Hi all. Loving that salad Buckets, did you invent, sounds like something DS might not make retching noises at, am finding it hard getting vitamins into him at the moment. Dressing is mayo yog and soy - then was cheddar in lumps / grated in salad with f&v? Your pains sound horrible, I know it sounds a stupid solution but what about lying down with your legs way up in the air / against a wall - would that relieve the pressure a bit for you if they come back?

Chic chop, CC! V pretty. Am going to make appt for self too.

Congratulations Little Miss Dizzy on your swimming achievement!

Sazz sounds like you've had a rough day, TS sounds like you've had a lovely one.

Vom at tv testicles.

ataraxis re. marjoram I'll look it up on the web, but I got it at Nelson's and asked the laydee and she said you only have to be careful of the oils in the first half of preg, that by this stage ought to be fine. I rang mw as well re RL tea and she said fine at 35 weeks. BUT BUT BUT I don't want to give anyone advice, don't do ANYTHING because I said so. Re. efficacy, I have to say the last two nights have been quieter, but I don't know whether that's just a happy coincidence...

Have stupidly, stupidly, stupidly agreed to take on biggish extra piece of work - freelance thing - was so tempted because it will be out in September (a mag thing) when I'll be all babied up and will be able to look at new mag and remember I used to have a brain . But have to get it done now, sharpish and good quality.

Buckets · 25/06/2008 18:51

LOL, fresh coriander, just a teasp so not too overpowering; diced apple; grated cheddar mixed into the dressing; forgot there was also diced raw courgette, salted for 1/2 hour then rinsed and paper-dried. The sweetcorn was frozen but microwaved 90secs in cold water to make edible. Tbsp yoghurt, Tbsp mayo, teasp soy sauce.
Recipe adapted from the back of a fresh sweetcorn pack!

Sprouted seeds are also supernutritious and good in lunchboxes, I like sunflower seeds best. Thinking about buying my own sprouting jar set.

alittlebitshy · 25/06/2008 18:51

That does sound delish buckets. This thread is turning into a salad appreciation one. Could you run through, step by step, how you made it - cos I fancy doing it but I can't work out how you did various bits - and quantities!!!!!
Me, damanding? nooooo

Dh is bathing a v v tired dd ("I had a very hard day today daddy" - said head in hands as she sat on the loo) and I have to go and do stories and the ritual (kiss, cuddle, massage, prayer and blessing) in a mo but I aim to come back and experience the evening flow of the thread for once!!!!!! At least until I have to flake out and hit my bed...

alittlebitshy · 25/06/2008 18:54

x post...

thanks

Buckets - are you a secret winner of masterchef? you just haven't told us!!

Sarah - the only thing i have done for this baby is buy her a hot pink sling. as yet she only has boys clothes and i have nothing for my hosp. bag.

Dizzy am also shattered today, my 2 have ben running me ragged and i didn;t manage to get down for a nap ithis afternoon but DH did let me lay in till 8 so i can't really complain

Got my consultants appt. tomorrow not sure what i want to hear. I think i'd like thme to say that because of S.P.D. and P.E. they'll induce at 36wks, i'd be shocked if they did, but one can still hope.

on a totally selfish point to i've jsut become an agent for some sling maunfacturers so if anyone wants to get them through me, that would be great....let me know and i'll post email addy.....cheers girlies

MOBY arrived!! MOBY arrived!!

Okay right off the bat I'm impressed. The fabric is a very heavy jersey so I'm wondering how could folks complain about stretching...unless they washed it alot which would tend to break down the fabric. I've wrapped myself correctly first time trying. It's a bit of messy with the bump in the way but I did go get one of DD's baby dolls to see if all worked properly. There's 8 different "holds" which are all basically the same "wrap" just with small adjustments here and there. I'm wearing it with a t-shirt on....inside the house I'm fine but this is probably too many layers for me outside right now. I am pregnant though so my temperature is running high...without the baby cooking I should be fine. And as an added bonus the instruction booklet has "MOBY exercises".

I'm very pleased AND I can get out of is without assistance!!

bealcain...just read your post...
What brand of slings are you selling?

OP posts:
alittlebitshy · 25/06/2008 19:24

yes bealcain what brand are you touting???

ooh twilight -how exciting. I am still having my internal row with myself about moby vs close. I like the look of both .

what time deso this thing normally start getting going big time?

Buckets · 25/06/2008 19:24

LOL, my cooking usually tastes ok but it always looks like a pile of vomit! I'm rubbish at the old presentation, mostly because I try to do everything in 1 pot/pan/bowl to avoid washing up.

alittlebitshy · 25/06/2008 19:30

One pot cooking - yay!

I'm struggling with washing up cos, being short, my bump is below way below the counter top and I just can't get close enough.....

cyteen · 25/06/2008 19:33

bealcain do let us know what you're selling, I'm pretty much settled on the Moby so would be happy to order it through you if that's a brand you're dealing with

I'm in the tired beyond tired corner with dizzy tonight - heartburn has been SO PAINFUL all day, just grim, and I feel utterly, utterly shattered. Can see myself turning in at 8pm tonight...rubbish.

alittlebitshy · 25/06/2008 19:36

.

I'm sure I wasn;t this tired last time..... even at 42 weeks.... Maybe it's all rose tinied glasses and all that

i think that's right. Mine is between the bottom of my throat and my chest, and I call it heartburn - but I may be wrong.

cyteen · 25/06/2008 19:50

That sounds about right. Normally I just (just!) get the burning acidy throat, but today I've had the spreading chest fire as well.

Suspiciously, the only thing that seems to quiet it down is chips

alittlebitshy · 25/06/2008 19:54

ah well - if they're medicinal.....

36 is 2weeks friday!!!

i'm doing close, calin bleu and rockin' baby at the moment. waiting for others to get back to me. And one company that sells lots of different sorts (i'm not allowed to mention name) but the moby is on there!

alittlebitshy · 25/06/2008 20:10

So if i went for close or moby you might be my woman (as it were).

Is the site L P? (small marsupials?)

bealcain · 25/06/2008 20:14

i would indeed ALBS.

no

TwilightSurfer · 25/06/2008 20:15

I think I'm overheated now. I just finished reading DD five library books on the porch. It's shaded but still VERY HOT!! Now back inside DD comes round the corner smiling holding A JAR OF PAINT!!! Did she not learn from yesterday!!!!!!! I should probably put myself on the naughty step before I do something I'll regret......

ALBS I'm with Sazzles on the perfect way to clean a dish. DD and I left our mac-n-cheese bowls out one night last week (she had left overs but I don't believe I did). Anyway, a nice raccoon licked both bowls (and spoons) clean for us.

VG I'm going to google you and see if you're name comes up ... print-wise. If you google mine you'll laugh. An American who now resides in the UK wrote a book and used MY FULL NAME (prior to marriage) for one of her characters. I emailed her publisher and she responded to me directly. It's not like my name is Jane Doe. She now tells groups about connecting with me.

Bealcain.....looks like you might make a few sales on here.

Where's Dizzy??

OP posts:
TwilightSurfer · 25/06/2008 20:17

Bealcain, here is where I purchased mine. She's just a five miles from my driveway but her whole business is only online (no shop).
