Night lardybump.

Mmmm Ben & Jerry's! I ate 3 slices of pizza and felt sick....but could maybe go a bit of icecream......

I'm crap! cant even party on my own:-

3 slices of pizza, 2 sips of drink, now sick & knackered so bath will be shower, epilating will be shaving and Sky+ will be whatever crap is on terestrial TV in the bedroom coz i'm going to bed!

God I am soooooo sad

Night all. Happy painting MS

rosieposey · 15/08/2008 21:12

Lol - DP is out arsing around skateboarding with his mates so i am left to eat ice cream too and peruse e bay - i really shouldn't be left to my own devices on a Friday evening as i end up spending money online

No nesting here am afraid - im waiting for that bit to kick in. Bet it wont be till the last bit.

Off to Alton Towers next week for the day as DD's B/day present - feel slightly jealous as wont be able to go on anything - last time i was there in May was the two weeks or so before i got preg and i went on everything! Will be looking wistfully at Rita, Oblivion, Air and Nemisis but can watch and laugh at DD getting scared witless!

dinkystinky · 15/08/2008 21:37

Hello ladies - am back from a freezing cold week in the rain in a tipi in herefordshire (weirdly enough enjoyed it, despite the cold and awful weather - and DS (aged 2.3) LOVED it especially getting covered in mud all day long and running around the site with the older kids). Boy can you guys talk!! Congrats to all of you who had scans and was so sorry to hear Haventgotaclue's news - I hope she's getting lots of support. Sorry too to all of you guys getting spots - I've had them for ages but they are mostly passing (drinking tonnes of water seems to have flushed them mostly out) along with hairiness (lucky DH!) and stretchy pains. Now encountering the joy of pregnancy constipation - oh joy! Will be investing heavily in some prunes tomorrow...

pluto · 15/08/2008 21:43

Out-laws have arrived for the weekend. So far so good but wish me luck. I have pretended to be going to bed now so I can disappear while we are still being nice to each other. Baby news seems to be the safest topic to stick to - that makes everyone happy!

spottyshoes · 16/08/2008 06:58

Glad you had a good break dinky even though it rained and you were in a tipi . Going to grab that glass of water!!!

Good luck with the outlaws Pluto - Yes MIL It's such a shame that pg women need to go to bed religiously at 7pm every night to MN sleep isn't it?

DH stumbled in late last night and woke me up! Not to clever getting up at 6am to go to work though hahahahaha. Smelly boozehound!

When are we supposed to be blooming btw???? Still waiting

spottyshoes · 16/08/2008 07:00

Me too rosie! I bought some nice new nappy wraps on ebay & ordered a rather large amount of clothes from Dotty P & Bloomin Marvellous

I'm a liability when bored!

MarkStretch · 16/08/2008 09:36

I am picking dd up today!

I woke up this morning with a craving for apple crumbl with raisins and loads of cinnamon so have decided to put a beef stew in the slow cooker and make a crumble ready for when we get back from the airport as dd will probably be starving!

I have missed her so much! I tidied her room yesterday and sniffed her pillow cos it smelt of her.

Oh just to add to the crazy dream stories - I have had another.

I dreamed that I was heavily pregnant and contracting and turned up at the hospital and rang the doorbell (!?) and a nurse came out. I said 'please can I come in, I am having a baby' and she lent over and picked something out of my hair and said 'no, you've got nits' and shut the door.

spottyshoes · 16/08/2008 10:22

Yay! I'd miss DS like crazy if he ever went away! Do you have anything planned with her for the rest of the holidays? Your dinner sounds lovely

PMSL @ you & the nits!!!

I still haven't 100% forgiven dh for having an affair in my Tuesday night dream

spottyshoes · 16/08/2008 10:22

Our maternity ward actually does have a doorbell!!!

PinkTulips · 16/08/2008 19:24

nope.... haveing the opposite of nesting here sadly.

house is turning to shit around me.

exhaustion is back with a vengance. i fell asleep on the couch watching gymnastics last night and only woke at 12.30 to drag myself to bed... could barely get up this morning, been veggig on the couch with kids except for the few hours th epower was gone and the 15 mins it took me to make rice krispie squares, then fell asleep with ds for a couple of hours. still shattered and really need to get off my ass and give them a bath and put them to bed.......

i'm really looking foward to nestng, my house has never been cleaner than the days both my kids were born!

MarkStretch · 16/08/2008 19:27

My living room floor looks like a bomb hit it and there is laughing and screaming and chaos.

DD is back! (and DSD is here too)

Yay!

Pink, I just drove for 5 hrs and now I can barely move for exhaustion. I think we take it for granted that the little things still wear us out. Don't feel bad, you're growing a person! x

PinkTulips · 16/08/2008 19:31

so does the maternity ward where i had dd and ds.

it had an intercom you had to press..... poor dp had to stand there like a twat with me hanging off him and say 'erm, my girlfriend's having a baby'

spottyshoes · 16/08/2008 20:44

I dont know why ours bothers! they let any bugger in as I found out to my displeasure when weird extended family started wandering into my room whilst I was bf and bonding after 48hrs with no sleep

Ding Dong

"Hi, it's Joe Bloggs from the tax office come to see Mrs X about her tax returns for 2004 - is this a bad time?"

"Hell no - come on in!"

spottyshoes · 16/08/2008 20:47

Sorry that was a bizarre rant. I'm just so tired and feel really sick again. Have a headache, foof bone is aching, sciatica is threatening to ping every move, 2 new chin spots....blah blah blah. Woe is me eh?

Off to bed. Night ladies x

anyone else feeling irrationally low? I am super snappy, super tearful, super low and almost, dare I say it, regretting all this...please tell me it's hormones.....

Clarabumps · 16/08/2008 21:09

yes yes yes.. had a flakey today and went from being normal to feeling like i wanted to walk out the door and not come home. Was at a birthday party today and felt totally out of sorts and not at all social. keep having the recurring feeling that i'm going to be found out as a "fraud" good mum. I'm not one of these "doing an ironing while making a dinner for four" type mothers. My ironing pile is always the size of the chair. I can never keep my sons socks in pairs. There are some nights i totally forget i have to make dinner as i would happily live on cheese on toast(and dp cant apparently)Just feel mega sensitive and feel a bit like a flakey mammy who can barely cope with one kids let alone two under two.. am i paranoid?

Clarabumps · 16/08/2008 21:10

oh and i remembered another thing... i never have wet ones in my bag. ever!

MamaGoose · 16/08/2008 21:24

Neeerly3 - you've updated an old list. You need to use the one that Rachrox did on Thurs 14th at 17:19.

winemakesmummyclever · 17/08/2008 09:20

Morning,

Sorry to see everyone is feeling so poo. Having a v v lazy weekend. Amazed myself by having the energy to stay out late watching Batman last night. Of course, it's back to usual now with a 05.30 start from ds, so I figure a hour slobbing around will do us all good. It seems that the sickness is finally starting to fade - thank god!! Hopefully we will be blooming pretty soon

Clara - you actually iron?!? You must be a domestic goddess! Things just get folded very neatly here and ironing is only undertaken as a last resort.

Dinky - glad you had a good time. You are a braver woman than me!

Pluto - hope the outlaws are behaving themselves.

Spotty - ranting is allowed, in fact it is postively encouraged .

Markstretch - glad dd is home safe and sound and relieved it is not just me having the odd dreams.

Hi to everyone else - have a good weekend and hope you all feel less spotty/ hormonal /nauseous soon .

MarkStretch · 17/08/2008 10:49

Have posted in chat about this but I am feeling so guilty.

It's dd's best friends birthday tomorrow and her mum planned her birthday party for yesterday, then realised dd wouldn't be able to come as not back from Ireland so she changed it to today and it is pouring with rain and has been all night.

She had planned a BBQ and bouncy castle and now she is panicking no one will turn up and her dd will be devastated. I am going at 12 to help her mop the bouncy castle

onwardandupward · 17/08/2008 15:26

Am lol at Spotty's tirade. The tax man just did it for me.

And am at the idea of anything being folded neatly let alone ironed. I'm not sure we even own an iron. And the creases all fall out once you've been wearing something for an hour or two. Slummy mummy, me.

Had the most fantastic sunday lunch today, with crackling done to a turn. Mmmm. And I hadn't cooked it. double mmm.

OP posts:
laidbackinengland · 17/08/2008 15:45

Markstretch - don't worry about the rain... kids don't care what the weather's doing when there is a bouncy castle to be jumped on and it will give the adults a chance to stand inside and drink wine stay dry.

Onward - we are having pork for our late Sunday lunch too...Yummers !

My head is about to explode - I have spent all weekend writing up a case study for a course that I am doing and I have just finished ....but I am 1,000 words over the permitted number. I am hoping that if I make the font smaller no-one will notice

I am ashamed to say that I am still wearing the pjyamas I woke up in yesterday morning and have not showered or changed since then - such was my determination to get this piece of work finished !!

Off to have a bath, celebratory bar of chocolate and to say hi to the kids who have probably forgotten who I am !

MarkStretch · 17/08/2008 17:16

Well luckily the sun came out and the party was saved! Hooray!

DD is knackered now though and has been lounging for most of the afternoon. We were lying in bed together watching a video and DH came and got in too and fell asleep and snored so loudly we had to come downstairs as we couldn't hear it!
He's on nights again tonight so have left him there!

Laidback- that sounds like hard work to me- how did you manage it with pregnancy brain!?!

Oh and I just have to add- there was another mum at the party today who is 15 weeks too and due at the same time as me. It's her second too and she wasn't even showing . She was still wearing normal jeans.

Meanwhile I was popping out of my trousers- it is impossible to hide my bump any longer! I look about 6 months gone already!

spottyshoes · 17/08/2008 18:34

Oh O&U I looove crackling, dont know many people who can do it properly though (including my mum and she's a fab cook!) So am v

Laidback - WELL DONE!!! Bet you're glad it's over. What was your % that you could be over? When I did my essays (Nott Trent)I had one returned as they had a scanner that they ran down the pages to count the words

Glad the sun came out for you all MS - no such luck here. I love the fact I have a podge bump already and would be if I didn't by 15wks. I'm in my normal jeans today and have been walking round with them undone so will be packing them away tonight and embracing the old maternity trs with relief
