Hiya!

Cricri - thank you so much for that URL re: turning breech babies I will study it with interest! Am open to just about anything as really, really want it to turn!

Twinkling - I LOVE the name Max, can't use it tho. Also don't think your boy would mind the lack of letters when he has such a cool name!

Oblamov - Hope u r feeling better after the injections.

Sorry can't remember rest of my messages, (tired and just returned to work) pregnancy brain!

PInkyminkyohnooo · 17/09/2008 19:25

yes I worked that one out, MM. I was a bit muddled up as we were desperatley trying to find DS's bear- bedtime has been getting a little complicated here without him, I was running out of reasons why tedward was away!

MonkeyMargot · 17/09/2008 19:32

Merry Ooh - why do you think I'm having a boy? That's interesting...I keep imagining (and dreaming) it's a girl.
Do you know the sex of your twins?
Re. names, I haven't shared all of our list as I think you might laugh! Some of the boys ones are, well, unusual! I have refused to discuss names with my family or friends, in fact this MN thread is the only place which is safe to sound them out!

Dozymare · 17/09/2008 20:19

evening all!!! Just for MerryMari the nosy one! i had my thread deleted as I totally outed myself!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Gave DS1 name which is not your run of the mill name and also spoke about something that is unique to him that would totally give me away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

TALK ABOUT PARANOID EH!

Dozymare · 17/09/2008 20:22

Monkey - I am with you on the names front - only air my choices on this thread, can't be bbothered by the negativeity on the baby names thread and the bitchy comments! I know none of you would be a bitch though so hence why keep testing names out!

I also think you are having a boy!!!

pinky lose the catholic guilt!!

Dozymare · 17/09/2008 20:23

come on monkey give us your list!!!!

PInkyminkyohnooo · 17/09/2008 20:28

lol DM you are as much of a blab as me after all!

I stopped going to church/believing in god when I was about 15 but the guilt thing is far too ingrained!

I want to know what is on Monkey's list, too. I wonder if DS's name is on there. Are we all confirmed now that she's having a boy??

MonkeyMargot · 17/09/2008 20:30

Ok - here you go
Boy:
Digby
Boris
Percy
Cosmo

Girl:
Cecily
Plum
Dolly
Pearl

Please don't laugh...!

ceebee74 · 17/09/2008 20:31

I can't log on for the afternoon and you all have 'secret' conversations and have posts deleted - honestly how frustrating

We also have some of those jute baskets from Blooming Marvellous and they are really handy - would definitely recommend them.

Had to take DS to the doctors this afternoon as nursery telephoned me at about 3 to say that his rash that was just on his bottom had spread down his legs and arms and he was not his usual happy self. Doctor diagnosed hand, foot and mouth disease (just as I predicted last night ) - but just to show us up, DS sprung to life at the doctors and was running and jumping round the surgery - so much for my line on the phone to get the appointment of 'yes, he is really miserable and teary' . Anyway, unfortunately his mouth must be really sore as he is whinging everytime he tries to eat something and can't even put his beloved dummy in. Tried to give him bonjela but he wouldn't even entertain that - he seems to have gone to sleep ok without a dummy but not sure for how long.

Dozymare · 17/09/2008 20:35

ceebee interwsteing about H,F and M..my DS has a sort of rash on his botty and down his legs (including feet) took him to Dr's and they ruled out German Measles and Slapped Chek...what made you think of H.F.M and where can I find info??? DS2 by the way, is fine in himself but not really eating???????

Monkey LOVE LOVE LOVE Cosmo!!!!!! I wanted to call DS2 that but he wasn't having any of it! You know I love Dolly and Pearl as well as we have had that conversation!

Only one not keen on is Percy - sorry!

Pinky I get that catholic guilt thing as well...............it must be ingrained into us eh!

PInkyminkyohnooo · 17/09/2008 20:38

oh ceebee the poor love. My firend's DS had that as a toddler, not very pleasant. Hope it clears up soon.

Monkey I love your names!
I have a friend called Cos but it's short for Costello. I think both Cosmo and Costello are fab.
I really like Cecily. Can't use it as our surname ends in 'ey'. Do you have middle name combinations for any of the names?

MonkeyMargot · 17/09/2008 20:40

Ooh glad you approve dozy! I don't think Percy will be the one anyhow - it's slightly too odd. And reminds me of Percy Pigs (sweeties from M&S).
ceebee - poor little mite! You are very clever doing your self-diagnosis.

Dozymare · 17/09/2008 20:42

I know all about percy pigs DS2 who is just 2 just has to see a M+S and he starts saying "PERCY PIGS, PERCY PIGS YUM"

MonkeyMargot · 17/09/2008 20:45

They are delish. And I quite like Percy's friends too!
Pinky I'm hopeless with middle names (I don't have one). DH likes Cecily Coco, (i like Cecily Iris) and I can't think of a good middle name for Cosmo.
Any suggestions welcome!

misdee · 17/09/2008 20:47

i need a middle name for dd4.

we think we have settled on Sophie for a first name now.

i did make dh laugh by suggesting ellis as middle name

Dozymare · 17/09/2008 20:51

I don't like the limited edition Lemon ones though....not quite hitting the spot!!!

I am with your DH - Cecily Coco is fab! Middle for Cosmo.....how about

Cosmo Felix
Cosmo James
Cosmo Hugo
Cosmo Freddie
Cosmo William
Cosmo Monty
Cosmo Lucas

sure I will think of some more!

PInkyminkyohnooo · 17/09/2008 20:52

Oh monkey I'm far worse the other way- I don't know when to stop- both my children have two middle names I like Cecily Coco it sounds very chic. Cosmo would need quite a long middle name or at least one with some nard consonants in it. Bartleby??

Misdee like Sophie- my niece is a Sophie Elizabeth.

Monkey - love Cosmo - but not that keen on Boris (reminds me of Johnson tbh) and Percy. I love the girls names aswell - but Dolly really is cute - what fab names you have chosen. Makes my chosen name seem very dull and boring!!

Dozy - DS has had this bottom rash for a couple of days and last night was complaining of a sore mouth so I googled 'rash on bottom' (I think) and it brought up HF&M on NHS Direct site - and it seemed to fit DS's symptoms - go and have a look. Up until today, DS has also seemed ok but not really eating (although it is hard to tell the difference with him ) - it is only really last night where he had a really bad, restless nights sleep (which is very unlike him) and he was definitely out of sorts this morning and nursery said he had been like that most of the day. The doctor took one look and said it was a classic case and he wished the doctors in training that they had at the practice were available so he could show them

twinklingfairy · 17/09/2008 20:53

Yeah, I guess Max isn't too bad.
What do you think of Maximillian though?

Hands up to the catholic guilt thing too!

Dozymare · 17/09/2008 20:53

bugger..I have just outed myself again haven't i

PInkyminkyohnooo · 17/09/2008 20:54

that's hard consonants

PInkyminkyohnooo · 17/09/2008 20:57

DM you are just such a blab. Maybe it's the pregnancy thing!I think most people avoid the antenatal threads unless they are pregnant- who wants to hang around with all those hormones??

Maybe we could start a Catholic guilt support group- or would we just feel too bad for complaining about it?

twinklingfairy · 17/09/2008 21:03

Pinky we have deliberately removed DD's puppy, for a 'holiday' because she was getting too attached aand I just don't want to be in the position of desperately searching.
Sounds horrid and cruel but I think it is for the best and she really hasn't asked after him much.
When my neice (also a Sophie) visits, her bunny disappears. She never even blinks, unless she catches sight of it, then we have to give in and hand it over. But he is horrid, he used to be pink, not any more!! That is where he goes first, straight into the washing machine!

Dozymare · 17/09/2008 21:07

ceebee this is EXACTLY what DS2 has - the spots are identical and haven't got any worse since we went to the Dr on Monday...can't do anything about it though and will check his mouth tomorrow - he is not the World's best eater anyway so some days eats tons and other's nothing!!!!
