Cyteen that is a lovely name

Poppy thank you lovely flattery will get you everywhere, not bad for a hugely fat pregnant women eh

Sorry to hear DD threw a nice tantrum for you - kids eh, they always seem to know when you're frazzled!! Hope she has a nice long nap for you!!

We've decided on 3 names for DS btw - I couldn;t choose so thought sod it he can have both middle names

Xx

miamla · 27/07/2008 13:25

VG friend says yes, absolutely! but when she found out it was your second she'd like to know when DS arrived in relation to his due date.
oh and it was me with the crop circles!

VintageGardenia · 27/07/2008 13:29

Oh! am delighted by the reassurance promise from a medical professional! Excellent, will get diary out.

DS was 8 days overdue and only arrived because he was induced! Am hoping this looming threat of induction causes either my body or the new baby's to decide to kick into gear naturally.

pregnancy1 · 27/07/2008 13:41

Right, I'm sitting at my laptop in the sweltering heat, working because one of my team has gone sick and I need to get her work done as well as my own before my last day tomorrow (company franchise commitments or I wouldn't bother). grrr.

Anyway, I'm feeling even more direct that usual so apologies for tmi. Is anyone else pooing for Britain at the mo? Seriously - gone from mild constipation in the second trimester to lots of mr whippy (sorry!) for the last weeks or so. Had a boiled egg yesterday for breakfast and didn't poo yesterday, but have just had my fourth today... Is it just the heat? Because I'm 37+1? Anything else?

Also, I think my boobs have shrunk. Seriously, my bras are feeling a bit big - thought it was becuase they are cheapo ones that have stretched in the wash, but no. Faced the hell that is mothercare wold yesterday to be told that my nursing bras shoul dbe about 2 sizes smaller than the one I'm wearing now. Didn't buy any and she was trying to sell me ones that fitted now saying that there was a bit of room for when my milk came?! double grrr

Sorry - needed a distraction from my world of spreadsheets and board papers! Right, ranting about absolutely nothing has cheered me up now - thanks for reading

poppysocks · 27/07/2008 13:44

Will keep my fingers crossed that once your brain knows that the induction is planned your body will kick into action, VG. That's what happened with DD. Tried every single trick in the book/old wives' tale, went for my sweep at a week over to be told that I was nowhere near. Booked in for induction 48 hrs hence and started next night. Am sure it's because I finally relaxed and stopped thinking about it.

First Captain sorry you're back in the hosp BUT can't some lovely mw help you along and get the ball rolling. Sorry my mind is stuck on getting things going at the moment.

I've been jiggling, shaking my hips, bouncing like mad today. Asked DH just now if any of the local bars had a mechanical bull that I could go ride. He just laughed and said why don't you just try jumping rope. Anybody skipped rope to get a baby out before. 37+1 today and full steam ahead to get this little one OUT!! If she doesn't start her exit today, I have a doctor's appointment at 9:45am in morning AND I WILL GET A CERVIX CHECK....the more poking now the better.

TwilightSurfer · 27/07/2008 15:11

Pregnancy1 about your poo....are you getting enough water? If you don't it can cause the big D and even contractions. Up your water intake and see if that evens things out a bit. Otherwise you can chalk it up to prelabor cleansing...which happens too.

TwilightSurfer · 27/07/2008 15:14

Oh another positively awesome note for me...not only is the head fully engaged but the baby is in the post position (she's facing my back. I've been massaging her back and butt all morning.....totally cool. I've also been telling her she wants to get out NOW....she obviously listens like her big sister.

TwilightSurfer · 27/07/2008 15:15

Off to find out what a sweep is.....

Off to the naughty corner

ChaCha · 27/07/2008 15:36

TS - I didn't realise you were 37weeks now, congratulations, is your MIL with you indefinitely until you give birth? At what week was DD born? I went to almost 40 and 41 with my DC and it was hard - I hope you have the baby with you asap.

CC - You are in the best place as rubbish as that sounds on a sunny Sunday afternoon - they'll hopefully be keeping a good eye on you - will be checking to see how you are.

Sazzles - All this BBQ'g - yum! I did want to suggest to DH that we at least get some burgers going later but he is still in DIY mode and do not want to risk taking him out of his 'zone'. Also don't feel like cooking again - must be the heat.

Cyteen - Lovely choice of name.

Poppy - I missed posts mentioning your sister so bit in the dark - glad day has been a little better.

Mrs Mag - Gorgeous piccies!!! Good for you on making the effort, don't know if i could have done the same.
Good luck at m/w. Waiting news.

Have i forgotten anyone? AS always, sorry if i did. After reading all posts then making pitchers of drink, providing kids with fruit bowls and listening to DH I forget some stuff.

x

ROFL at Sooty's friend

TwilightSurfer · 27/07/2008 15:41

ChaCha, DD1 was born about around 38 weeks (numbers not quite certain..pregnancy was a surprise). And yes, MIL here till baby's out.

Still giggling about. Doing some yoga now. Might turn on some reggae in a bit.

cyteen · 27/07/2008 18:04

Yeah TS, get bogling! You might shake the little one out after all.

MrsM well done on your fortitude re. brother's wedding. I must say you looked very good, shame they didn't appreciate you more...ah well, rise above say I.

pg1 I totally know what you mean about the pooing. After suffering through constipation hell in my second trimester, I now seem to be regular at worst, overeager at best Can't say I'm complaining - the constipation was seriously the worst pregnancy symptom for me - but it does make me wonder if it's the body getting ready for D Day.

Hope you all have enjoyed your Sundays. We had a fab time at the picnic and got to meet three of the new babies, who are all totally delish. I even got a cuddle with my friend's two week old son and spent some happy minutes gazing in fascination at his tiny eyelashes and listening to his sleepy lamb sounds

I'm on countdown to joining you in the lush's corner, Sazzles. DH's plane landed half an hour ago so once his bags are out (....) he'll be home soon. Thank the Lord. Never will I have been so pleased to see him. DD didn't really nap in the end but has been basically ok, bar a messy tea that ended up ALL over the kitchen when I tripped on taking it away from her .

My goodness me TS - What a thought - couldn't imagine just getting myself onto a mechanical bull, let alone letting it loose!

ChaCha - you're lucky you've missed out on all of my name procrastinations. In a nutshell, I had a sister, who died when v. young and so was I and before the other siblings arrived. DH loves her name and I don't really see it as hers as have come across plenty of others of that name over the years. However, obviously slightly different for my parents. Mum would love the name to be used again and feels its time to move on, but my Dad - an enigma at the best of times - is being more reticent.
