cyteen - I too am suffering heartburn with trying to drink RLT. mind you, I'm just suffering heartburn full stop.

Have also had lots of people saying 'not long to go now'. Have to admit, I'm kind of holding on to that at the moment, like a mantra ... 'not long to go, not long to go, not long to go...'

Where do you ladies get these Hotmilk nursing bras btw? I haven't actually been fitted for nursing bras, should I go for an NCT fitter, or pop into a shop in bluewater. Advice anyone, as to best shop etc to go for??

I just went to House of Fraser for the fitting - I've heard other ladies recommend Bravissimo as well, but Leicester doesn't have one of those (bloody provincial Midlands). You can get the Hotmilk stuff online, from Figleaves or similar. In fact I ordered mine via Blooming Marvellous and took advantage of the 10% discount for MN members

I would recommend House of Fraser/John lewis/Bravvissimo for measuring and then buy at Blooming marvellous but DON'T get measured by blooming marvellous (may just be our branch) the girl had NO IDEA, she just handed me a tape measure and then headed off to get a chart and spent 5 minutes trying to figure out my size, admitting they were not really trained just given a sheet with details of how to do it - bra's are fab but service is dire.

They only had the tea at the shop where I got mine. I'm surviving though. Heartburn is nearly constant anyway. Ifinished a medium bottle of Gaviscon in one week!

There isn't a Bravissimo near me,so Will have ot go for one of the others.

Sazzles...go look at vacation rentals!! Helps keep the mind entertained when one needs to have mind OFF a bad focal point.

Dizzy, I'll hang on till everyone's popped but figure my anal updating skills wouldn't be necessary on a post-natal thread. Kinda don't know how my mind's going to be at that point either. Scary thoughts of ice-cream in the oven and potroast in the dishwasher come to mind..... No sleep No brain syndrome.

Feel I have done ok today. Imogen has fed loads, have seen the midwife who thinks that my infection is still there despite antibiotics finishing today and also says that the pain I am getting from my wound is because I have three 'lumps' in my scar where nerve endings have been sown on the outside! Yuck, she claims the pain will go away but that painkillers won't help til it does - nice!

Had the two boys at home this morning whilst DH tool DD to swimming lesson, they behaved beautifully until midwofe turned up whereby the wrestled and fought and acted like morons the entire time!

Took all four to the playground for an hour where I met a friend.

Managed to upload all my pics of Imogen onto the website we have and facebook so the world can now see her! If any of you have added me on facebook link is on my profile.

And have continually fed Imogen!

Am off to bed now. DH been great. I'm shattered though.

TS please can you update the list. Little Sam was born via VB and IN not CS. It all happened pretty quickly once they got the drip in and although they asked me if I wanted an epidural when they checked I was already 8cm dilated and so they said it was too late and they'd only got half the drip in so he arrived in about 4hours (pretty lucky for me really)

Have just spent first night at home. Sam did remarkably well. So am hoping that continues. Still struggling a bit with the feeding and have one very sore nipple as apparently they are a little 'short' but am still persevering.

Hope everyone else in the waiting room has a good day and those with their LOs are doing well.

good luck Sazzle you are probably on your way to the hospital now... really hope all goes smoothly and there are no delays.. will keep the kettle on the boil with lots of tea for your prompt return!!!

Sibh and FHLH i am also getting the calls and texts about if i have had baby its driving me mad and making me very angry... i lost the plot and burst into tears which my dh was very supportive about and promised me it would all be over soon...

i have midwife today and hopefully she will do a sweep.. not holding out much hope today for a babe in arms but you never now!!!

Hi all, I'm still a misery guts at the moment so won't stay on long. Sick of not sleeping. Literally NO sleep last night again. I'm going spare now. Feel very angry grumpy weepy etc from sheer lack of sleep. How the fuck am I going to look after baby when it arrives when I'm already a sleep deprived wreck and still got three weeks till EDD? Sick o heartburn that feels like its going to burn a hole in my chest sick of Fucking restless legs sick of everything. Just want ONE night when I can get say 5 hours sleep, is that too much to ask??

Sorry to be a whinge will go now.

the lack of sleep must be seriously doing your head in and now is definitely the time for getting as much rest as possible.. would it be worth speaking to your midwife/doctors to see if they could help?? Huge hugs going your way xxx

annvan I think you are right to be worried about the lack of sleep you are getting at the moment. Please go to your GP and ask for some help - there may be something they can do. Also might be worth considering something like hypnotherapy???? Maybe a reflexologist could help? They seem to be able to help with other things?

Annvan I really feel for you. The restless legs is horrendous but I only get it in the evening. I have it all the time even when not pregnant. I see it as my bodys way of telling me I need to go to bed. But as your not sleeping either that must be worse

Reflexology could work.
Even if it natures way of preparing us for sleepless nights a head its not funny.

I had`lots of BH's yesterday had a shower and they eased off a little. Never had that many at once and for so long.
Could be the reflexology or the mad cleaning.
who knows.

Had a practice run with the pool last night so Dh knows how to inflate etc...
Didnt fill with water though.

Morning All in Sazzles absence I have made tea, RLT (capsules available too), and hot toast and selection of preserves. (she could at least have prepared it all before she left!)

Annvan please ask your reflexologist to do something - mine presses some amazing buttons so I sleep the night after a treatment. Also I know it's difficult but try not sleep during the day - you may find you body clock needs to reset itself and you have got into a 'habit' of sleeping in the day and not at night. (don't mean to sound bossy but DH had a stage during a very stressful time at work, of being unable to sleep at night and got himself into some bad sleeping habits!)

No1 It is men in general! mine forgets how to read when it comes to instructions!

no1 It was probably the mad cleaning! And they are worse when you haven't drunk enough. Funnily enough I usually get them all the time but mine have actually lessened lately. No idea what that means... They are very powerful now when I do get them though.

My dh is obsessive about reading the instructions. I on the other hand have the patience of a gnat and cannot bear to read them - probably why I am so bad at lego/building marble runs/building train tracks etc etc

TS Oh dear at dh wanting to 'try for a boy' Haven't you been through enough?! My dh is just worried about having the snip atm! I've told him I'm afraid he's doing something about contraception this time as I don't get on with the copper coil and was on the pill for 17 years so don't want anything hormonal either. Off to post about being snipped actually to see what other men went through and see if I can allay his fears...

Sorry in advance for the self indulgent post but I feel like crying ...... DD2 has got Chicken Pox, we've just got dressed and she's got 3 spots ..... what shockingly shit timing !

We know for definite DD1 is fine to visit hospital now she's all scabbed over, there's no way DD2 will be allowed to visit as she will defo still be contagious and I;m still none the wiser what it means about bringing the baby home. I know I wont have to stay in the hospital but is it OK to bring the baby home with live chicken pox in the house ??? What does it mean for a newborn to catch the CPs ?
