Sazzles, I was able to sleep like a LOG last night and in spurts yesterday. REALLY MAKES A DIFFERENCE!

OP posts:
sarahnh · 18/07/2008 20:33

Sazzles the gaviscon sachets have been my life savers... seems to taste alot better than straight from the bottle xxx

CaptainCaveman · 18/07/2008 20:33

hey guys, feeling blue here.

One more period pain sazz. I refuse to call them contractions because that would get my hopes up and I just wouldn't be 'lucky' enough for this baby to arrive early. Feel selfish for saying that, given all the ladies around the world who are desperate to get pg and have a baby, let alone make it safely to almost term. I guess you all know my faith is most precious to me so I'm praying all my worries/selfishness/blues over to God and leave it up to Him . Still feel selfish though!

Dh in town tonight, ds now fast asleep - I came a detour on the way home from dropping dh off, especially so that ds would fall asleep in the car

Any word on bealcain?

words of support needed please if you have time.

Shazza2002 · 18/07/2008 20:47

I feel like a kid at christmas, it's like it's all fine for most of the pregnancy, then you get to the last couple of weeks and suddenly can't wait. I keep telling myself, make the most of the next 2-4 weeks as it's gonna get so hard, but it's unexplainable isn't it.

Anyway, enough of my rambling.

BTW, I've suddenly gone for all things beginning with 'C'. Which includes Curry, Coffee, Chocolate, Cheese. DP chirps in with I know something else you like

Captain, does getting on all fours make a difference where the pain is concerned?? I've had a few crampy moments myself but think they were the result of baby dropping. Since your breech that might make the dropping thing a little different.

Sazzles, sounds like your baby will be born with a head full of hair since the heartburn's been so bad for you. I don't have a clue how to stop it.

Bigboy, practice your fake smile and then fake a cramp. Tell them bed is required then excuse yourself for DH&DS to entertain.

What a 'generous' gift bigboy - no doubt you have spent many a happy hour guffawing over admiring the album?
Hmmm. You obv get very tired as a pg lady, so how about snoring loudly at every opportunity, particularly mid-sentence if they are talking to you?
Wind can also be a problem for us pg people, so be sure to belch and fart EVERY time you move.
Not forgetting your poor pelvic floor - sit on a seat for five mins, stand up to fart/belch and say "oops time to change my pants again". When you come back from the loo, be sure to sit on another chair and repeat the above until all chairs in the house have been 'sat' on.
hth - or were you after sensible suggestions?

TwilightSurfer · 18/07/2008 20:53

seems Sazzles and I have the same idea Bigboy...we must be RIGHT!!

CaptainCaveman · 18/07/2008 20:55

hey ts, getting on all fours makes my rib pain worse, I actually want this little fella to drop instead of trying to crack my ribs with his little head. He doesn't seem to be getting the message, although I have given him a talking to this evening . Ordered him out asap.

Like shazza I feel like a kid at christmas . Your dh is rude!

Shazza2002 · 18/07/2008 20:56

Inlaws are an absolute nightmare

I played hide and seek with my MIL in sainsburys yesterday, only she didn't know I was hiding and she was seeking . I was in there with my sister talking away then I caught site of the evil MIL, next thing I did a big U turn, very hard when pelvis feels like it does and was shifting as fast as I could the other way. Left my sister talking to herself

Just think, in a few weeks time we'll all be posting about how knackered and sleep deprived we are, how much our knockers hurt and how dh's seem to develop a 'phobia' of babies cries
