I'll start a new thread in a little bit. Will monitor just in case we have a random game of hangman and go over 50 posts in an hour.

Reese's checkup went well. She's apparently eating TWICE as much as a normal child at day five but what's a girl to do...forbid her to eat when she roots???? She was 8lb 9oz at birth (18AUG), 8lb 4oz upon hospital release (20AUG), and 8lb 10oz today. That's a gain of 6oz in three days. Doc wasn't worried so I won't either. All other items where 100%. The kid is PERFECT!! She's quite alert and looking around at the moment...very cute.

I'm feeling rather good today myself. I think I feel my uterus REALLY contracting down today. I'm a little stiff but have managed to walk a lot and go out to a nice restuarant for lunch. A little slow but moving very well.

No news here either cyteen - my mother keeps ringing on some pretext or other although never actually asks outright whether anything is happening . My sister rang yesterday and said 'have you had him yet' - ummm yes I just forgot to ring you At least they are all excited. Oh and mil rang with the mil type 'any twinges' question...

We've been for a very nice walk around an aboretum today - this morning was actually sunny and quite warm here Knackered myself out though and I'm very sore round the bottom of my bump.

Anyway, I'll stop whingeing - TS Glad Reese's checkup went well. Hope the boobs are not feeling too uncomfy...

Hi everyone.
I had an amazing water birth at home yesterday. Little or should I say big baby brother for Claudia Violet last night at 7.37pm.
Weighing in at 101b 2oz
We decided to call him Marcus Jonty.

Was amazing felt spoilt with 4 midwifes in attendance. Mainly because I was the 1st water birth in my area for my local hospital.
So 2 of the midwifes were supervisers. so was 1st one 3 of them had seen.
Cant believe i did it with out pain relief.and I was so scared of tearing again but didnt need one stitch.
I have officially joined the typing one handed gang

Bf going ok so far. He slept 11 last night and i had to wake him at 7am Felt really guilty not waking him to feed, but he was very content and` i was so so tired.

dont worry I was told you only tend to grow what you can part with apparently.

My dd was 91b 3oz so was told alway through this one would be a whopper. I was measuring 40 weeks at 35/36 weeks. However the midwife who was trained to do my water birth said unless I am good at hiding baby she didnt think he would be anywhere near as big as dd.

You should have seen her face when He came out and then agian when she weighed him.

Congratulations no1 on the birth of Marcus and well done on the no pain relief (I know how chuffed you feel when you do it that way - even though everyone deserves a bloody medal for going through it whichever way )

Well done Ladyofwaffle, Mummypud and No1! It's so good to have it over and done with isn't it? Not to mention meeting your baby etc but just being able to get on with the rest of your lives as a family of 3,4,5,6 (delete as appropriate).

I've had a nice lazy day barbecuing with family for my dad's birthday then me and Kurt popped in at a friend's bbq at teatime. Met another friend there with huge week old baby (I queue-jumped), about 2lb bigger than Kurt is at 3wks!

DH is downstairs playing ukulele (currently on Pink Panther themetune) and has either forgotten or is pretending to have forgotten that I'd mentioned trying sex tonight. He probably has just forgotten and is all caught up in Uke-land but I'm too lacking in confidence to chase the issue so still none for me.
