmaster.com/

Press spacebar when one starts and spacebar when it stops!

biglips · 15/09/2008 20:29

i tried that but i dont understand the whole thing of it....doh me!

BabyStarlettsBeautiful · 15/09/2008 20:32

Click 'start timing contractions' in the top right hand corner!

C;ick 'continue'

press 'spacebar' when you feel one starting, and then press 'spacebar' when you feel it has finished.

Do this about 6 times and then come and tell us what it says!

biglips · 15/09/2008 20:32

ok!

BabyStarlettsBeautiful · 15/09/2008 20:34

BTW, if you have more than one window open, you'll have to click somewhere on the page to 'activate' that page.

When you have pressed spacebar, the clock should flash red for a bit and stop when you press spacebar next.

biglips · 15/09/2008 20:34

its up and running

splishsplosh · 15/09/2008 20:39

How exciting Biglips, maybe this is it!

I'm not due for 2 weeks, and not at all prepared, so hope nothing happening just yet, though it's getting pretty uncomfy now, so there's a bit of me wouldn't mind. Like a few others, I haven't been this pg before, dd was born around 36 weeks.

Last time round, my waters broke, then sat in hospital with nothing happening for 2.5 days, then labour started incredibly strongly and intensely and I was 8cm the first time they checked. This time round, getting periody pains / bump feeling tight / downright uncomfortable feelings - it's all new to me.

Not quite sure what that means - but it sounds like you're having quite a lot of them

biglips · 15/09/2008 21:09

ninja - neither do i!!

ninja · 15/09/2008 21:10

AAAh - that makes more sense - they are REALLY frequent. Have you had a bath to see if they intensify/calm down? Phone the hospital and ask advice?

Ooo good luck biglips!

Me and DP have been timing mine for the past hour and a half (whilst watching the hustle and Eastenders) and they have been coming regularly every 7 mins and lasting about a minute each time. Fairly uncomfortable but not painful, just lots of pressure in my bum and lower belly and tighness across lower back. Do you think this could be it girls?

cranmorefifi · 15/09/2008 21:13

this is so exciting! am also trying it out on my BH's. Not quite as exciting but makes me feel a little like I could be on my way. Good luck biglips!

cranmorefifi · 15/09/2008 21:14

btw... I think it needs to start hurting before I'll believe it's labour. Have been having frequent BH's now for the past 4-5 weeks ;-)

ninja · 15/09/2008 21:15

wow ellideb sounds like it could be the start - paracetamol if it gets worse.

Wow it's like reality TV, I don't feel i can go to bed now in case it all starts happening

ninja · 15/09/2008 21:23

update us biglips!!
