Hello ladies, thought I'd give you a bit of an update on Jenpet as so many of you have sent her good wishes today.

She's in hospital now, got there just after lunch and was 6 cms dilated and that was a couple of hours before she called me, so well on the way by the sounds of it. She sounded really, really chirpy and is doing really well. Hopefully I'll be able to get back to you all later this evening to announce the safe arrival of "Baby Bernard".

lollipop I am you too! I bought little packs of M&Ms and packed them in my hospital bag but have now eaten them all! I asked DH to fetch the last packet for me last night. He gave me a funny look when I gave him directions to the hospital bag pocket, but knew better than to ask questions!

now I want a snickers bar. i like mars bars, but i always have to have cashews with them.

EandZ - Eeeeek no, Snickers do nothing for me, it's Mars all the way!

Ponymum - Unfortunately the Mars were there to replace the Jaffa Cakes that I had bought ... and eaten! Honestly though, there's a shop right next to the hospital, we'll have to stop off! It's funny that none of the dried fruit that I bought for the bag has gone though .....

Ladies - does anyone else feel sad at the thought that in a couple of weeks they won't be pregnant anymore?

I have loved every second of being pregnant - yes I've had various pains that haven't been great: back pain, heartburn, acid reflux, morning sickness etc but God it's been a thrill, I've loved every second and I am really going to miss being pregnant. But I just can't wait to have my baby either, I am so bloody excited, it's excruciating waiting this long with such excitement!!

Hi lollipopmother I was really sad to stop being pregnant last time - I just felt so special the whole time.

This time though I just ffel tired now and ready for the bump to go. When labour comes I'll be wishing I hadn't wished it away I bet!

i don't feel sad at all that in a few weeks i won't be pregnant anymore. i'm looking forward to it actually i can't WAIT to have my control over my body again.

EandZ I got weighed at the mw today - 13st 10lb! I nearly DIED! I've put on at least 3.5st and by God can I see every lb!

haha starlight love your humor. i really wanted 4 kids before i turned 36.... now i'm thinking maybe not.

Oh come on, four is a little excessive even for me and my 'I love being pregnant' feelings!

Ninja - Thanks for saying you liked being pg first time round too, sometimes I feel bad for enjoying it so much because everyone on here seems to be feeling the opposite.

thanks starlight and monkimum for the kind words and advice, stating to feel a bit happier about it now. I think I was always under the impression that if I had a C section I wouldn't bond with the baby as I had wanted to. but speaking to my not so sensible friend about her c/s, Ive come to realise that bubs's safe arrival is paramount, and if he comes in a different way then so be it, he'll still be mine and well loved by everyone.

Hi all, had just caught up with thread on Thursday night and was composing a post when waters broke!

Anna born at 10:10 the next morning in the birth pool with help of gas and air - 6lb 2oz. Now we're trying to work out the whole newborn thing so I'll never be able to catch up with the very fast moving September thread.

Congratulations to Sunshinemummy and good luck to everyone else.
