ok guys, tmi alert.

i'm pooping 2x per meal. this can't be normal! and this has been going on for a few weeks now and it's not going away, my consultant doesn't think it's that important but it's freaking me out.

mumiyumi · 30/06/2008 11:01

hopefully people feel they have the right to force their (UNWANTED) opinions on you when your pregnant, people need to butt out!!!
mustsleep hope the posty has your matb1 and you can get sorted! It's sooo frustrating when your relying on others to do their job (properly), i find it difficult leaving things to other people as i'm a total control freak and like to know whats going on at every step!!

mustsleep · 30/06/2008 11:13

mumiyumi that's exactly how i feel i have been worrying about this since i handed it in and would just like to claim my ma and know that i will get it and then it's outof the way!

well the builders were supposed to show between 9am and 10am and they haven;t turned up yet - not a good start me thinks
am waiting for someone to call me back andlet me know what;s happening

mustsleep · 30/06/2008 11:54

nope no form- called hr who are now saying that they have no record of recieving my matb1 form now!! an so and just want to get this sorted out but the school office is crap and the lady that deals with maternity in hr is off till weds

the builders aren;t coming till thurs (great when it will be raining) but no one bothered to call and inform me

hopefully · 30/06/2008 11:56

Oh poor you mustsleep, what a tedious day! Can you show up on Wednesday and refuse to leave until it is sorted? Perhaps you could follow the appropriate forms around the building until they have been dealt with.

mustsleep · 30/06/2008 12:00

i can't actually go into hr and sort it out which is really annoying as they don;t deal with that in school it gets sent off to education leeds and i don;t think i can actually go in there iykwim

i am going to go into the office and kick off about it tomorrow and make sure that she has actually sent it off - but they don't know anything in the office she tool a lot of convincing that i was even entitled to my full hol allowance for the year !!

i have asked that already starlight the ladt said today you need to ask the school if they have sent it off - this was after i had told her three times that they had posted and that i spoken to someone in hr already and she had told me they had rec'd it she says that there is no record of it!! i am soo glad i made a copy before i handed it in as i don;t think that they do duplicates - i have really just had enough and when she said that now they might not have it i really could have cried

thanks starlight i will do that after i have spoken to school again

i might actually write a nice long letter to the managing director of education leeds and mention the risk assessment business too and the health and saftey issues at work as i feel i owe them nothing but don;t want to be too shitty as might have to go back and all children have to go to that school

Ponymum · 30/06/2008 13:16

Kasha - thinking of you and hope baby hangs in there for a bit longer. You just rest, OK?

carrieon - sorry, still catching up from last thread. Feet in paddling pool on Friday afternoon sounds lovely, if the crutches allow. Can you CAT me?

DebitheScot · 30/06/2008 13:58

mustsleep go for it, be as blunt and detailed as you can. If they are slacking on things like health and safety with you they could be with other staff too and so it could affect the pupils there.

re maternity leave- I officially don't start till 39 weeks and 4 days but actually finish work at 34 weeks, in 3 weeks time.

I think we might have made a decision on a girls name- Ciara is the only name on both mine and dh's shortlist. Still no decision on boys though but think Lewis is currently top of list.

lollyheart · 30/06/2008 14:22

Hi all

Kasha thinking of you and hope your little one will stay put a while longer.

Mustsleep what a pain in the back side i no how you must be feeling its bad enough when you have got all the forms to fill out and you cant even do that yet. i sent mine 5 weeks ago now still have not heard if i will be getting ma or not i left my job when i was about 3 months gone ive worked enough weeks to get ma but worried i wont get it as i left my job.

im getting really bad rib cage pain its getting worse roll on sept. 10 weeks and counting not long.

i think we have made a decision on the name Liam timothy. dd would of been called that ds was that untill last min but than fell in love with his name now so it still might change.

Eandz i wish i could pooh like that i go days without one and in the night it decids to come it feels like im in labour my stomach
hurts that much.

Sorry long post

meglet · 30/06/2008 14:32

oh dear I am in such a foul mood today. DP has been calling me the Incredible Hulk. I've got myself in a panic over loads of my friends babies being born early in the last week (including one at 35 weeks) so now I'm panicking over DD being early. Am off to Mothercare to pay off the pushchair and cot this afternoon, in theory they say they will deliver within 2 weeks . Although I'm not holding my breath.

kasha I hope nothing has happened and everything is still ok.

mustsleep crikey, your MatB1 situation is a nightmare. Just saw your other thread, hope you can get another one a.s.a.p!

carrieon · 30/06/2008 14:45

hopefully I barely spend a couple of minutes a day thinking about my bump, it is always has been and always will be 'it', and I only used g&a in labour last time, all of which goes to show that I am a truely awful mother which would explain why dd screamed herself hoarse instead of falling nicely to sleep for her nap. Been a very very long day already...

pony I'm not on CAT. Are you on the facebook group? Mamamuffin and I have corresponded that way!

Ikea phoned today (actually I think it was DHL) about delivering our new wardrobes. They only do wednesdays, 10am - 6pm, and can't be more specific, which means I need to find someone to sit in my house next wed afternoon waiting for the delivery coz I'm not missing dd's last swimming lesson of term, they cost a fortune!

carrieon · 30/06/2008 14:47

And I need someone to have dd next monday morning while I'm at midwife. WHY did I move 250miles from my family?!!! And why have all my mummy friends gone back to work?!

I also take dd to my m/w appts although dh is going to come too this week as I have to have blood taken and I suspect she might get upset (she didn't like me having my blood pressure checked last time!).

barnpot - my dad didn't want to see scan pictures either time - not becasue he isn't interested but he feels weird about it - he is also very squeamish and doesn't want any details of the birth etc - he loves dd dearly though! My mum on the other hand was very interested...

hopefully - we didn't know the sex either time so the bump was/is often an "it" and I just had gas and air - must be a dreadful mother

kkdmom · 30/06/2008 15:50

I have been reading this book by Ina May Gaskin last night between midnight and 3 am. While asleep I dreamt I had had to most ideal home birth and a beautiful dd. Was disappointed when i woke up and realised i was still pg.

Kasha I am thinking of you. Hope them braxton hicks have stopped today.

Bloomin ikea, they are supposed to be delivering my wardrobed today carrieon (monday). However, nobody has turned up or phoned. I am so annoyed as my parents are here for "operation nursery". I hope they come soon. Borders half way up though . I managed to get thru another day at work so only 1.5 shifts left! .
Hey it will be great to meet u too pony.

Carrieon I live over 100 miles away from my folks, so know how frustrating it can be.

sorry to here about your ongoing work problems mustsleep I would definately dob them in the shit for what they have put you thru.

Sorry if Ive missed something vital, swimming lesson time x

mumiyumi · 30/06/2008 16:28

8mustsleep* don't let it drop now, ring work and hr daily until you get it sorted....it makes you wonder what kind of idiots get such jobs and how!!! I really hope you get it sorted soon, lay it on thick with them... Good luck xx
I had to sort out my husbands paternity leave form as the company he works for have a new secretary and she hasn't a clue...she told him he needed to take in the matb1 form, so i downloaded the form he needed myself!

I think i'm gonna have to take ds with me to the mw this wk and not looking forward to that, he'll cause chaos and i don't think my mw will appreciate it...

Lucky you eandz i wish i could go once a day let alone 2 after each meal!!

Ponymum · 30/06/2008 16:43

Carrieon, mamamufin, you can CAT me even if you aren't on CAT yourself. Just send a phone number or email and I'll get in touch.

Am I mad? We have just decided to move house before the baby is born. Crazy circumstances, but mostly due to my SPD meaning we need a downstairs bedroom/nursery/bathroom or else I'll never cope. Now facing the prospect of packing up, moving, and unpacking while 7 or 8 months pregnant and hobbling about on crutches... . Yes, I am definitely mad, but can't see any other option.

As for parent problems... mine are 12,000 miles away but thank god . Now even Dad has said he thinks Mum is being insensitive towards me, and has taken to calling me in secret to apologise for the horrible things she has said! Then this morning DH's stepmum called. She was so lovely and kind I just couldn't help crying, thinking, why can't my mum be like this? She and DH's dad have now offered to come over and help, which would be fantastic, except that it would greatly offend both of the other new grandmas (my and DH's mums - sorry for the confusing family). We would love to accept their offer as they are completely sane, fun to be with, and genuinely helpful. But I don't want to cause a rift... So confused!!

mamamufin · 30/06/2008 17:07

Sorry pony I must be a bit dim but "where do I send the number or email too?" . I can understand ur reasons for moving, will your SPD not go away after the delivery thou? I have it (midly in comparisson to u but was hoping it would just dissolve afterwards). Families are weird sometimes (we ve ofen discussed this on this thread), I dont think there is any right answer about accepting your parents offer. I think you must just do what feels right for you. I was wondering what village you live in? I live just outside of cawood.
mumiyumi I ve had to take ds with me to mw plenty of times. I find haribo helps
Gosh eandz you are so lucky, cant do that myself!
Hey ho. Ikea are really annoying me. They have said that my wardrobes wont come till next mon now as they are coming from a distributors (despite arranging it for today). I can however, cancel this order (pay £50 fee for doing so) go to the store re order and get it delivered within 48 hrs WTF. I am so . My folks have travelled far to help put them together. Sorry for rant, the worlds gone mad.
