SusiS · 09/02/2005 13:40

very strange, either you all are sick in your beds and don't want to move about or you are at work with your boss standing behind you or you just don't have much to talk about.
shame really

Lexie100 · 09/02/2005 13:43

Actually painting the hall. Should be working from home but hay ho! Trying to get the house finished before the little one arrives. Problem is i'm now addicted to murder she wrote in the afternoon - so sad.

Lexie100 · 10/02/2005 10:12

Have a 20 month old dd and a 16 year old ds who was born on the 9th October so he might be sharing his birthday!! Have had a couple of m/c in past so it's still early days but I'm hoping everythings going to be ok this time. Don't feel sick but am very very tired. Glad everything went well for you Lexie100. Let's hope we have a nice cool summer this year

morningpaper · 10/02/2005 18:58

Congratulations BonnieJ!

I have just tried a few pregnancy due date websites and I think my due date should be 7 October.

How are you feeling?

SusiS · 10/02/2005 19:33

just wondering, if i knew actually the day when "it" happened, would i have to count from then???

and hello bonnie

ButtonMoon · 10/02/2005 21:25

Hello can I join please? Am just pregnant. Already have DD (2) Although don't really want to tempt fate but just so excited and need to tell people!!!

cori · 10/02/2005 21:27

Hi everybody, glad to see so many newcomers to the October thread. I am doing alright at the moment. I am getting a bit paranod though, I dont seem to have many pregnancy symptoms, very little morning sickness, boobs not sore any more, not much of anything really. What should I do? Would the GP just ignore my concerns, I dont even have an appointment with the midwife yet.

morningpaper · 11/02/2005 08:31

Hi Cori, it's difficult, you spend ages wanting to feel some signs and then when you start gagging at everything you wish you were dead. In the nicest possible way of course.

I'm not sure what the doctor would say, probably just to wait and see. You could try ringing and speaking to them though?

Hello Buttonmoon and congrats! When's your due date?

OP posts:
Lexie100 · 11/02/2005 10:30

I have no morning sickness what so ever, a little emotional as i keep wanting to cry at the silliest things? Anyone else have this. I'm also constantly hungry.

morningpaper · 11/02/2005 10:42

Blee I am constantly hungry AND have morning 'nausea' so I feel like I have to eat all the time even though it's the last thing I want to do.

I've read that you only need an extra 200 calories and that's after the first 14 weeks but that must be BOLLOCKS because I've FAMISHED and as soon as I eat anything it feels like it's digested in ten mintutes and I need MORE MORE MORE.

OP posts:
SusiS · 11/02/2005 11:38

yessss same here!!! i feel so full and nasea all he time but ohhhh sooo hungry too! but just thinking about food makes me feel sick again!

not the emotional thingy yet! but i am sure it will kick in sooner or later

bonniej · 11/02/2005 15:33

hi again, thanks for the welcome. I'm just tired, no sickness at all. It is hard when you want symptoms but at the same time don't. I know what you mean about feeling hungry and sick I i felt like that when pg with dd. It doesn't make any sense! I too feel like it's tempting fate a bit to tell people, but I never have been very good at keeping secrets and am so excited I want to shout it from the rooftops. Have any of you started thinking of names yet???

morningpaper · 11/02/2005 15:50

hehe not thought of names yet - will probably wait for the 21 week gender scan and then start thinking about it!

OP posts:
Lexie100 · 11/02/2005 16:30

Now there is a problem. I want to know the gender of the baby but DH doesn't. There is know way i could keep it from him. I'm not even sure if Kent will tell you, anyone know?

On another note. I went to the GP yesterday and as Down Syndrome is in both sides of the familiy and although not genetic they want me to go for a scan at kings. Anyone know anthing about these scans?

Lexie100 · 11/02/2005 16:34

no way, sorry. brain not functioning

ButtonMoon · 11/02/2005 17:06

A friend of mine went for a scan at around 11 weeks I think to check for abnormalities (she had very high risk afp test with DD1) She paid £200 I think.

ButtonMoon · 11/02/2005 17:11

Oops...meant to say I feel sick on and off, really tired, sore boobs and get upset easily Worrying already about childbirth as DD1 was on the large side.....and they say they get bigger!!!!! What was that little boy born in Brazil a while ago?????? 16lbs or something!!
