Whew...Sazzles you have me worried. I almost told DH to go pick dinner up so I could be here for you. It's just the restuarant at the marina next door so it was no big trip. However I did change from my bathing suit into a t-shirt and shorts but no makeup. As for my contractions they were the hardest I've had all day....ALL THROUGH DINNER. I kept gasping for air amidst our dinner conversation. Still have hard belly syndrome but at least now I don't have to hide my discomfort. They are just really really really tight but lack the gut wrenching crampy pain that I so know and don't love. Very close and rhythmic...however I can't get a count. Who the F^&% came up with contraction counting anyway?? I'm contracting, it hurts, that's that!!

Anyway, glad it was just bowels for you.

Dinner tonight was grilled chicken with rice pilaf, salad, rolls, cheese sticks, and a sprite. In the reverse order oddly.

Now time to balance the checkbook.

Aaargh insomnia.

Nice thing about dogs is they are always happy to wake up and keep you company.

I agree with oops re the week thing. When you're 17 you're in your eighteenth year, but you can't vote until you actually turn eighteen and are in your nineteenth year. Similarly the baby at 36 weeks is in its 37th week but until it turns 37 weeks is not considered a 37-week baby. I have seen 36 weeks and 37 weeks given as full-term.

Sazzles you sound like an ideal friend! I look forward to seeing you in a couple of weeks when you drop by here with a shoulder to cry on, plus my lasagne, a separate meal for DS AND an extra-lemony drizzle cake. It's going to be great!

I am going to a dinner party tonight and have nothing to wear, my lovely party dress is ruined by thankles. Can someone please advise wisely that they disappear immediately after birth, because they feel so tight and bursting?

LOL at full moon Friday wonder what will happen on this thread on that day? Maybe my thankles will start growing thick hair.

Ciao ladies, going to wander the misty morning garden.

1:30AM here. Woke to a massive wave of anxiety. And my belly hurts. And I have a headache. And I have heartburn. And I needed to pee. Argh!! Baby's moving around so I'll try and find comfort in that (although it's NOT a comfortable feeling). I feel like I'm on a teeter-tooter of emotion and I want OFF. DD sound asleep after massive emotional meltdown before bed. She just wanted me to stay with her and talk: about shopping, about the baby, about what we could do tomorrow, about the baby. She's obviously still worried. I keep telling myself that if all goes well it will be only two days in our lives that get thrown in the spin cycle. That's just a hiccup in time (no wrinkles please, altered time states freak me out).

Sazzles hope you got to go back to bed and are resting.

VG hope your wandering made you sleepy and you too feel back to sleep and are dreaming of nice things.

morning ladies.

dizzy i was 34K before pregnancy...haven't bothered gettin measured as not evne good ol' bravissimo do that size!! Do bear in mind ladies, that it;s the hormones in pregnancy that make your norks saggy, not breastfeeding!!

TS 37 - 42 weeks is considered terms. that's 37+1 etc, not 36!

couldn't sleep last night, am shattered this morning. can't be @rsed to do anything. really swollen already and *sazzles8 i'm with you on the clear out.

can i run a theory past you all??
when the midwife tells you push she always says 'into your bum, like you;'re having a poo' so what do you reckon that being constipated before hand is actually helping you to practise pushing??? (sorry, can you tell i'm bored)

having to wear breastpads all the time now as had an embarrassing moment yesterday whilst out

hope everyone has a good day today, fingers crossed, but my legs are still wide open

mmmmmm sazzles i would take you up on offer of tea but have just smashed myself a big glass of ice, so maybe in 10mins!!

TwilightSurfer · 17/07/2008 07:55

Thanks Sazzles. Still up pacing with iPod on very loud. I think I'm just stressing but can't be for sure. Still crap at figuring beginning and end of contractions. I'm not doubled over so I must be fine.

Bealcain you may have something to your theory. If you can find a good reason for constipation...I guess that's not too bad.

Back to pacing........

By the way David Gray's song January Rain (although short) is a good breathing song if you loop it. No words just guitar...
