Awww no1 don't beat yourself up. Ds regularly falls out of bed (and is in a high bed) dd has also fallen out of bed when in bed with me and dh. They have both survived to tell the tale

They can take more then you think cant they.

No1 mine fell out her crib attempting an escape in the middle of the night. Oddly it was a rare night that she went to sleep in the crib and afterwards it was GONE.... I remember feeling all bad about it as if I'd done something wrong. Those early years with little ones are hard on us all no matter what happens or how well we try to deal with it. {{{{HUGS}}}}

I don't know No1. I'm feeling all sorts of funny things today. However, I'm ignoring them as best I can and just waiting for the GUSH.

I had a big blob of mucous type discharge earlier (sorry if TMI)

Re engorgement, I am lucky enough to have a nursing toddler this time around and she is really helping to control my milk supply...yeah for Tandem Nursing.

Evening ladies. We've just shared some champers to celebrate Emily's first week and feel pathetically light headed ('twas only a half bottle ).

Congrats to Sibh and Eibhlin. The girls are well and truly fighting back now!

All going fine here, although a miniscule blister seems to be causing a totally disproportionate amount of bf toe-curling.

Having real doubts about DD2's name. Is it normal to feel weird about giving someone a name? I think it was with DD1. Just wonder whether we should have used Alice instead as it has no real connections for us. DH just loves Emily so much and I know he's so pleased that that what she's called. Just don't feel settled with it. Also don't think it goes with DD1's name. Sorry, rambling now...

OMG. DH has just tried in on.... Seems the bubbly's gone to his head too. The mind maybe willing, but the body...No, no, no!

poppy its a lovely name and is does go with dd1 however if you're not comfortable with it then why not wait a wee while before you register her - you still have 2 more weeks. Alice is lovely too and even if it is her middle name you can always change it later

my lovely spanish cousin had her baby today (sorry for all those still waiting to go) she wasn't due till end of Sept, said to her mum she didn't feel well and wanted to go to the Dr and had him 3 hours later

Hi Dizzy! How are things now? How's the bf? What day does DD1 start school?

We actually registered DD2 today. Thought the finality would help me as realistically now everyone is using Emily AND DH loves the name so much, it's not going to change. Think I just need to get over this one. My Mum's arriving on Sunday and hoping she can help on this one as she's so chuffed we've used the name.

HI POPPY! oops - sorry for shouting

things are ok, the bf going much better although my left nipple is a bit sore after a harsh feed earlier but mostly its nice feeds now so am hoping we've cracked it.

dd1 starts school on Tues, I can't quite believe it. she looks so grown up with her uniform and her new hair do!

will have to get our finger out and register Dylan too - we registered the first two here but apparently can't do it anymore so will either be over to yours or across the bridge

apparently she and the wee one are both fine, he's 2.5 kilos which I think is about 5lbs and although early thats a good size for her - she's a tiny wee Spanish thing who is probably back in her jeans by tonight

at being back into jeans quick smart (although obviously not at having an early babe!). Glad the weight's good though and all well!

We had a temp. registrar today who was v. cheery, although did regale us with one too many stories about how she just couldn't stop at 2 children and ended up with 4. All a bit when we're just coming to terms with the jump from 1 to 2! DD also announced this morning that she'd like another baby - a brother preferably !

Hope tuesday goes well. Yet another momentous change for you. Am sure it'll be really happy though. Is your Dad still coming over?

Just thought I'd check in since it's been ages since I posted. Thank you TS and Dizzy for your prompts! I lost track of the thread a while ago 'cos I couldn't keep up with it at one point, it moved so fast! Will try to keep up now, promise! (Now I've said that... cue baby's arrival in the next few hours, thus scuppering my chances of keeping said promise )

Congratulations to everyone who's had their baby already - there are loads! Way more than I thought for only being halfway through the month!

No action to report over here. I'm actually thinking of taking out an ad in the local paper to this effect - it'll save people money from texting me every 5mins to find out if the baby's arrived yet!

On that subject, is it weird that I'm still happy to wait for bubs to make up her own mind about when to arrive? I'm obviously totally excited to meet her, but not as impatient as everyone else seems. I've always prepared myself for being overdue and going a full 42wks, so maybe that's part of it.

Off to bed now, so I'll wish everyone a good night's sleep, whether you're a mummy yet or not!

More mayhem this end, went to Heatherwood for my sweep, resigned to the fact I would have to change hospitals to there and the MW saw Frimley on my notes and said they couldn't sweep me as they had different policies and rung Frimley and bullied asked them to pleeeeeease do something about me. So I am now booked in for 9am on Tuesday to see a consultant (40 + 11 but obviously the world stops over a Bank Holiday Weekend) who will either sweep me or more than likely just induce me that night! So scary to have a date set in stone now - baby will either be born (if it goes like last time) the day before or on DHs Birthday! Finally have The End in sight... I can't believe twice now i'm having to be induced. Very random posting time BTW - I fell asleep at 6.30 with DS and have been in bed ever since Woke up hungry so mooching around for abit before I go back to bed...

Just woke dreaming that things had started. I'm still having odd feelings down below. Got up to pee only to hear the sprinkler outside. DH forgot it again. It's been on now for 4 hours. Went out to turn it off and the moon was soooo full. I stood there trying to let it do it's thing. But I'm tired so back to bed for me. With a pause by the laptop for MN update, of course.

Oooo, Sazzles, we haven't had poo since Tuesday either. Is it ok do you think? She passed meconium before that - the midwife wasn't worried on Thursday but there's still nothing so I was thinking I ought to ring someone this am... Apologies to those in the waiting room for typical new-mum obsession with nappy contents but advice from anyone with more experience would be very welcome! perterlote I think, from memory, that bf babies can vary and a week without pooing is not unusual. But you might do well to post on the bf/bottle bit of MN.
