Right, that's it. I'm not hungry but have just eaten a plum and a nectarine in an attempt to stave off my mars bar craving..... it's no good. I have to have it...
PS - no, good choice. I'll swap my mars bar for your bounty.....

pregnancy1 · 01/07/2008 15:18

oooh - shortbread. Why does everyone else have a better stash of sweet-stuff than me?

ah knickers - i knew i forgot to ask something. Forgot to ask about the dropping thing. gaaah. sorry.

TwilightSurfer · 01/07/2008 15:57

ALBS, it's okay. I'm sure that's what is happening. I take a picture in a little bit to check and see if it's obvious. I have a appt on the 7th too....so I'll try to remember to ask. {{twilight makes mental note}}

Was just considering a coke float. Do you guys make those across the pond? It's just chocolate (or whatever flavor you like) icecream in a glass with coke poured over it...you use a straw and a spoon to enjoy it. YUM!!!

OP posts:
TwilightSurfer · 01/07/2008 16:06

Well as far as I can see there's no visible difference in how I look today. I guess the drop is internal first. Posted another pic anyway.

alittlebitshy · 01/07/2008 16:12

I haven't had a coke float in YEARS!! Used to have them as a treat in a cafe as a child. yummy!!!

Erm... ok I know everyone is entitled to their opinion, blah blah blah, but Sazzles wtf???? I would NEVER have swapped a KitKat for a Bounty.

TwilightSurfer · 01/07/2008 16:56

VG I think Sazzles was attempting to get a serving of fruit out of the deal. Didn't someone say coconut counted??

OP posts:
oopsacoconut · 01/07/2008 17:06

Okay - your chocolate thing is making me ILL - it is one of the things that makes me wretch at the sight of it (the other is snot or the word snot or anything to do with snot!) [wretch icon] but the Sainsbury's iced donuts with sprinkles on - only sainsbury's - morrisons sprinkles don't stay crunchy and it's the crunch whick is important.

Also - does using diet coke for a coke float still make it zero calories???

oopsacoconut · 01/07/2008 17:08

forgot to finish my sentence there ....mmmm going loopy

Sainsbury's donut are the best - I used to be able to eat 4 at a time but due to space restrictions can only manage 1 at a time!

VintageGardenia · 01/07/2008 17:14

Eeeuww your word nausea is not just confined to pregnancy, oops. I can't even TYPE that word even when I'm not pregnant.

Sorry about The Other Thing, my other craving is for plastic white toast spread with two ounces of butter and half a pot of Marmite. Any better??

TwilightSurfer · 01/07/2008 17:15

Oops a coke float has no calories...that's why they call it a "float".

OP posts:
Buckets · 01/07/2008 17:19

I've been thinking about M&S bitesized flapjack all day.
Forgot it's my niece's 8th birthday, what shall I get her? They are loaded and she has everything. Shall I get her something worthy, like a rescued donkey adoption, or something from M&S so I can go tonight and get flapjacks too?

oopsacoconut · 01/07/2008 17:23

Now VG you are speaking my language!!!!! buttery marmite plastic toast - mmmmmmm

Buckets - I would go worthy and stop at M&S for the card (and flapjacks)

CaptainCaveman · 01/07/2008 17:24

Hey guys, back from our day out playing (well actually I spent most of it sitting) - I did run at a couple of points!! WEather was and still is beautiful.

bealcain sending lots of prayers your way for both you and your dh.

Is it time we organised a 'buddy' for those who would like one? We can swap mobile numbers and then through the power of text we can stalk each other keep in touch when not able to get on mn (ie whilst in hospital in my case!). I'm happy to organise this for anyone who wants to join in? My email is captaincaveman92 at yahoo dot co dot uk (obv with spaces removed etc!). I already have dizzy's moby and she has mine....as a starter for 10

oopsacoconut · 01/07/2008 17:35

Cavey - just e-mail you

VintageGardenia · 01/07/2008 17:37

I am in Ireland so will be more expensive for anyone texting me but I am happy to be a buddy and spread the word. For myself come to think of it I have web access on my phone so unless in very dire straits should be able to do a post from hos.

Buckets I got my 8 yr old goddaughter a pair of Converse for her birthday, she was pretty happy with them and has worn them a lot. They were expensive but I knew she really wanted them and I don't shower her with gifts during the year, which I probably should, come to think of it!

I had been thinking of getting her a ladybird house with ladybird eggs and food, though, they had them in a garden centre near us but when her birthday came round there were none. If your niece has lots of stuff maybe a gardeny, outsidey thing would be nice?

VintageGardenia · 01/07/2008 17:38

my vintage gardenia @ gmail dot com

sans spaces

TwilightSurfer · 01/07/2008 17:46

Good idea Captain. I'll be web-enabled with both my laptop and DH's blackberry so I shouldn't have any probs posting amidst all the action. I'll have DH post if I'm out cold for some reason. You've got all my contact info just in case though.

Trying to get a little sun today since the weather's cooled down a bit. I haven't been able to bear full sun in weeks so this is nice.

ChaCha · 01/07/2008 17:55

VG - They gave me crutches from 35weeks onwards last year and they were useful when i was able to use them. Could not push DS1's pram and use the crutches so tended to only use them around house or when someone was with me. How are you finding them? My SPD is alright today, it seems to choose its moments this PG. Is yours pretty much constant?

at coke float. Home made strawberry milkshakes even better! Speaking of bounty bars (and how could you even consider swapping a kitkat for a Bounty - tut tut) I have these sachets of Bounty stuff that you stir into milk and add ice, is like a Bounty Drink - very tasty.

Phoned m/w who had iron test results am now 8 and have to see GP apparently in an attempt to try some other form of iron before they reassess and send me to day unit. Other than the pinto beans and spinach what else is there to boost the old iron?

Buckets - M&S and pick up flapjack!
CC - That's a nice idea. We did similar back in 2005 here on MN with our a/n group.

TwilightSurfer · 01/07/2008 18:04

PARIS - Angelina Jolie has gone into a hospital in the south of France where she expects to give birth to twins!! per AP ONLINE

She's obviously trying to beat BEALCAIN. Show Off!!

OP posts:
TwilightSurfer · 01/07/2008 18:07

ChaCha cooking all your food in a cast iron skillet works. Sounds loopy but works!! Then anything can be given an iron boost before you consume it.

OP posts:
Buckets · 01/07/2008 18:15

Thinking I'll be too tired to manage M&S as have pre-school committee meeting at 7pm. Oh well, it was going to be a day late anyway so I'll just have to go out tomorrow get her something shockingly empowering like Thorntons or Shakeaway gift vouchers instead. Do you see the way my mind's working?

Chacha - vitamin C with everything to help absorb the iron - orange juice, peppers, watercress I think.
