dinkystinky - you can get weebles now off e-bay - they were made by what is now Playskool- checked the Playskool website and they don't seem to have them on there....so maybe no longer made but I think DS would quite like them too !...

herbgarden · 11/07/2008 12:46

sorry laidbackinengland - was only skim reading but see you already got there !!....just not with it today.

laidbackinengland · 11/07/2008 12:48

Hi,

Did not manage to keep up with the previous thread at all, although I kept wanting to post! My due date has been changed to the 30/01/2009 as baby's size looks like it is 10 not 11 weeks..

Had my scan and saw a lovely heartbeat, but it all still feels very early days yet. My secret is half out.. family and close friends no, but not work colleagues... feel a bit reluctant to do the work announcement yet..

laidbackinengland · 11/07/2008 16:37

Hi nkweto - it is hard to keep up with the pace !

Great that you saw the heartbeat, it makes it more real, I think.

I seem to have fallen off the last list so I've added myself again with a revised EDD having seen the MW on Weds. Dating scan on Thurs 24th July may change things again tho. Still managed to keep our news a secret from everyone but if DH wants to come to dating scan, which is at 8am in the morning, I'll need to ask someone to look after DS and finding a reason for needing childcare at that time of day without spilling the beans may be hard - and it's the first day of his summer holiday. Hope everyone is feeling well. it's the weekend - hurrah!

MarkStretch · 11/07/2008 17:10

I've been to the midwife! Woo!

Took a vast list of all my complications from last time feeling like a neurotic freak but it seems they were all quite relevant and things they needed to know which was nice.

She put me at 10 weeks with a EDD of 7/2/09- should change the list really.

what amazed me was they checked my urine and I assumed they did a pg test but apparently not. So technically I could have made the whole thing up!

pluto · 11/07/2008 17:17

Me too - I'm wondering if I've imagined the whole BFP. MW didn't take urine sample but my list of symptoms was probably enough to convince her. I had weird dream last night of scan showing a massive baby all set to be born. Until I start telling people I don't think this is going to feel real. Perhaps I'll buy another pregnancy test tomorrow. Am I mad???

MarkStretch · 11/07/2008 17:25

Nope. I have done 15 (all BFP's! )

MarkStretch · 11/07/2008 18:45

Is it bedtime yet? I can't keep my eyes open.

imaginewittynamehere · 11/07/2008 19:13

Join the club Markstretch -I'm falling over I'm so tired - & yet I still have to pack for us to go to the Lakes tomorrow at silly a'clock

LittleMissNorty · 11/07/2008 19:15

I'm the same - just can't get enough sleep....or motivate myself to do any housework

laidbackinengland · 11/07/2008 19:32

Imaginewitty - we are leaving at 9.00 this evening to do a 4 hour drive to visit the inlaws....at least you get to see some nice lakes !

imaginewittynamehere · 11/07/2008 19:54

Laidback - the visit to the lakes is a duty family visit - weather forecast is bad so is likely we may not even venture near a lake
Lakes is about 4 hours normally but with a newly potty training dd is likely to be 6 hours with stops!!

Have fun at the inlaws though - we did that last weekend
(although to be fair MIL looked after dd whilst I had a lie in on sunday so it wasn't that onerous)

herbgarden · 11/07/2008 21:01

I've been dying to go to bed since about 5.30pm !!....

Hope the Lakes isn't too wet ladies - I don't think I can get off the sofa from out of this blanket let alone pack to go away - don't envy you lot.

I have in-laws with dh sis and b-in-law tomorrow at 4pm so intend to put my feet up and let them look after ds and have told dh that he's cooking dinner (I usually do EVERYTHING...so he looked a bit shell shocked when I broke that to him !)...I have so many jobs to do at the moment and cannot face any of them. Things are slipping down hill rapidly here and DH might finally realise soon that I'm really not feeling great at the mo'...what does it take for them to see that we're not superwomen eh - I'm sure he thinks I'm just being a bit pathetic.....Aaaaargh.

Off to bed now me thinks.

MarkStretch · 12/07/2008 08:25

Morning all.

Not got much planned this weekend, Dh's birthday tomorrow but he's on nights so dd and I are going to make him a big chocolate birthday cake for when he gets up tomorrow.

Going shopping today. Think I might get measured up for a new bra. I have 4-tit syndrome and it is most unattractive.

LittleSarah · 12/07/2008 09:38

Morning ladies

Well I went out last night, argh. I so didn't want to, tired and sick. However dragged myself out. Had quite a nice time but did get slightly irritated with the drunk/tipsy people when I was sober as a judge, not that anyone (except df) noticed.

MarkStretch - I'll be getting measured too today. Going to go to Bravissimo and buy a swimsuit as going swimming today for the first time in months. Going to have to trim IYKWIM!

laidbackinengland - very glad your friend was pleased, and that dress is gorgeous. Love Isabella Oliver! Not that I've ever bought anything from there. Boo hoo.

I didn't get tested at the docs either though she did ask if she wanted me to test. I was like, no way, I know, two tests, sickness, tiredness, definitely pregnant. It's not til after you start thinking... hmmm, is it all in my mind? No way. But you do wonder. Hence why I can't wait for the fecking scan!

LittleMissNorty · 12/07/2008 09:39

LOL at 4 tit syndrome

I slept for hours and hours.....and I'm still tired

MarkStretch · 12/07/2008 09:44

I just smashed a glass in my tiny kitchen and I was stranded in a sea of shards and splinters. My foggy pregnancy brain took a while to firgure out what to do.

I too am still knackered despite sleeping from 10pm to 7am. I feel bad complaining as this is such a wanted pregnancy but I had underestimated how knackered I would be!

I am a bit short with dd this morning too which I hate as it's our time together. Must kick myself up the arse.

I am going to treat myself to Tana Ramsay's family cookbook and make us some healthy dinners for the freezer- anyone got it? Is it good? Am so tired in the evenings we are eating crap bunged in the oven and I swear it's making me feel worse!

LittleMissNorty · 12/07/2008 09:47

That rings so true here Markstretch - I can't remember being this knackered last time, but it is totally overwhelming....DH is being fab though as I just cannot motivate myself to do anything other than the essential.

LittleSarah · 12/07/2008 09:53

Totally agree re tiredness. It's just.. phew. Always there. I mean, I'm generally not going back to bed during the day anymore but I can barely motivate myself to do anything while I'm up. Gotta clean this morning for example... bah.

loopylula · 12/07/2008 10:17

Hello everyone! I haven't posted in ages due to complete slackness on my part, extreme tiredness, terrible evening nausea, etc, you all know how it goes!

I have nothing exciting to say really but I noticed someone mentioned they may ask their midwife if they could hear the heartbeat at their booking appt. and I was wondering the exact same thing.

I've got my booking appt. next week and will be 9+5 ? does anyone know if its possible to get a heard fetal heart beat at that stage?
