lol sorry, the memory loss in pregnancy is starting to affect me, how can i forget he had a b'day!!! no, not twins, but close, a year and 5 days between them!!! sorry to hear about your sickness!! i'm lucky, haven't actually been sick yet, although have felt it!

Welcome kat!

Well ladies today I feel like crap. At 5am ds2 woke up teething and was very sad, which woke up ds1, so the three of us were in my bed watching curious george until 6 when ds2 finally dozed off and I brought him back to his crib. Ds1 however didn't want to back to sleep so he's kept me up. I'm still wearing my pajamas as I'm too tired to get up and leave the house. Oh well at least the children have eaten today.

MKG - my dd was up at 5.20 this morning - I think teeth too - lots of hand chewing and she wailed for about an hour until the Calpol kicked in. How old is your ds2?

I am now using In the Night Garden as a babysitter so I can have a cup of tea and some MN! Dd is entranced!

auntyspan 7th is becoming quite popular now...welcome to the club!!! Glad scan went well!

I am doing okay...apart from getting alot of judgmental comments from 1 girl at work (you may not remember, but its the same one who left notes on my car while I was napping one lunchtime!) I am starting to think that this is not helping my emotional stability at the moment!

Oh well...another day of work calls!

I hate judgemental people. Especiallt those who tell me to get married because I am pg.

oh nice! I had the marriage line from my mother. I was not particularly impressed.

sorry, meep no funny stories today because... duhdahdah! I was not sick today. I tried eating a little something whilst I was still in bed before I got up, still had nauseous moments twice, but wasn't sick. HUZZAH!!

Meep--ds2 is 15 months, and ds1 just turned 3. So come March I will have 3 children under 4.

I've just figured that I will be married for 6 years next May and I will have spent half my marriage pregnant or breastfeeding.

Anyone else had weird looking sick. This may be tmi but I was sick yesterday what looked like a kidney bean. I hadn't eaten much so I was a bit concerned about what it might be... until I realised it was chocolate brownie!

Just thought I'd provide an update, went for my second dating scan on Tues, baby is now fine, just a bit younger than previously thought. So my new due date is 8th March. I am feeling a bit more positive about the whole thing now. It has been such a stressful time and becos I've been so worried I've not wanted to tell people I am pregnant.

But now everyone knows and are being so nice, it feels a much better time. Starting to actually look forward to having a baby (well may not the having - but you know once its out!)

Babyinbelly I am waiting for someone to say that to me!! My mum and dad didn't...they both understand things are diferent now that they were "back in the day!!" But....I haven't told my grandma yet...and when we got engaged (cant afford a wedding...and wont be able to for sometime now!) she asked if it was because I was pregnant!! So I am pretty sure she is going to expect us to have a rush wedding before baby comes...well she can sod off!!

Hey all, glad all scans are going good, still not got a date for mine and I am 12+2! Think its the confusion over me moving house they keep saying I will get a letter through "shortly"!!
Ds not been too well he's to get an op in his throat and they have discovered he has a wee heart murmur so I have been busy with him in and out the hospital, still feeling exhausted don't think that is going to lift any time soon, and the nausea seems to have got worse again although mw told me this is a good sign!

Hello. Mind if I join you ? I have been shamelessly and rudely lurking for about 9 weeks now too scared to join. I briefly joined the March 2007 antenatal thread but m/c at 7 weeks and it has taken me this long to get pregnant again. I just had my 12 week scan and am 12+6 so beginning to believe it might be true. Due date is 13 March (my original LMP date, but the private scans dated me as 16 March but baby appears to have caught up a bit so back to first date !). My hospital does the combined test for downs syndrome so I don't find out until next week my results from this.

I have 1 dd who is 3.7. She had IUGR in utero so I see the consultant tomorrow to see how they are going to deal with me over the forthcoming months.

I'm really sorry for all those who have lost their babies in whatever circumstances. Its such a dreadful time and so unfair. I hope you're all back on the antenatal boards soon.

Hi there wheelybug (what type are you......cow...bee.....mouse??!)

MKG my dd is 14mo - and having just been to the park with some of my antenatal friends, they all seem to be teething at the moment and waking early (3 of us were up before 5.30am!)

laweaselmys - during my last pregnancy my dh used to force feed me a ginger nut biscuit as soon as I woke up every morning - it was the only way I could function! Haven't been quite so bad this time round! But hooray that your stomach contents are still intact today!

Just got the date for my nhs scan - I will be about 14 weeks by the time it come round !

emma just ignore the judgemental folk - one day it will be their turn and they will look back in horror (or they are just inherently nasty and that you can't change)

Its amazing how some people seem to think they can say what they like to you regardless of how it might make you feel. Not just when your pg either. People comment on my relationship, my weight, my parenting skills. Who do they think they are?!! Don't they realise that their 'helpful advice' is not wanted.

Which reminds me. Why do people also think they have a right to touch your belly when your pg. Dont they know at this stage there is nothing to feel!

Sunnydale, your words brought me to tears and it takes a lot to do that these days (bizarrely pregnancy seems to be making me more heartless than usual, rather than more emotionally fragile).

Though I'm sure it must be nigh on impossible not to, please don't feel guilty, or judged, or any less of a mother. Please don't feel as though you've let anybody down. The decision was yours to make and I only respect you all the more for your courage. My thoughts are with you. Big cuddle.

meep she is just a cow!! thinks shes good at everything, is really into her looks (false eyelashes, hair extensions, fake tan...all for work!) So i dont think she will change...who is she to tell me that I shouldnt have time off work ill as im "pregnant not ill"?!?! Has she ever heard of pg induced migraines, SERIOUS fatigue, the emotional highs and lows?! Arrgh...I get annoyed just thinking about her! Think Happy thoughts!!!

Babyinbelly I completely agree with you...for some reason when you tell people youre pregnant they seem to take that as carte blanche to question everything you do and stick their annoyingly sticky beak into your business...on a regular basis!!

I have one girl at work who is into pg bellies...but i know this, and even thought i dont have bump yet she still like a feel...so i indulge her!! However, if any strangers start molesting me they are in for a serious shock!!!

When I was pg with ds1 I lived with the fathers sister. We were both of sick the same day. I had awful stomach cramps because of being constipated related to being pg. My housemates dad came and said i'm not as ill as his dd i'm just pg.

To make matters worse work then didn't believe I was really ill. I didn't give them details but they told me if i had stomach cramps I should have been in hospital beacause i'm pg.Do they not understand there is some parts of pregnancy you dont want to discuss.

My sil this time round is obsessed with baby bellies and even after being forewarned dont touch me I dont like it she still had to tickle it with her little finger. Luckily her sister is pg so she leaves me alone.

Thanks for the welcome - Meep, I am none of those, I am a ladybird - well at least that was what dd had when I was desperately trying to think up a name no one else had thought of and I saw it and thought aha !!

On the 'everyone asking you questions' - my MIL is obssessed by my morning sickness. She rings every few days and quizzes me about it - are you still feeling sick ? were you sick today ? do you feel sick as soon as you wake up ? are you feeling sick now ? Its not my favourite topic of conversation as you can imagine !! My MIL did also touch my bump when I was pg with dd and refer to it as hers . OOh and she was obssessed with my weight gain in my first pregnancy and didn't believe me when I told her the MW didn't weigh me at all.

Right am going to attempt to add myself in to the list....

My mother is just as bad. With ds1 she refers to him as 'her baby'. ie 'wheres my baby today?' He is 2yo and she still calls him baby.

Now pg again she phones and says hows Jonathan? hows baby? What am I suppose to say. The baby is the size of what? A plum, a peach at most! Its still there but how am I supposed to know how it is. What about how I am?

And with last pg I got phoned EVERY DAY from 37 weeks to 42 weeks asking 'is it here yet?'

Babyinbelly - was it you that mentioned odd sick? I paniced one night cos I thought I threw up quite a lot of blood. Then I remembered I'd been eating chocolate!
