Ahem. That's 900 posts, so it's time to get our new title for Thread the Sixth before we run out of space on this thread.

We are surely the most talkative ante-natal conversation on MN (competitive, competitive)

I can't stop eating.

I am an eating machine.

Today I have eaten:

A BIG bowl of porridge
A chocolate biscuit
A cereal bar
A chicken, sweetcorn and salad sandwich
A bag of salt and vinegar crisps
A penguin
An apple

It's only half two.

I am fat and wide.

How big was the penguin? Are you sure it wasn't a nun?

winemakesmummyclever · 01/10/2008 14:50

Oh you have just out-eaten me by two choccie biccies (though could swap one for the bowl of soup that accompanied my butty).

Have borrowed dh's comfy study chair so have lots of room for my expanding arse .

Plus am working off some calories by having music (just switched from Damien Rice to Muse) on very, very loud and grooving a wee bit in my commodious chair as I type.

Bit like the chair exercises for older people, but less energetic.

MarkStretch · 01/10/2008 14:51

Swampy she didn't stand a chance.

I tore off her wrapper to get to her chocolatey goodness.

Did anyone ever see Caroline Aherne (Mrs. Merton) years ago when she used to do that mad Irish Catholic nun routine? Or did I just dream it? [hhm]

winemakesmummyclever · 01/10/2008 14:57

[hhm]?? That just looks like I'm clearing my throat. Meant of course. Muppet.

MarkStretch · 01/10/2008 17:02

I have just got back from my friend's house.

She has given me:

A baby carrier- black and leopard print
A little car seat to fit on my buggy frame
A carrycot- ditto (all in red and black)
All the raincovers needed for new buggy
A baby Gym
A gorgeous little rocker in blue and cream.

All of it is only a yr old and she only wants £50. I loooooove her.

OP posts:
dinkystinky · 01/10/2008 17:11

Wow - black and leopard print baby carrier! Very swish....

We will be sticking to our red and black baby bjorn we used with DS.. though may feel compelled to dress the baby in leopardskin to keep up with the Markstretches....

Where is everyone today?

MarkStretch · 01/10/2008 17:15

We all dress like this in the Markstretches

McDreamy · 01/10/2008 17:22

What a bargain MS!!! What a great friend

I am currently looking into sling options - any recommendations? Looking at Moby/HugaBub type thing but don't know what to go for.

swampster · 01/10/2008 17:38

I heart slings! I need want a Moby! Still have DS1's Baby Bjorn and two ring slings and a toddler Patapum. I also need am desirous of a Bushbaby Elite toddler doodar. Dropping big hints to my sister on the Moby front - she had one but gave it away to SOMEONE ELSE and DS2 never even got a look-in - but he's never really liked being slung much.

swampster · 01/10/2008 17:39

Mmmmmmmmmmmm black and leopard MarkStretch! You need a bit of golden bling to go with.

winemakesmummyclever · 01/10/2008 18:12

is this you being papped?

winemakesmummyclever · 01/10/2008 18:15

or maybe this is you hanging out at the tennis club?

lardybump · 01/10/2008 18:34

evening all. Hope you are all well.. MS I bet I beat you on the eating fround. Today I have had:

Bowl of fruit and fibre
hot cross bun
2 custard creams
1/2 portion of chips
1/2 cheese sandwich
portion of lasagne with peas and sweetcorn
a pear
5 dairy milk chocolates

I really am a fat bloater.

MarkStretch · 01/10/2008 18:46

Can I ate to my list:

A slice of lemon cake and a bakewell tart (forced upon me by generous friend previously mentioned)

And sausage casserole for dinner.

Belch.

Waddle.

OP posts:
thehouseofmirth · 01/10/2008 18:47

Why only 1/2 portion of chips and 1/2 sandwich Lardybump? Are you on a diet?!

MarkStretch · 01/10/2008 18:47

Hahahaha! I wrote ate by mistake! I meant add!

How IRONIC....

OP posts:
lardybump · 01/10/2008 19:18

No me and dd shared them at lunch so I probably had more than 1/2 really....

I am hungry again now as well so will probably have something else. How about you lot will you care to join me...

thehouseofmirth · 01/10/2008 19:33

We're having a takeaway curry and chocolate cheesecake. The I shall probably have a large bar of Fruit & Nut (which is practically helath food, really, isn't it with all those raisins and almonds) some Kettle Chips and a bowl of Crunch Nut Cornflakes before I retire.

lardybump · 01/10/2008 19:43

Oh sounds nice thom. I have a really sweet tooth with this pg!!! I am so going to regret it when I try to lose the weight after the birth.... but hay ho.....

rosieposey · 01/10/2008 19:47

a portion of LARGE chips, sandwich, leftover chinese for breakfast doritos and a cream cake (i have been soooo good and i broke today and had to have something sweet) thats a good day for me too - tis no wonder im such a lardarse!

Was at hospital for two hours today - yawn! I had some blood in my wee apparently so they are testing for a kidney infection, also got to see consultant that i had that run in about c section 4 weeks ago. She was much nicer this time and said that having the diabetes changed everything and that it would probably be a good idea for me to have cs now - shes booking me in next appt which im quite glad about too

Have anomoly scan tomorrow and diabetic doc who i saw also today said have to have a cardiac scan for baby too because of the GD so really hope that everything is ok...

Feel really tired today, as am not sleeping at all well, does anyone else have chronic insomnia?
