mslucy · 13/08/2008 15:40

sorry about your loss haventgotaclue.

Try to look after yourself and look forward to the future rather than dwell on the past.

mc is horrid but time is a great healer (sorry if that sounds trite at the moment but you will feel better as the weeks go by).

TinkerBellesMum · 13/08/2008 15:59

I need to tell someone this, Tink is sitting on the sofa, wrapped in blankets jabbering away to herself and keeps saying "Daddy, I love Mummy. DADDY, I love Mummy"! I have no idea what she's on today!

spottyshoes · 13/08/2008 16:37

haventgotaclue. I'm so sorry for your loss. Hope you are getting lots of support x

spottyshoes · 13/08/2008 16:42

I'd heard about there only being about 50 too Tink. I think I would rather like a male MW, I may be wrong but would imagine they are all really nice as they would have try extra hard to fight through people's prejudice.

WILL YOU ALL PLEASE STOP going on about cheap dopplers that actually are working!!! I had one last time and sold it on thinking I wouldn't be as neurotic have as much time 2nd time round ()

But I am.....

and I want one......

Hope the scan is going well rosieposey

MarkStretch · 13/08/2008 17:15

So sorry haventgotaclue- good luck in the future xx

Hope scan goes ok too Rosie.

nadssss- the heartbeat we heard was 148 bpm so considerably more than mine- I agree though, it is tricky to find but it was right down on my knicker line too.

Feel really tired today.

lardybump · 13/08/2008 17:16

Evening everyone.

So sorry for you news haventgotaclue, as the others have said I hope you have the support you all need right now.

I really wish I had a dopplers, I have a monitor but you need to be at least 16 weeks to use it so I have to wait. With dd I could hear her hicuping with it and dp and I would listen to her all night...

Hello all. My due date got changed at 12 week scan so have ammended list.
Sorry i haven't been on much but i can't keep up with the threads!
Everything good with me, feel like i'm starting to bloom or should that be balloon
Will try and post more on this thread!

spottyshoes · 13/08/2008 18:11

Congratulation Idontbelieve it.
Has anyone had their due date changed at the 12 week scan after having an early scan? Or do they generally stay the same?

Sorry you're so tired Markstretch. I'm going out for a swim and an indian meal in a while with my lovely pg friend which I am really looking forward to but at the same time I just want to go to bed!!!!

TinkerBellesMum · 13/08/2008 18:15

Normally they go with their first dates from a scan. So depends if your dates and theirs match at your first scan, if that makes sense.

spottyshoes · 13/08/2008 18:21

It's just they dont officially record a date or book you in until you're scanned between 8-14 weeks round here. I had a reassurance scan at 7+3 which I worked out made me 28th Feb. Just wondered how much chance there would be of the baby having slowed/growth spurted and me getting a different date.

TinkerBellesMum · 13/08/2008 18:39

The smaller the baby the harder it will be to date, so it's possible you will have a date change on your booking in/ dating scan.

More sharing:

We're watching that programme about pregnant animals. Tink just pointed at a giraffe with a leg hanging out of her and said "Bobba in there and bobba in there!" How does she know things like that???

mentalpup · 13/08/2008 22:40

Was just going to add myself when I noticed I'm already on the list, so I've amended my dates....

RachRox where are you in Glos?

Cocodrillo · 14/08/2008 07:09

Had my scan yesterday, all fine, so I actually believe I'm pregnant now.

Told DD1 yesterday (age 4), she is very excited and protective of my tummy. She was telling DD2 off for rolling around and bumping it (aged 19 months), saying she would hurt the baby.

DD1 had already asked if I was pg the other day, as she said I had a fat tummy so must be. Sadly, I have a fat tummy as a result of the two DDs and the extra 20 lb of flab, and no bump whatsoever, so I was mortified .

spottyshoes · 14/08/2008 07:52

Aw Cocodrillo your DD's sound so cute! Glad to hear you had a good scan.

I cant wait for mine now, am getting soooo impatient. I think I'll be the last one on here to have one!

And Tink your DD is a clever wee thing isn't she! How old is she, about 2.5?

Had a good night last night at the all you can eat indian . Didn't swim for too long before hand but I think I'm thankfull for that this morning as I dont ache!

Hope everyone is well this morning

spottyshoes · 14/08/2008 08:04

Random:- I have just found a spot in my eyebrow

KazzaL · 14/08/2008 08:53

Good morning Ladies - at least it's sunny (where I am and at the moment) - had a busy morning already - woke up at 5.30 needing a wee and thne couldn't get back to sleep, so got up, did the washing up and then the peace was disturbed by DS waking up demanding his milk. DH gave him "blankie" while I quickly made the milk and then guzzling commenced, he'd just about finished when he coughed and puked most of it back up all over blankie & our bed (he has reflux, but has been fine for ages and this is now the second morning this has happened. Cleaned everyhting up and then got ready for work, cleaned out the chickens and got DH to help me move their house & run to some fresh grass, help DH pack as he is away till sunday and then it was off to work for a rest after dropping DS off at nursery.....

Just enjoying my brekkie and thought I would read thorugh the lastest happenings, hope everyone is doing ok, it's very sad to see a few names go from the list, but hopefully they'll be on a new list very soon, I'm finally starting to get a bump although I tihnk i just look like I've eaten too many cakes really (which I have) and I'm starting to have more energy again. I'm not looking forward to the weekend as my mother is coming to stay (arranged for her to come while DH is away as although they get on ok, it's just too hard to amuse them both)

Anyway I'd better do some work now - I'm supposed to start at 8.30!! have a good day all

MarkStretch · 14/08/2008 09:04

I have just spent the last 12 hrs in bed.

I went to bed early becuase I was cold and tired.

Got up, felt tired, made DH a cup of tea, brought it upstairs and dropped it all over the carpet.

onwardandupward · 14/08/2008 10:51

Goddammit. I've been feeling so smug reading all these "I am spotty" woeful posts.

Not so smug today.

OP posts:
Cocodrillo · 14/08/2008 12:49

I spotted (geddit?) blackheads on my face at the weekend. I swear, I've never had blackheads. Horrible. I ming.

MarkStretch · 14/08/2008 14:18

Muuuhahahahahahahahahahahahaha the chin spots will get you all eventually muuuuhahahahahaha!

rosieposey · 14/08/2008 14:20

Lol - i counted 5 yes 5! spots yesterday and no amount of Benefit boi-ing will help

DD1 is 16 today - omg i cant believe how quickly its gone bless her and i cant believe im doing it again

Scan went fine yesterday - they measured me at 13+1 by the babys size but i was only 12+4 (god i hope its not going to be huge) have put a photo of lo from yesterday in my profile photos hands legs and everything were visible but the only prob was he was asleep and the sonographer prodded him to wake him up and he sort of gave a stretch - kicked his legs for about 10 seconds and drifted off back to sleep! Lazy bugger lol - hmm methinks he is going to take after DP in that department. (btw i dont know that it is a boy yet just assuming so after all these girls!

Markstretch i know what you mean about being tired - i cant stop sleeping - i just seem to be permaknackered ...

TinkerBellesMum · 14/08/2008 14:44

Spotty, she's 25 months on Sunday.

Seems a good name for you at the moment

spottyshoes · 14/08/2008 15:16

Lovely pics Rosie. Looks like a boy to me

Confused by what you mean with your dates though - why haven't they moved you forward to 13+1?

Tink - how very dare you

rosieposey · 14/08/2008 15:29

He he - well my mums hoping for one of the blue variety but i dont really mind :D

Well i asked her as both the private scan i paid for 3 weeks ago put me due on the 18th of Feb and then this one put me due on the 17th but the sonographer said that there would need to be more than a weeks descrepency between their dates and mine (21st) so as its only 4 days they are going to stick with my lmp/edd. She also said it doesnt matter particularly as because of my history of Gestational diabetes i would be 2 to 3 weeks early anyway because of an induction. Have first consultants appt a week next Weds so ill see what she says about it all.
