sorry dazie ds took it very well told him was a secret till tonight so he just kind of forgot about it and his granny was shocked when we picked him up and he mentiond the baby as he didnt even say to her! he also is hoping for another boy.

beachyhead thats great news you must be delighted very happy for you

bluestar · 22/02/2005 20:16

Just over 14 weeks and still feeling sick and even managed to throw up my breakfast this morning which left me hungry for the rest of the day! Still feel knackered too - will it ever end? Anyone else still feeling blooming awful at this stage? I just want to bloom and enjoy it!

beachyhead, glad you got good news following your scan.

Eulalia · 23/02/2005 09:02

Hi folks - we are effectively snowed in. Radio has advised people not to drive. School is closed and its snowing heavily. ds is v happy - more snowmen!

Great news on your scan beachyhead

and josey too

bluestar - I am sure you'll pick up soon. I felt my nausea went on a bit longer this time but it did go eventually. You must be well fed up though.

kate we don't usually get a lot of snow here as we are on the coast but inland in can get quite deep. Having said that its coming down thick and fast just now.

Azure · 23/02/2005 09:38

Josey great news about your scan - it's lovely when they bounce about.

Only a flurry of snow here, but then it's London. Poor DS is desparate to make a snowman.

beachyhead · 23/02/2005 11:45

Congratulations josey and thanks to everyone for all your best wishes...... My baby is hugely unhelpful in scans and sticks her head down below my right hip bone - still nothing new there in the beachy house - another child who won't do what its told.......

Are we all done with 12 wk scans and should we be off to a new thread soon????

Azure · 23/02/2005 11:52

New thread's fine by me. I don't have an amended due date because I forgot to ask at my scan if it were different, and they didn't say. Still, it's only an indication, isn't it?

Looking at the list of names at the bottom of the thread we haven't heard from a few in a while. I hope everyone's ok.

BTW is everyone still taking folic acid or have you stopped? I'm thinking of moving back on to Pregnacare - hopefully I can stomach them now.

Nome · 23/02/2005 12:08

Still here, still pg. Due on the 12 August - I'm just not a very chatty person!

Azure · 23/02/2005 12:25

Glad everything's fine Nome!

moschops · 23/02/2005 14:42

i have my scan tomorrow at 4pm, and i know i'm not going to sleep tonight.......just going to be so excited about it. and thankfully finally getting my dates settled, with four weeks difference between my dates and my doctors it will be nice to see who is right!!

is anyone else left to have a scan yet?

beachyhead · 23/02/2005 15:18

Moschops - where do you think you are up to versus where do they think you are? I can't believe 4 weeks difference...... Good Luck tomorrow...

kate100 · 23/02/2005 16:48

It's my wedding anniversry today, but I'm not feeling very romantic. Keep coughung and splutering all over DH. Today is my first day looking after DS on my own in a week, he seems to realise that I'm not up to much and is being a little angel. He's also sleeping brilliantly in his new room and bed.

I've gone back into my normal clothes as my maternity clothes are far to big for me as I've lost so much weight. Still my baby continues to move and grow, so I guess it's getting everything that it needs, it's me that's getting the dregs that are left over.

Hope that everyone is doing OK and that our babies are continuing to thrive.

josey · 23/02/2005 19:59

Thanks everyone - it was kind of announced at work today and i got really embarassed which isnt like me but all of a sudden i have about12 people round me asking loads of questions
Dh is away out tonight and has taken a pic with him as cant seem to go anywhere without it bless.

I keep waking up every morning to loads of snow and have to clear the car but half an hour later it has melted so no days off work which is unfortunate!

Aw kate100 what a shame maybe you can decide on a new date just for this year to celebrate when your feeling better which i hopw is very soon,

Good luck for tomorrow moschops

moschops · 24/02/2005 10:08

beachyhead........i say i am 13 weeks the doctor says 17.....i was totally irregular after coming off the pill. i have everything written down (last period, two neg pg tests, day i'm pretty sure i ov'd and conceived) have spoken to two midwives.....the one i am assigned to stuck with my doctors date and the other said 'rubbish.......i think you know your own body'

have been trying not to worry about it too much as my midwife said they will date me off baby's growth anyway, it's just frustrating that they don't listen.....

now a TMI question for everyone.......

i did my urine sample this morning and it was really cloudy.....is this normal? i don't know cos i've never had to do one before.......i am now paranoid that something is wrong with me and the nurse is gonna look at it like i'm some wierdo!!!

Boompi · 24/02/2005 10:43

Sneaking in from Sept thread - edd 5th. Very excited to read some of you have felt flutterings/movement. How early did they start?

Miaou · 24/02/2005 11:29

Hi there Beachyhead. My urine sample was cloudy too - I don't think I had had enough to drink before I did it! I also got told off because my sugar levels were too high (chocoholic!). But I shouldn't worry about it - sounds fairly normal to me.

Hello Boompi! I've been feeling movements (it feels like the baby is stretching out rather than kicking) for a few days now. At night I can feel it moving around inside, but can't feel it on the outside IYSWIM. However, this is bub no. 3 for me, which does make a difference - I never felt it this early with the other two.

Miaou · 24/02/2005 11:30

Whoops, I meant moschops, not beachyhead! hope all goes well for you today.

Azure · 24/02/2005 12:15

Moschops good luck for your scan today. With regard to cloudy urine, the cloudiest I've had is when I have had cystitis - the doctor could tell I had a urine infection just by looking. Having said that, I think it depends on the time of day and how much you've had to drink - it's normally cloudier first thing in the morning.

moschops · 24/02/2005 12:40

it was the first wee of the day........i was told all my normal urine samples should be from the first wee. well either way if it fine it is if i have an infection then i need to know anyway!

i'm quite nervous now about my scan.......am leaving for town soon have a driving leson at 2pm and then at hospital at 4pm. actually i'm probabaly more nervous about my driving lesson.....even though i've had loads i still haven't settled into it!!!

Eulalia · 24/02/2005 13:30

moschops - good luck today. Your urine sample sounds quite normal.

Hi nome!

Kate - sorry to hear about your WE - you can make up for it next year.

ds back to school today which I am pleased about as it was hard work with them both. There is no more snow anyway although still lots lying. Will be glad to see some warmer weather and Spring.

Dazie · 24/02/2005 15:19

Moschops good luck with your scan and the driving lesson I know exactly how you feel about that I passed my test just before christmas but havent driven that much as I hate it and dont have that much confidence in reversing im sure this will change when no.3 arrives!!

moschops · 24/02/2005 19:05

well i finally have a firm date!! it's been shifted further along than even i thought and the consultant has given me a due date of 4th sept so i'm going to switch between this thread and the sept one too.

have a lovely clear pic of my little one who is standing on its head......it made the woman chuckle when she saw it!

i feel so much better now i've had a scan and have something 'real' to look at. it's all felt so surreal until now.

Azure · 24/02/2005 19:18

Moschops - congratulations on your scan. BTW my mum passed her driving test when she was 8 months pregnant with me - she's short and I've got no idea how she even got behind the wheel. She always says the examiner took pity on her!

josey · 24/02/2005 19:20

congats moschops - you must be over the moon

i still cant put my pic down its great, i also found out a friend of mine is due 2 weeks before me so i have a bump buddy

wilbur · 24/02/2005 19:37

beachyhead - fantastic news - so glad that weight is off your mind.

kate100 - sorry you're still poorly, I know pleurisy takes ages to shift, my sister had it years ago and was really ill (and she's never ill).

Boompi - I stared feeling this one at about 15 weeks which is about the same as with my dd - with ds (my first) I wasn't sure what I was feeling was baby until about 20 weeks. I reckon you definitely feel earlier 2nd and 3rd times as you know what you are feeling for iyswim.

Josey - aaah, sweet, glad you had such a lovely scan.

moschops · 24/02/2005 19:40

Azure...my MIL passed her driving test whilst heavily pregnant and she is convinced it is because the examiner didn't want to upset her and induce labour!!

my driving instructor (who is a friend too) has said he's trying to get me ready to take my test whilst heavily pg.....he's convinced we can work it to my advantage

i would like a bump buddy too.....i'm sure when i get to the stage where i go to antenatal classes i'll know loads of people....i run a small business and know absolutely loads of people in the town!

well i can't stop staring at my scan pic.....
the baby was kickng its legs like mad and i said 'look it's going to be a drummer just like its daddy' this made my dp laugh, he says everyone else in the world would say its going to be a footballer!
