sazzles I've had a glass of Pimms today (and yesterday) so I'll join you in lush's corner! Btw you are mad to get rid of that mobile - the music goes on for 15 minutes. Enough time to have a shower! I never tried to use it to put them to bed by but they loved it in the early morning and during the day. ds used to kick his legs and wave his arms madly when it was on! I bought one for both my sil and sister when they had babies.

Cyteen I like the name - Joseph is ds's second name. He was given it after a little boy I used to babysit for as a teenager.

Pg1 sympathies with the bowel problems. I have the opposite problem atm. The pressure of ds on the old internal bits is beginning to tell...

Had a very relaxing afternoon with our neighbours and children entertaining each other in the paddling pool. I think I have eaten enough food for a week - including a blackberry and limoncello trifle I made that said it was 1000 calories a serving ds2 has gone quiet - I think he is beginning to run out of space...

That's great Poppy, happy homecoming!!
And what is lush's corner? Do we all bring a bag of goodies courtesy of Lush??

Would love to get into a bath but DIY is still in progress. DS's are being quite a handful so they will be going to bed asap.

Feel tired, hot, uncomfortable and could burst into tears for no reason at all. I think a few pick me ups are in order this week...

Is there a pamper me corner?

PetitFilou1 · 27/07/2008 19:21

Postscript

CC Hope you are ok

poppysocks Sympathies re the tantrums - ds used to have spectacular ones and still has his moments from time to time. I have to pick my battles. Post about them - it is no problem - those of us with children already have all been there, seen it and got the t-shirt (between us at least)

TS She'll be out soon - she can't stay in there forever!

ChaCha · 27/07/2008 19:23

I take it Lush has something to do with beverage corner? Excuse ignorance, i no longer drink! Duh....

Lush = drunkard.... i needed dictionary for that LOL.

oopsacoconut · 27/07/2008 19:25

Evenin all

A lovely HOT day here DH took me out to lunch today at a very POSH pub (funny stars and all) it was amazing food but i think I may have to go to the naughty corner - DH had the most amazing liver pate to start and I stole some when he wasn't looking (I have been desperate for pate for 34 odd weeks now!) Then i ate my wild boar salami salad before roast piggy and eton mess. Then came home ate loads of ice and off for a nap which didn't involve any sleeping

PG1 - I am with you with the bowel thingie - I have been 6 times today - didn't know i held that much

Cyteen - great name - was on my list but DH didn't want him to be Joseph who was going to ST Josephs school!

TS - Good idea for evicting babysurfer - i might have to find a tractor to help the local farmer with ploughing - no mechanical bulls around here!

Everyone Else HELLOOOOOOO [waves]

CaptainCaveman · 27/07/2008 19:31

Right then. keep posting and losing it by pressing wrong button. Stupid pt line.

bp coming down and the enforced bed rest means i can see my ankles once more! mw has warned me that my uric acid levels are raised so they may not let me go tomorrow . See cons in the morning.

Missing my little boy but have been talking to him on the phone.

max 10 days to go!!

Posting is v slow but will keep reading the thread. Please make me laugh!!

oopsacoconut · 27/07/2008 19:34

CC - Sorry to hear you are in again - especially in this heat. will say lots of prayers tonight so you can get home to DS tomorrow.

I have just eaten a block of cheese (a WHOLE 125g block ) and I hate hard cheese - can anyone tell me why???? Now i feel sick

TwilightSurfer · 27/07/2008 19:43

Well no exit action yet. I did however just give myself a foot massage with a wonderful salt scrub. One foot was easier to reach than the other. But I did get them both. I think I'll skip the polish for now. Natural is fine for summer toes.

Captain, that's wonderful news about your ankles. They won't keep you in there for 10 days will they???

Oops, I've even considered going over to my uncles and taking a spin on his ATV. Who knows 4-wheeling might work.

This naughty (lush) corner is getting crowded. Will pop out for more spirits and ice.

Speaking of ice....who mentioned that the maternity ward doesn't provide ICE!!! WTF!! It's not like it costs a million. I'll have crushed ice coming out my ears during the birth and thereafter. Can't imagine it any other way.....would be criminal.

DANCE PARTY anyone?? SHAKE YOUR BOOTY....EVICT YOUR BABY.....

poppysocks · 27/07/2008 19:57

Phew! DH home. DD now, of course, being an angel... Really don't mind though as am now off duty .

Sorry CC - I def. won't have been making you laugh today. Will try to do better tomorrow! Hope you won't still be there though.

Cheers Sazzles - pineapple and coconut with lemonade please and LOTS of ice!!

CC - Hope you've got something good to read or watch, think of it as a rest. Know how much you must be missing DS - he'll be looking fwd to seeing you, i missed DS so much i cried when in with the SPD with DS2. Thinking of you.... keep smiling!

Hi Oops.
Poppy - Understand now. Think it' a lovely idea. Glad DH home, get your feet up and switch off.

DH is showering the kids in the paddling pool with hosepipe - bathroom that looked lovely now complete mess again. Am off to dry them and get them to bed - dont care if they are up too early - i need kidfree zone time!

Love x

oopsacoconut · 27/07/2008 20:10

Sazzles - DH seems to think we need to get these places out of our system before bubs arrives so it's actually off to The Priory for lunch tomorrow - Chris Horrocks is a bit of a pratt but his food is FAB. Followed by a Pig hunt in Bath city centre - they have all these piggy statues painted and sponsored by local businesses - the kids at work loved pig hunting so we thought we would do an adult run of the pigs. We went to Le mazot at Whatley Manor near Malmesbury. Also one recommended by the Stars company is The Pear Tree Pub in Whitley near Melksham/Bath.

PetitFilou1 · 27/07/2008 20:18

at creating shapes sazzles - makes you realise there is a fully grown baby in there doesn't it.

Re the mobile, strangely enough ds did switch his on at night as an older baby to get himself back off to sleep. Wouldn't have worked for me but he likes things noisy. He kept complaining today it was too quiet (two girls and his sister)

Why does this heat make you so tired? TS By the way this is 30C I'm whingeing about not the sort of temperatures you have to put up with!

oops over all those places. We're sending fil and wife to Manoir au Quat' Saisons for dinner to say thanks for all the help with our new house. Wish I could go myself!

OP posts:
oopsacoconut · 27/07/2008 20:39

PF - Manoir is one of my favs - I love eating there, although after this week we will be out of cash and not be eating there for a while

I was changing the bedding in our room tonight and pulled off DH's pillow case to find a tiny newborn babygro in it - when I took it to him to ask why it was there, he said I keep it there incase she needs to to to special care when she is born - then she will have her Daddy with her [cue tears] he put it there when I was in contracting a few weeks ago and we thought she might arive early. So it is now on top of her hospital bag and will be the first thing she wears. I never knew he was capable of feeling like that [cue more tears]

PetitFilou1 · 27/07/2008 20:48

oopsacoconut · 27/07/2008 21:17

Hi NAtalie - Welcome

Just type it in on the thread and our resident FAB person Twilightsurfer will add you to our long and pretty list.

TwilightSurfer · 27/07/2008 21:19

Natalie....just post your stats and I'll add them to our posh list. We have loads of bells and whistles around this thread. AND LOTS OF CHATTER!! Beware of the corner though LOL

oopsacoconut · 27/07/2008 21:22

TS beware of which corner - the naughty corner, the lush's corner, the smelly corner, the food corner, the i'm pi$$ed off corner etc. etc. etc. we have many corners or is it the same corner and it just keeps changing names??? How is Baby surfer?
