bigboy huges sympathies, mine are at least away on the Med cruise - their second holiday this month

CaptainCaveman · 18/07/2008 21:01

ok I'm off to eat an ice-lolly and drink some iced water. Seems I have a bit of an 'ice' thing going on. Supposedly a sign of anaemia isn't it?

Love and hugs to you all, sleep well, or as well as you can with a bloody huge bump attached to you!

dizzydixies · 18/07/2008 21:02

oh oh oh I forgot to mention - I ordered 4 nursing bras from figleaves last night with a code I got off mumsnet and it gave discount of 15% and free delivery if anyone is still shopping for their norks

Shazza2002 · 18/07/2008 21:02

Do they do cruises to the bermuda triangle ?

dizzydixies · 18/07/2008 21:03

nice CC I won't be far behind you as dh on a 6 - 4am shift and will therefore sleep all day tomorrow before starting again at 4pm

dizzydixies · 18/07/2008 21:03

shazza don't farking tempt me

how was your wedding btw - am sorry if I've missed that, my head has been all over the place recently

TwilightSurfer · 18/07/2008 21:06

okay my neighbor just phoned to say she was just diagnosed with shingles. our kids play together almost daily with us rocking on my front porch watching them. there's no way that can hurt the baby, right? dd did sit in her lap this week...but dd's had the chicken pox vaccine. just wondering

Shazza2002 · 18/07/2008 21:10

You have understandably been otherwise preoccupied the past week dizzy

Wedding was ok, very tiring trying to get through from Friday to Sunday without alchohol aswell. Nice to be away with DP on our own, that makes me sound evil doesn't it?. Although we did spend the whole time talking about DD

dizzydixies · 18/07/2008 21:12

TS put it out of your mind, no need to worry at all

am glad you enjoyed the wedding shazza did you look divine in the dress?

TwilightSurfer · 18/07/2008 21:13

thanks dizzy

TwilightSurfer · 18/07/2008 21:21

Sazzles that sounds like some of the sites I've just googled. I'll probably still mention it to the doc on Monday. GEEZ like I need one more thing to worry about. The only bad thing is SHE WAS MY BACKUP SITTER for DD this weekend if the birth proceeded!!!

thank u for support ladies on inl's visiting.
i shall keep chanting piss off you vile peopleeverything will be ok till you've gone and keep giving them my fake smile (whilst thinking about sticking my fingers up at them when they can't see)

bigboydiditandranaway · 18/07/2008 21:32

oopps can't do the crossy out thing!

dizzydixies · 18/07/2008 21:33

how long are they staying bigboy?
remember you're allowed to go and lie down and leave them to entertain the dc - tis their job

Shazza2002 · 18/07/2008 21:39

Dress/top for me did look nice actually, and a few people said how well I looked for being that pregnant so I was chuffed.

Well TS I am a strong believer in sods law, so now you have no babysitter who knows how this weekend could go

TwilightSurfer · 18/07/2008 22:23

Evening all! Had a nice day - with a lecture at the hospital by an obstetrician. Kind of reassuring, as I am so far from home and things are quite different here I find it really helpful to ask loads of questions so at least I will know what is happening or going to happen rather than feel like things are happening to me but I don't understand why. Then swimming which I am enjoying at the moment.

My complaint though, are painful achey hands - I think because of sleeping on my side at night and squashing my arms. I have tried pillows under my front to prop me up, pillows under my back to kind of sleep at an angle this way, lots of different positions for the bottom arm and TS's yoga position trying to sleep kind of sitting up, none of which have been particularly succesful - any other thoughts? Our mattress is quite hard - might something much softer be easier on my arms? Ho hum.

Sazzles, thanks, reassuring that it will hopefully get better - I'll see how things go. So, leather shopping?

Dizzy, thankfully inl's are only staying for an hour, just to drop off my present. Seeing them for longer would be worse but tis still hard just for an hour, as they are so vile, they always make snide comments or are pushy, which takes me ages to get over and generally dread their next encouter

But if i don't have the baby till after dd they will be complaining that we haven't seen them for over 4wks(if only we could see them once a year)

Just really hope i don't go into labour before they arrive, what should i do if that happens???
