TwilightSurfer · 24/07/2008 21:40

ChaCha you're a week from today!!!

And still no word from Sassylou........

That would conclude our honorary July members.

TwilightSurfer · 24/07/2008 21:42

Does anyone see a pattern to these July folks and their CSs????? {hint: it's of the male variety)

Buckets · 24/07/2008 21:49

Woohoo Albs! Good luck getting some sleep tonight .

PF, give him some small practical task to do/build/fix and leave him to it til he's done. That little bit of success will boost his ego enough to feel confident about everything else. Men prefer to empty their minds of the difficult stuff to give their brains a rest, rather than talking it through and knocking problems down to size like we do. Idiots.

ChaCha · 24/07/2008 21:52

Great stats TS - just love your updates and yup those smiley faces seem to be getting few and far between... was a week today!!

VG - Thanks, that's the one i was thinking of so i can try a tad of each IYSWIM. Thought that was easy enough for MIL to buy and then DH and my dad can get extras for me, have you tried the shampoo and conditioner btw? Am very big on toiletries i'm afraid - much to DH's annoyance and need for more bathroom storage - but our bathroom is looking good now that it's almost done, everything has a place.

Children got tired, BBQ was eaten indoors and I am absolutely shattered - have overwhelming need to clean though...crazy isn't it.

ChaCha · 24/07/2008 21:54

Cant believe i didn't mention this earlier, the mucous plug thing, if i notice 'bits' of stuff in the loo is that what is it giving away? I think i had it last time but can't really remember. Sorry for TMI>

poppysocks · 24/07/2008 21:58

Congratulations ALBS! Great news to hear that Henry's here. Hope you both get some decent rest tonight.

poppysocks · 24/07/2008 21:59

Ooh ChaCha. A show and a compulsion to clean...

TwilightSurfer · 24/07/2008 22:18

GEEZ I gratuated ALBS but forgot to...
CONGRATULATIONS ALITTLEBITSHY!!!

TwilightSurfer · 24/07/2008 22:20

ChaCha...yes mine was in bits at first then "CLUMP". Obviously, as I'm still with child, IT MEANS NOTHING!!!!!!! So don't fret. And...I didn't have it with my first one either.

TwilightSurfer · 24/07/2008 22:49

Well ladies, guess what indulgence I still haven't indulged in????

What do you think about this diaper bag? Does anyone already have one like it and therefor have a first hand opinion? Is there a color that jumps out and says ME!ME!ME!?

LadyOfWaffle · 24/07/2008 22:58

My show last time was a huge plug, but this time I have been losing I think bits for ages... baby still in place

TwilightSurfer · 24/07/2008 22:58

{{twilight looks around the empty thread, takes out a broom and begins to sweep}}

TwilightSurfer · 24/07/2008 22:59

oops sorry LOW I thought everyone had turned in for the night....

LadyOfWaffle · 24/07/2008 23:05

Not me yet - only just gone through my hospital bag (still more things to find/buy/pack!) and am now finally cleaning the breastpumps, bottles and steriliser. Then have dinner... So am doing bits of catching up at the same time

pressure? what pressure?

returns back to hiding in the corner, shivering like a nervous wreck

Sibh · 25/07/2008 01:34

Come out of the corner slowly Miamla. The others are only trying to wind you up by claiming this is a baby thread. It's actually just a den for compulsive tea-drinkers.

It's lovely to hear that Henry and JJ have arrived. And I hope things are going well for Saul aswell. And can I just send on all my thoughts to Dizzy too? You have gone to such effort to spend all the time you can with your mum and your family over the last few weeks, and I hope that will be a comfort as time goes on.

My bed is my own again after our guests have left. They were an old uni friend and her daughter and the friend is, in When Harry met Sally terms, a high maintenance woman who thinks she's low maintenance. I love her to bits but have to screen out about 40% of what gets said ...

The big advantage though is that my own multiple faults have been made to look puny in DH's eyes by comparison and he keeps telling me how lucky he is to have me. [hmmm]

I was looking forward to a decent bit of sleep but the knitting needle thing has me hopping about, like the rest of you ... I had lots of fun this evening sorting through outfits for the baby from DS's old clothes though. He just couldn't believe he'd ever fitted in to them.

ChaCha · 25/07/2008 01:36

Thanks ladies, that's what it must be then, bits of mucous plug - lovely! Am very happy for baby to stay until scheduled section date next week, do not fancy an emergency section by any means!

Sazzles - When PG with DS1 we had a man fitting our kitchen tiles who told me i'd be having a boy and gave me a weight - he was right. Never really thought much about it but funny how seem people just seem to know.

After being sluggish and bad tempered for most of the day I achieved a LOT this evening and am feeling very good about it. Have swollen ankles to prove it but worth it - ALL the laundry has been put away - weeks and weeks worth, linen all changed, dusted/tidied and gotten rid of 'junk' bags - am seriously into the less the better at the moment as i know i'm not going to get a lot done with 3 small children and cannot bear the faffing about of a morning because i can't find things etc.. I have even labelled DC's drawers so that DH knows where things are and doesn't dress them in pyjamas as can be the case here [snigger] and with shoes on wrong feet to match!

Hope those of you who don't usually sleep well are resting, I want to sleep but can only do so sitting up at moment and baby is in strange position so will wait until i just crash. Can't believe i'm waffling away on here at 1.30am - sorry!!!!

ChaCha · 25/07/2008 01:39

I am not alone

Waves to Sibh....

ChaCha · 25/07/2008 01:46

Ladyofwaffle - Not sure if you'll see this but have just seen your post on iron and wanted to say that i had 2 out of 3 iron infusions recently and as i had a problem with the third the m/w told me that i should still be ok with just the 2 and that they take around 10days to work. If you still have 2 weeks and are worried perhaps this is an option? They didn't take long, maybe 40minutes or so. My levels after having both DC were awfully low and no one it seemed noticed until now hence the urgency to get them boosted, neither tablets nor liquid iron worked for me, got sick with them both.
HTH.

Sibh · 25/07/2008 01:51

Waves back to ChaCha
Wow, you got so much done today. The idea of three is a bit daunting isn't it. Three children, two arms is an equation I haven't worked out the solution to yet.

I'm just trying to work out whether getting car insurance quotes using dialup will drive me to the edge of sanity or help put me to sleep ...

MrsMagooo · 25/07/2008 02:02

Ooooo am I not alone in being up at this unearthly hour??

ALBS Congratulations on the arrival of baby Henry

TwilightSurfer · 25/07/2008 02:38

Just wandering onto the thread to say I feel your discomfort ChaCha. My little one is in an odd position this evening too. Can't figure it out and can't make her move. I feel like my belly is about to EXPLODE.

MrsMagooo · 25/07/2008 02:45

TS {{{{hugs}}}} &

E is wide awake & wriggling around, feels like he's trying to tunnel his way out - woke up with awful stomach/back pain that has now subsided to nothing

Well got the usual period cramps so no change there!

TwilightSurfer · 25/07/2008 02:49

MrsM mine trying to tunnel out too BUT she's tunneling the wrong WAY!!!
