Great news stickybean! How crap re. the aftercare though, hope this doesn't spoil the newborn glow for you. Great to hear you have good support once home. Hope you and your new daughter enjoy one another!

MW was hands off but very nice and held my hand with my dh at the end (at the point where I was shouting that I couldn't do it etc etc ) She was very encouraging throughout and did offer me gas and air but I refused - never had it before so didn't see the point of having it this time. I gave birth in a weird half lying on my side scissors legs in the air position after labouring mostly on all fours.

Second midwife turned up after Toby had been born and was a sour old cow - said our phone had been going through to a fax machine (we don't have one) and that a white van in front of our house meant she couldn't see where we lived I think she may have got a bit stressed as couldn't find the house but really it isn't hard seeing as it is the only barn conversion on an estate full of red brick houses (and she knew that!) She disappeared pretty quickly without even saying goodbye!

VG Hope your bum gets sorted out!! (and thank you for the sainthood - you must be more saintly than me though if you are authorised to bestow them )

Sazzles don't be of the weight loss remember 8lbs 9oz of my 21lb gain was Reese.. I stood on the scales with her today and unofficially, she weighs TEN POUNDS now {at 11 DAYS OLD!!!!) We never got to use the NEWBORN clothes........

Miamla I going to be getting a second bouncey seat this is it. I'm tired of dragging one all over so I'm going to use one of my gift cards (vouchers as you call them) and splurge.

A hard stare from me

Ann, the Moby is very easy to use. I watched a guy on You Tube before I tied it on the first time. Here's search results for several "how to" videos. After watching the video I got the wrap right the first time I used it. Have only had to perfect the tightness....but that's due to my size shrinkage.

VG HUGE sympathies - after both dd1 and dd2 I swear to god I would rather have given birth than go to the toilet again - lactalose/ tonnes of water to soften it all up/ feet up on a stool when on the loo and no just sitting waiting - only go when need to go

I'm not in a great place at the moment although all well with everyone - am totally in love with Dylan but think am using the new baby as a shield to deal with emotions about mum which are beginning to seep though? probably talking a load of crap

very good friends of ours told us they're pregnant, due in May - only 5wks gone, which is lovely news but makes me nervous having had a previous mc at 12wks myself! lovely news though

will try to pop in more over weekend once I give myself a stern talking to
