good morning everyone...

got the kettle on for the teas and coffees and rlt for those that still need it ..

great news on all those that have recently popped.. great names and birth weights...

Tess got weighed yesterday and is now 7lbs 5oz which is awesome.. she is still full of cold, i held her from friday evening until about 10 minutes ago!!!! i am so shattered but really really enjoying being a mummy of two!!

Glad TS that dd1 has appologised.. i am still in awe of how my dd1 has coped with the new arrival... i have to say that i struggled somewhat to entertain her when it was just the two of us but now with her new baby sis she seems to have really grown up and she is not even 3 yet..

My dh is another matter.. he definitely still has the "baby blues" ... he has been out the last three nights, has tons more sleep than i do and is still grumpy... not sure what the matter is with him but hope that he sorts himself and quick or you will be peeling me off the floor!!!

Hope everyone who is waiting to pop is doing ok, the end is in sight...

VG think i read that you fancied another baby well after hating being pregnant for nine months i think i agree with you .. but unfortunatley my dh doesn't agree!!!

Anyway sorry for the massive post...xxxxx

Morning
oops and cyteen you are officially in the waiting room today (I've felt like I was in it for the past week)

TS Hope dd1's behaviour improves - it is very hard in the early days when you don't know whether to discipline them or comfort them.

Off to sit on the sofa with ds1 in a minute - dh and dd are still in bed as dd got up three times in the night. I think she knows something is about to happen (although god knows when). Dh slept on the floor next to her in the end so doubtless will be complaining of back pain all day - I'm just glad he did it as there is no way I could sleep on the floor atm.

annvan Sounds like some movement - good luck!

sazzles I don't want another one after this one either - funny how it gets to a point where you just 'know' (but then again for some women it never does - there is an MNr with 9 dcs isn't there?)

FoghornLeghorn · 24/08/2008 08:18

Morning all Sorry i've not been on for a while. Ifelt amazing following DD3's birth, hence why I wasn't here, I was out and about doing things ..... now I feel awful, did toomuch too soon Bleeding had virtually stopped, now its bright and heavy again.
Lara and I spent the day on the sofa yesterday while DH took DD1&2 to a family BBQ and it was heaven.

Glad to see everyone is settling so well.
Sarah, why has DH been out for the last 3 nights ?
Annvan, really hopimg things hury up for you

FoghornLeghorn · 24/08/2008 08:19

Iknow this is our last too, knew from when I was pregnant. DH feels the same

Good morning all. I'm so tired!

Sarah - out three night in a row leaving you alone with new baby??? Oooh!
So glad my DP is a fairly home bound sort of person. unless he does a Jekyll and Hyde when baby's born [eeek]

I don't think things are hurrying up here. Just had that one random pain, then nothing more. THink I'm starting to get too hopeful and reading too much into things. But really I'm so tired of pg. Top two things I want: A decent night's sleep; a poo

cyteen · 24/08/2008 09:20

Happy due date to me
happy due date to me
come on Joseph

Happy due date to me

Morning ladies, my, this waiting room sofa is nice and comfy isn't it...might as well be, I get the feeling I'll be sat here for a while

VintageGardenia · 24/08/2008 11:24

Morning ladies, happy due date cyteen, it must feel great to have arrived! I'll send you over my reflexologist now to whoosh things along!

sarah that is really tough to have been left for three nights. What is your DH blue about? I do think we can sometimes underestimate the effect of things on blokes but to be absent to that extent isn't really ok this early on and I do feel for you.

Foghorn I know where you're coming from, you feel on top of the world to start with. Hope you can now take it easy and appreciate the little warning signal. Day just the two of you on the sofa sounds Heaven.

TS hope you'd a good night with DH on duty.

AnnVan do you know what, on the night after labour and birth you are going to sleep so soundly.

Oops thinking of you and your little coconut! Good luck and good health to you and the baby.

AnnVan · 24/08/2008 13:02

VG i sincerely hope so!
OOps - hope all is ok on your end!

PetitFilou1 · 24/08/2008 13:45

Good luck to oops

pf edges up to waiting room sofa

sarah I agree with the others - your dh needs to buck his ideas up. But ..... why are you letting him go out three nights on the trot? My dh wouldn't even attempt that as he'd have fire and brimstone breathed at him on his return

cyteen · 24/08/2008 13:49

Good luck oops, hope your LO makes a safe appearance very soon

Buckets · 24/08/2008 13:58

Hi all

I bought some Mumomega Omega3&6 supplements in Tesco the other day as I'd run out of preg vits and thought I should keep taking something for the BFing. I'd seen them mentioned on the Baby Channel as potentially preventing PND as well as other brain benefits of fatty acids. £11 for 30 though, thought it might be a good investment, will let you all know if I suddenly start craving the Telegraph crossword.

TwilightSurfer · 24/08/2008 15:04

GOOD LUCK OOPS!!!

On the next baby thing: NO! I might have thought differently (MAYBE) had I not had the CSection BUT I CAN'T do that again.

OH and somebody SLAP me please. I said I didn't hurt......well I did all night. Can't tell but I think it's just massive muscle pain where everything got over used yesterday and is trying to go back to it's normal position following the birth. Moving very slowly today. Plans to stay on the sofa ALL DAY LONG. DH is still there. I took over for him around 6am. Reese is eating every three hours (give or take). Because I hurt and I had to pee (to get more fluid out of my body) I was up basically everytime he was up with her. Thankfully I know this part won't last too long but it's miserable at the moment. DD1 is mad that we are all still sleeping. I told her we all have a tummy bug and need rest like she does sometimes. She's like !!

dizzydixies · 24/08/2008 15:55

Big congrats to Bohobird and Hazie.

I'm having a low afternoon, just want to run away from everything, still really hating the BFing and Kurt is on my lap crying for milk and I can't bear the thought of it, feel guilty for ignoring the kids and DH doing everything, don't feel like I can do anything rihgt. So tired too.

CaptainCaveman · 24/08/2008 17:10

((((((buckets))))))) am praying you soon feel brighter. Whats happening with the feeding?

Congratulations to no1, mummypud, bohemianbint and hazie . Well done and praise God for the safe arrivals of your precious lo's.

Good luck oops, hope the bleed is nothing other than labour starting and your lo is safely with you soon.

I sent dh out to the pub last night (in his defense he was willing to stay home) but am with you sarah on men getting some sort of baby blues. Although they don't have the hormones they still have to adjust to a new dynamic in the family (and possibly means their needs go down a ranking ahead of the dc's?). Not that they deserve any pity or sympathy of course - just a thought

Amn going to attempt driving this week too. Insurance company say its ok if your gp says it is. Gp said to go to an empty car park and try an emergency stop - if this didn't cause discomfort then it would be ok to drive. Well I have been running around a field this afternoon (playing frisbee with dh and ds1) so I guess I'm feeling fitter. Thankfully pain free now for best part of a week.
