Congratulations Hush. It will start to sink in soon.
I dont feel quite as nervous as the firs time round. I am hoovering between telling everyone and no one.
My first has just turned 3. How old is yours?

Lexie100 · 12/02/2005 18:17

Hay congratulations Hushh.

I think i have eaten enough for a large army today and i'm still hungry.

Did my first Yoga class yesterday, thought i'd get into the spirit of things early. Work up this am and i'm aching all over. Is it really good for you!?

triceratops · 12/02/2005 18:48

Hello everyone - if all goes well my due date will be 19th Oct. I already have a ds who has just turned 3. I don't have any symptoms yet but I didn't get any until 8 weeks with ds. I feel wierd as ds was unplanned but we have been trying for a while to get pg with this one. Doing something soooooooo life changing on purpose is terrifying. I hope I havn't done something stupid. On the other hand I have been dancing around the house with a stupid grin on my face since I found out

Hushh, Cori, MP, Lex, Susi, JJ, Marinda, Bonnie and Button CONGRATULATIONS to you all and wishing us all a healthy and uneventful pregnancy.

RudyDudy · 12/02/2005 20:21

Congratulations triceratops and hushh and anyone else I haven't caught up with.

I haven't been around as I've had the lurgy this week and have had some really bad pains but went for an early scan today and all is well, so feeling much more relaxed. Apparently I am 5 weeks and my due date is 15th October. Feels so new!

morningpaper · 12/02/2005 21:05

Wow glad all is okay Rudy and that the scan was okay!

DH has cooked me loads of big meals today so I've been able to eat a lot which has made me feel much better and not so sick.

OP posts:
SusiS · 13/02/2005 09:26

lol trice, i like lists too
was about to do that!!

ohhh i'll be first! - well, not if it goes over again like the last one ... arggghhh don't want to think of that

rude: so glad that scan was allright! very good news

hey trice, how about a new list! where is everybody from? - i am from berkshire

bonniej · 13/02/2005 10:37

mine's the 8th, but that's just going by a pg calculator on the Babycentre website. Apart from feeling tired, I haven't really had any more symptoms so am a little bit concerned. Boobs are sore though. (Have had two m/c in past) Would feel a lot happier if I was feeling sick. Sometimes I think I should have waited before telling everyone, but I was too excited. Anyway am keeping fingers crossed. How's everyone else feeling today?

Lexie100 · 13/02/2005 11:09

I'm Kent.

Just very sore boobs. No sickness which in a way i really want as a sign but really don't want as it sounds horrid, if you know what i mean.

Also been doing loads of reading. DH asked if it could talk yet! I think he's very excited as it's our first.

SusiS · 13/02/2005 12:19

sure you are excited bonnie!!! i didn't tell anybody yet though, just want to wait for the 12 weeks to be over! also i am dying to tell someone

whoever is not sick trust me, you don't like to feel sick all the time

lexie: i bought every magazine i could get with my 1st pregnancy (ds is 9months now) - and loads of books too - so you are not alone there

RudyDudy · 13/02/2005 14:40

I'm SW London.

I know what the people who don't feel sick mean but really I would much rather it that way around. I'm feeling almost permanently nauseous which is pretty horrid and quite tired. We've told people in a low key way which is really nice but won't get too excited until this first trimester is over.

You've made me think Lexie, I can't remember what happens when at all - will have to dig out my pg books!

Hope everyone is having a lovely day

cori · 13/02/2005 18:57

Hi.
A correction my due date is the 3rd not the 10 th. Got dates mixed up by using an american website.
BonnieJ , I am with you. Not enough symptoms, ( have had one miscarriage) However didnt have a lot of MS with DS anyway, so maybe should think myself lucky.
DS 3rd birthday party today, found myself running around a soft play area most of the afternoon, am exhausted.

I am in NW London by the way, Harrow.

hushh · 13/02/2005 19:48

Thanks everyone & Congrats to you all. It's still sinking in. It's nice to know I'm part of a gang on here now ! My DS is 4 by the way

ButtonMoon · 13/02/2005 20:09

My due date is 19th Oct. Felt awful yesterday....very tired could barely bring myself to walk......better today but the nausea has begun on and off......boobs aren't as sore now though!!? Told a few people but it is a worrying time isn't it until the magic 12 week date?!

SusiS · 14/02/2005 07:46

7 weeks:

Your little one may only be slightly larger than your little fingernail but the budding genius is working on building brainpower. The three basic sections of the brain are laid down now. The 'forebrain' is responsible for things like reasoning, problem solving and memories; the 'midbrain' relays signals, while the 'hindbrain' takes care of breathing, heart rate and muscle movement. Physically, arms and legs have sprouted too, though at the moment they look more like paddles.

Lexie100 · 14/02/2005 08:20

Work up this morning with a horrid cold. Felt it coming on yesterday but wasn't too bad. I really don't want to take anything but if i have to is paracetamol ok?

SusiS · 14/02/2005 08:22

oh nooo lexie, poor you! yes, paracetemol is ok. - i am fighting a bad cough, not sure what to do about that though. - hope your cold is getting better soon

triceratops · 14/02/2005 09:49

Sorry to hear about your cold Lexie, it is the last thing you need. I have got mouth ulcers which I had all through my last pregnancy but had forgotten about. They are a pain.

I don't take anything when pregnant, not even paracetemol (although I admit to being unable to give up tea, I am not even trying this time round, and one glass of wine per week). My mum took Thalidomide when she was pg with my brother but luckily it didn't affect him.

Glad your scan was OK Rudy. I had an 8 week scan last time after a bleed and I remember falling in love with the little fluttering heart beat. It was the most amazing feeling. I am ignoring him now to type on the pc .

amended list

Susi 3rd - Berkshire
Cori 3rd - Harrow
Marinda 3rd
JosieJo 5th
Morningpaper 7th
Bonniej 8th
Lexie100 10th,
RudyDudy 15th
ButtonMoon 19th
Triceratops 19th - Harrogate - ds age 3
Hushh 20th

Lexie100 · 14/02/2005 10:26

Triceratops, i'm Keston - Kent.

Haven't taken any paracetamol yet. Gone off tea and coffee completely. Infact the only thing i like is cranberry and raspberry juice.

SusiS · 14/02/2005 10:48

yes, so many things i can't have right now! -

oh trice, something to add to your list
i got a ds age 9 months

bonniej · 14/02/2005 11:27

Glad to hear everyones okay. Sorry about your cold too Lexie. Still relatively symptom free but will stop worrying. Roll on week 12 I've got my driving test tomorrow so am sooo nervous. Was going to take a handful of Kalms beforehand but I suppose that's out of the question now!! It's more important than ever that I pass with a 20 month old and a new baby on the way. I haven't been to the doctors yet as I know nothing will happen. Has anyone got their midwife appointment yet? I remember with dd as soon as I found out I rushed to the doctors and announced I was pregnant and so dissappointed that nothing happened. I think I was expecting a fanfare or something but he didn't even do a test! Taking it a liitle bit more casually this time. Anyway hope everyone who has got morning sickness isn't feeling too bad xx

ButtonMoon · 14/02/2005 13:55

ooo...that's a thought....docs and mw....when will everyone got appts?

morningpaper · 14/02/2005 14:02

I'll go to the docs around week 8 I think.

I've put on THREE POUNDS!!!! I'm so pissed off. I'm barely eating anything. My trousers are tight around my belly - is this just FAT or are my stomach muscles so knackered that my uterus is flopping out already? I'm not even 7 weeks yet!

OP posts:
SusiS · 14/02/2005 14:51

i feel the same; trousers are getting tight already

my app with docs is 24th

don't even know which hospital yet; we moved here not too long ago!
