Oh Boobz sorry it didnt go as well

As far as i know your fine to eat curry LOL

SquiffyHock · 18/08/2008 12:31

Boobz, your scan picture is fab - I had one done at 8 weeks and the difference is amazing! Maybe that explains why I feel so awful, there's lots going on in there!

grinningbee · 18/08/2008 12:32

Afternoon all!

Welcome Squiffy love the name

I had been having on and off waves of queasy feelings, but boy has it hit me today! I'm 8+1 and feel shocking. I thought I was going to be sick this morning, but managed not to be (so far). It's manky!

On Saturday I ate a whole bag of haribo sour fizzy sweets, and have developed a taste for gherkins... talk about cliche.

I rang up the dr's this morning to see the midwife, and they won't see me until I'm 10+4. Does that seem a bit late to anyone, or is it just me being a worrywort? Ah well, as long as I don't have to wait too long for the 12 week scan, I'll be happy.

MKG · 18/08/2008 12:42

Morning all,

I made pancakes for breakfast today. Sure beats cheerios. I haven't actually had morning sickness, by my adventurousness for food is gone. I'm craving much more plain foods lately, and comfort foods. Last night I ate plain noodles with a little bit of butter for dinner and nothing else. I'm also going to McDonald's for cheese burgers quite a bit. I never eat fast food normally, but whenever I'm pregnant I crave cheese burgers.

boobz- I'm sorry things didn't go as well as planned. But don't worry, all will be fine. I was told by my inlaws that I shouldn't go upstairs (while pregnant with ds1) as the baby could fall out). I asked what I should do as I lived in a second floor apartment at the time.

Grinning bee- Sounds normal. Here getting an appointment anytime between 8-10 weeks is normal. They really don't like to see you before then.

HopingCat · 18/08/2008 12:55

Grinningbee - my first MW appointment is tomorrow, and I'll be 10+6 weeks. I was given my scan date before my MW date, so I get the impression that the date you see your MW will not affect when your scan is.

For those wanting to feel better, I started feeling better last week (at 10 weeks) but it's not been very gradual. You might wake up one morning and realise you are feeling ok. I get the odd time when I start to feel a bit sick again, but it's not like it was.

And whoever it was saying they only want to eat bread, this is what I'm like. Toast for brakfast, sandwiches through the day, toast in the evening. I'm getting quite bored of it, and am probably putting on more weight through eating bread than being pg. Sometimes I have crumpets as a change!

MollieMooma · 18/08/2008 13:02

I have taken myself off the list, dating scan this morning showed baby died just after our scan at 7 weeks. Hope you all have happy healthy pregnancies

MKG · 18/08/2008 13:18

Mollie--I'm so sorry . I hope you are ok.

MollieMooma · 18/08/2008 13:24

I'm feeling a bit numb to be honest and very angry as I have had horrendous MS for the last 4 weeks for absolutely no reason, I had a missed m/c back in Jan and it felt different this time, but obviously not meant to be.

MKG · 18/08/2008 13:38

My advice, is just feel however you are going to feel.

When I had my miscarriage in January there were days when I was confused, angry, sad, totally normal, back to sad, then cheated, angry, back to normal. And as September comes closer, a little sad again.

Feel however you want to, and don't worry about anything else.

dinny · 18/08/2008 13:54

Mollie, so sorry, how sad for you.

CaptainKarvol · 18/08/2008 14:03

Im sorry, Mollie

SpookyMadMummy · 18/08/2008 14:20

Mollie...{{{{hugs}}}}

Boobz · 18/08/2008 14:34

So so sorry Mollie. Now feel a complete idiot for worrying about Mother in laws and various other trivial things...

I'm so sorry for you.

auntyspan · 18/08/2008 15:05

Mollie so sad for you

Thinking of you & your family x

Mollie so sorry...thinking of you. Sending you big hugs!

grinningbee · 18/08/2008 18:11

Mollie, so sorry to read your news hugs to you and your DH.

Slickbird · 18/08/2008 18:36

Aww, Mollie, so sad and sorry to hear your news. Apart from the loss of the baby, I can understand your anger and being sick for a month for no reason. Sometimes life just isn't fair. Wishing you all the best at this difficult time. ((((hugs))))

chiplet · 18/08/2008 19:19

Mollie - sorry to hear that, I really hope you're OK.

Have been away for a bit so has been great to get back to the link. Am a bit behind on the MW stuff I think. I went the the GP when she thought I was 7 weeks (I was 5), and asked me to come back in 4 weeks.
So went back today and they haven't referred me to MW yet. I've got a telephone assessment on 16th Sept which is week 13. That's not even for the scan. This seems a bit late.
BTW, for all those older mothers, I'm 39 and although we've been trying for 7 years, we are much more ready both emotionally and financially for the baby now than we were 7 years ago so there must be something in that.

calsworld · 19/08/2008 12:00

Mollie, sorry to hear your news.

Chiplet - are you in the UK? I thought it was normal for everyone to be referred to a MW at 8-10 weeks and scan by 12 or 13 weeks at the latest? What's a telephone assessment? Is there a MW unit you can phone to see if this is normal?

I had my MW appt tomorrow and feel very relieved as she was lovely. We talked through everything that happened during my last pregnancy and through delivery and beyond and she was quite horrified at the catalogue of issues that I experienced - she said she's going to really try and make sure its better this time around - fingers crossed it will be.

My scan is now booked for two weeks time which is when I think I'll be ten weeks but MW has est. 12 weeks based on LMP. But as I have long cycles I'm fairly confident this will be put back so I won't adjust the list just yet.

emma2617 · 19/08/2008 12:55

Oh the shame whilst packing up the house last night I found an unused pg test...and I peed on it This despite doing at least 10 tests after I got my BFP and a bloody scan picture!!!

calsworld · 19/08/2008 13:05

Emma! Now that's addicted!!!

(I trust you got a BFP!) I'm sure if I found one I hadn't yet peed on I'd be straight on to it!

Am jealous you've had your scan - I've got two weeks to wait, which I know isn't toooo far away but still seems like it at the moment!

Am away for the weekend over bank holiday so that should help speed the time away.

Slickbird · 19/08/2008 13:26

God I feel crap today..... Wish this sickness would stop, it's making me short tempered with my hyper 7 year old who is desparately needing to go back to school...One more day! The 11 month old is a piece of piss compared to her! Am sitting here thinking, OMG how will I cope with three? But then I try and remind myself that I won't be chucking by then...

emma2617 · 19/08/2008 13:26

Calsworld I know!! I was only TTC for 1 month after I got implant taken out, but even in that short a time I still developed a serious POAS addiction!! I went through 15 ovulation tests and 10 super sensitive pg tests, then I moved onto Predictor, First Response and ClearBlue...all in one month! I think I was getting withdrawal, it seems to have settled the craving now!!!

I got my scan date 3 and half weeks before the scan and it felt like a life time, but time flew!!

Does anyone know when the worry stops?! Even though I have a scan and all is okay I still cant relax yet!

calsworld · 19/08/2008 14:32

Emma - asked my mum when the worry stops and she said it never does...

you worry you're way all the way through pregnancy, then their first year, next thing they're at school, college, jobs, relationships, etc etc etc !

She's right so far although it def. gets easier once they've arrived safely!
