Hi Everyone
I'll resort to my old greeting, have no idea if it's morning or night in UK now.
Just wanted to tell some of you girls my thoughts,
Uwila i heard a birth story very similar to yours from my student (last week)who's daughter lives in UK she also went 2 weeks overdue and had problems, she is now also pregnant and has a good obstetician this time because last time she went public the new ob said he wouldn't dare let her go 2 weeks overdue. Also at my birth centre they only let you go a week over. She also had a cesear last time too and i told my student I read this somewhere that if you have had one cesear you are meant to have all later deliveries the same!!! So i think you are definately doing the right thing having another one, thanks for sharing your story it gives us some perspective

Jonah B i cried when i read your post, i am facing the same this month, my previous baby was due 23rd i feel so emotional about it all, i think it is also preggy hormones i had a horrible vivid dream on sat and woke up choking on tears, i've never had that!!! dh was rather weirded out. Also like Berolina i concieved 2 months after m/c and it is hard to believe it will all be o.kay.

I also had a look the other day on m/c thread and alot of the august due women have had m/c it was so hard to read, but i feel for them. Anyway we are lucky, and i think i'm gonna be a horrible teary mess at the birth. The pain may even be therapy for me..
bye for now
Uki

Hi!

Chocolate cake sounds scrummy. Sadly, all we have here is a Total garage and a cr*ppy sandwich shop, so I've had to make do with a flapjack.

I'm quite looking forward to the whole birth thing now. I think I have finally accepted the fact that it has just GOT to come out the way it went in, so I'd better just get on and deal with it, rather than worrying.

Anyone else getting real stretching sensations in their tummies now? A couple more weeks and my belly button will have gone completely!

welshmum · 15/02/2005 14:04

Yep Scraggy - the top of my bump is heading upwards - along with some twinges that make me go 'ouch'. Sometimes I look down and think - good grief, are you up there already.

Uwila · 15/02/2005 14:10

Oh yes, can't lean forward at my desk any more. I hat leaning back. My arms are too bloody short to type comfortably then. But, ahhhhhh... I can breath then. Jeez, almost four more months to go and brething is already difficult. Definitely ready to start eviction proceedings. But, I'll just have to wait until the lazy little man is ready...

teabelly · 15/02/2005 15:00

Scraggy - my belly button is doing the opposite and getting bigger and bigger...if it carries on like this dd will be able to climb out that way if she wants!!

Uki ((hugs)). The due dates of both my ectopics were in septembers, but as I conceived ds and this one in septembers I like to think there was a little bit of divine jiggery pokery going on there ...mad I know but then that's me all over!

Ok who started the chocky thing?? I've managed not to succumb yet...but now I'm off to the bank and I know I'm gonna have to get a big bar of the sweet stuff on my way back to the office!!

Getting twinges. pulls and kicks from all over at the moment, and the bump has definitely started to move up meaning I've probably only got another week or two of pigging out before it becomes too uncomfortable to eat super large meals without indigestion! ...on the plus side I'm looking really preggy now and fit into all of my pg clothes without just looking fat, hurrah!

Oh right, I now have a rather less than apealling image of Teabelly's bellybutton. Why does this thread always go downhill in the afternoon?

Well in last hour I've had one Dairy Milk and 2 homemade brownies. Very nice too. Still 2 hours of rounders tonight should burn it off

katzguk · 15/02/2005 15:45

I have the GUYS around me eating chocolate.

teabelly · 15/02/2005 15:57

Uwila...it get's better - everytime ds sees my naked tummy (which will be whenever we're in a shop and he pulls up my top to show everyone!!) he sticks his finger into my belly button and says 'ooh big'

KVG - he he I ended up with a big bar of Green and Blacks organic dark...and it went in precisely 3 mins flat, yum!

oh Welshie now you've got me thinking of chockie brownies.....

MrsWednesday · 15/02/2005 15:59

Sod it, if you lot are all scoffing chocolate I'm going to get myself a double-decker. I'm just too hungry to last until tea-time.

Welshmum, do you use Suzy Wong's world famous brownie recipe? I have to say, I make a batch of them every week now and they are absolutely bloody gorgeous.

teabelly · 15/02/2005 16:00

Here's the recipe.

happy baking

Heaven in a biscuit tin.

teabelly · 15/02/2005 16:11

Mrs W...oh go on, go on, go on, go on, go on....! Just an ickle one, he he he!

KVG - well done you! ...I've watched the London Marathon!

teabelly · 15/02/2005 16:13

thanks...guess what dh will be baking this weekend...I'm a crap cook so he'll have to do it!

charleypops · 15/02/2005 16:14

Pink - I never found a worthwhile boyfriend younger than 30 so I wouldn't sweat it. Pamper yourself. I didn't get any Valentines this year either.

Scraggy - Glad to hear you're all better. I'm going to mention to dp that a nice pressie is expected for having a baby I might steal your diamond earring idea actually... How on earth did you get all that pampering though?? By the way, does the Total garage sell chocolate Boasters? our old local one did . Might not be a good thing actually....

Tessie - glad the lippy worked! Are you enjoying your new hair yet?

KVG - I have lived in both York and Harrogate and requented Betty's in both

Welshie - my dp's got a slightly blocked nose and is telling everyone he's got "terrible 'flu". Your cs sounds great! My dp's mate's girlfriends (also due in June) is at UCH too - I bet your paths have crossed. She's had a few probs and was a long time ttc-ing so she's there all the time. I told her about MN at the weekend, so hopefully she'll join up.

Uwila, I'd be worried about pooing after a cs - worried enough about it after a vaginal delivery. I probably won't dare eat I'm also starting to get breathless, even when I'm not doing anything (like lying in bed)

Uki (((hugs)))

What's all this stuff about bumps moving up? Mine's been just under my boobs for weeks already - he can't move up anymore surely?!

You lot should be banned from talking about chocolate brownies. It's not fair, I'm big enough already. I've just sent dp out to get me chocolate fudge cake and cream... I'm now going to have to buy all the ingredients for Suzy's recipe. There's no hope.

teabelly · 15/02/2005 16:19

Morning Charlie...he he he!!

charleypops · 15/02/2005 16:22

Cheek! I'll have you know I've cleaned the house, fixed the washing machine and taken the doggie out ALREADY and it's not even 5!

Dp wouldn't let me have the lap top until I'd done it

teabelly · 15/02/2005 16:30

LOL! Oh my, how your world's gonna change in a few months, he he he!

teabelly · 15/02/2005 17:00

Well that's me killing the thread again ...off home now ...have a good night all, see ya tomorrow
