oopsacoconut · 07/08/2008 14:39

hi all,

pertole good luck hun, thinknig of you. getting really nervous now. Still haven't packed bag and going to be sooooo busy tonight filling cupboards and the like, making things clean for baby. however may not get the chance, cons just started again, with avengence... will wait and see on that one! with other 2 went in to labour day before planned induction so who knows??

who else has food on offer then? i'm famished, just eaten some coco pops, toast, chips, cheese and crisps

AnnVan · 07/08/2008 15:35

Lol Sazzles -10 am tomorrow! Mmm though at champagne - can I have some?

bealcain you do love to keep us guessing don't you? Ive eaten toast, two samosas, and leftover bread and butter pudding. I'll join you in the fat bloater corner then shall I?

bealcain · 07/08/2008 15:37

i don't like keeping you guessing per se, just happens that way.....sorry >

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 07/08/2008 15:41

mmm Bealcain cocoa pops I love them but keep forgetting to get some in. I seem to be addicted to raw carrot cant get enough of it. very odd.
Head of midwifery and some others came to see me today regarding my home water birth I finally can have one after all the messing about (another thread)
They managed to get someone out of my area to agree to come to me as my local hospital are not yet trained in water births.
Went very well I now feel so relieved and very happy
So I am measuring 40 weeks at 36+5, says it will probably be another big one but its not a problem.
Cannot believe the difference in attitude by a mw that is so pro Home birth.

Also as I was saying earlier dh wont come anywhere near me, the conversation of induction came up, and Mw suggested sex, you should ahve seen dhs face...PMSL

Really sorry for rambling on just needed to share as feeling so positive now.

AnnVan · 07/08/2008 15:42

No criticism intended bealcain. i do wonder how you manage to stay so sane, considering whats gone on or you over last few weeks. DOn't think I could cope with that at all.

bealcain · 07/08/2008 15:44

that sounds really positve no1

aaaahhhhhh i've just started bleeding!!

AnnVan · 07/08/2008 15:49

no1 - good news for you then! I want a water birth as well, but Ill be having mine at the hospital.

AnnVan · 07/08/2008 15:53

Bealcain!!!!! At it again

Hope you're ok there!

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 07/08/2008 15:55

Good luck with the water birth AnnVan
There are only 2 available at the hospital outside my area and cant guarentee it will be free, so thats one of the reasons I am choosing home.

Bealcain are things going to get going for you then now, I hope so, dont know how your coping.
Have you packed your bag yet???

bealcain · 07/08/2008 15:56

nope no1 mum will be here in about an hour so will start then!

oopsacoconut · 07/08/2008 15:57

Bealcain hope you are okay - just go in and tell them to take it out pleassseeeeee

Sazzles wanna come clean my kitchen??? Will swap cleaning for freshly baked chocolate tart and clotted cream

OOOHHH Annvan can I have any leftover samoasas? they seem just what I need along with cheese, white bread rolls, ice and orange juice lolies Think we might have curry tonight and not cooked by me. I think i deserve a night off.

No1 Am pleased you managed to get your homebirth - i have been following your story on the other thread.

DH was NOT impressed with his leg art today - he didn't notice last night as he had already taken his socks off. He can't even hide it - it is 2 inches high and about the same wide, on the back of his calf - he can't hide it tonight when he runs either (which will teach him to still run when I can't, so revenge on two fronts)

oopsacoconut · 07/08/2008 16:20

okay - my turn to kill the thread. Maybe I should start a monologue like TS

Hope it's because lots of you are in LABOUR -Esp. TS, Shazza, Bealcain

Good luck Perlote I know you are in progress!

AnnVan · 07/08/2008 16:25

Oh Oops - Have a samosa, I've got acouple left

PMSL at your dhs leg art. hehe. Teach him to make comments to hormonal and uncomfy woman!

bohemianbint · 07/08/2008 16:37

no1 - congrats, I'm aiming for a home water birth as well, although starting to panic that I may flood the house hauling my massive self into it...

Good luck everyone on the way!

I've got a real craving for samosas now as well, dammit...

AnnVan · 07/08/2008 16:38

Maybe samosas weren't such a good idea. THey're repeating horribly and have given me heartburn. Oh well.

FoghornLeghorn · 07/08/2008 16:43

Ooops lol at DH, serves him right I dare say I was referred to as Shamu last week !!!!
AnnVan Lamb Samosa will do lovely thanks
Bealcain Good Lord woman ! Fingers crossed everything is finally getting going and keeping going for you

Had MW apt, she wouldn't do a sweep as not due yet but she is going to do one next week at 40+1 which is fine by me. I'm feeling really shite this arvo though .... midwife said re: DD's chicken pox, I have to tell hospital as soon as I get there, it's very unlikely baby and I will be allowed home for a while (didn't give an indication of how long) and also that DD wont be able to visit. I should've asked what the incubation period is for being allowed to visit the hospital. Midwife said same will probably go for DD2 even if she hasn't come out in spots and it's highly likely she'll be in the early stages and they can't risk it at the hosp

FoghornLeghorn · 07/08/2008 16:45

So the 2 most important people to see the new baby wont be able to for god knows how long

AnnVan · 07/08/2008 16:50

Oh FOghorn - for your situation, the timing really couldnt have been worse could it? Hugs your way, and my last samosa.

Buckets · 07/08/2008 17:07

Hi y'all as they mightsay round TS's way.

Hang on in there Foghorn, you never know you might end up with a surprise homebirth!

No1, that's good news for you. Can honestly vouch for the sex idea, it kickstarted both my labours!

STILL waiting for DH to upload baby pics, it's a new camera neither of us understands yet. Kurt is a bit jaundiced now and has been asleep in the sun on my bed ALL afternoon (woke him up for 3 minute feed.) Have been sat with my boobs out and coffee mugs propped underneath them with my knees, gently drip drip dripping to ease the engorgement . Have a pair of breastshells on their way but not for a day or two.
