allright then, guess i am joining too! done a test today (although the signs were all there and i sort of knew it anyways) and it came up positive! sometime around 3rd october me thinks - and oh yes, deffintily it has started already - memory problems
oh, and it will be d2! have a ds of 9 months (today) already - bit scary!!

RudyDudy · 07/02/2005 19:14

Can't believe there's already an October thread! I'm going to tentatively but excitedly join in too please! Tested on Saturday (and done 3 tests since ) but still in shock and it hasn't really sunk in. Have a really long and irregular cycle (last one was 42 days) so no idea when I'm due and the calculators range from 30th Sep to 15 Oct. DS will be 2 on 17 Octotber - so he may be having a present like yours morningpaper!

Anyway, congratulations to us all .

SusiS · 07/02/2005 19:17

i know what you mean - not sunk in yet!!!
i might do a test again too - but had only 1 so far

well, i do know when it happened though

cori · 07/02/2005 19:42

COngratulations to both of you. Welcome to the October thread. Despite having known for two weeks I dont believe it totally myself. Apart from a couple of early symptoms, I dont really feel pregnant at all.

SusiS · 07/02/2005 19:47

thanks cori, and congrats back at you!
yes you are right, doesn't feel THAT pregnant yet. although i knew before i took the test that something's up. bit sick in the mornings and getting quite exhausted alreay - forgot about all this

SusiS · 07/02/2005 19:48

thanks cori, and congrats back at you!

CONGRATULATIONS RUDYDUDY!!! I'm so chuffed for you!!

And Congrats to SusiS too!

Yes I've known for a couple of weeks and it feels like an eternity but it's not sunk in yet - to be honest with my first pregnancy it didn't really sink in until I gave birth.

Today I've been feeling as sick as a dog though and I've been eating loads of Strawberry Muller Corners - I've not eaten them for about 10 years, they'd normally turn my stomach.

OP posts:
SusiS · 07/02/2005 20:12

yes, i actually just thought about that! i have to start eating healthier!
more dairy (am not good with that), more fruits and no baileys sniff

Lexie100 · 08/02/2005 08:03

ohh lodas more people . Just starting to get a sicky feeling after i have eaten! My boobs are also killing me, when do they stop growing as i'm going to need a new bra very soon. I also read something about not wearing underwired, why?

SusiS · 08/02/2005 08:25

morning! i didn't use underwired ones because they are so uncomfy! you'll find out - i never was sick with my 1st one, but this time i am sick first thing in the morning. well, not majorly sick, but enough to be uncomfortable!

Joseyjo · 08/02/2005 12:46

Lexie100 - so glad to hear everything is ok, was thinking of you over the weekend.

Has anyone else had strange stressing symptoms? I feel like I can't control my heart beat am very very nervous and feel nervous sick. It normally happens at night and means I can't sleep. Please tell me i am normal!!! It happened last time but went away after a few days. Is it just the heightened "fight or flight" reflex?
Was enjoying not having any symptoms - now have sore boobs and tender nipples and strange nervous thing!!!!

morningpaper · 08/02/2005 12:50

Hey Josey about five minutes before I read your post I thought I was having a heart attack. I guess it's all the crazy hormones plus all the stress on your body.

Or maybe we ARE having heart attacks!

OP posts:
Joseyjo · 08/02/2005 12:54

thanks morningpaper!! you just made me laugh out loud in the middle of the office!!!
i am going to the doctors tomorrow anyway so I might mention it. i will let you know if they rush me to hospital instead of just telling me to breathe deeply and "try not to worry"!!!

Lexie100 · 08/02/2005 13:01

I can empathise with the nipple thing joseyjo. I just have these panic attacks, I'M HAVING A BABY . I have no idea what to do with babies. Is there a list somewhere which tells us what we will need? Any one got ideas on a good book to read?

I'm sooooo nervous.

SusiS · 08/02/2005 13:08

i get it too that nervous feeling; but i guess it's more like lexie describes "omg, i am getting a baby"-feeling! it does keep me awake though because i think about what i will have to arrange and buy and do ....
no sore boobs yet though! - but very tired!!!
so, what area do you all live?
i am in berks

morningpaper · 08/02/2005 13:10

I'm in the south-west!

My boobies are hurting at NIGHT.

I keep waking up at 3am thinking OMG I'VE GOT GIVE BIRTH AGAIN!

Lexie, you'll be fine, there's not much to know, just keep 'em clean for the first few weeks...

OP posts:
SusiS · 08/02/2005 13:14

so who all is a first timer?? it's my 2nd - ds is 9 months! - maybe that's why my boobs don't hurt just yet; still sort of big

SusiS · 08/02/2005 13:17

yes morningpaper, same thoughts here. bit scared though because 1st birth was not that easy and i ended up with an e-c.section; so have still to figure out what to do with this one!

Joseyjo · 08/02/2005 15:02

i can join this one - i am totally terrified. last time it all went wrong and i had to have an emergancy c-section under general with no idea what was going on. also know i have to have nasty tests this time and will probably have to have another c-section because they cut through thick uterus last time. arghhhh!!! how am I supposed to remain calm? am going to have the most stressed out baby ever. also have just counted (bad and naughty i know...) and have at least another 34 weeks to stress. NOT GOOD. will have ulcers by then....

SusiS · 08/02/2005 15:12

naww josey, won't be that bad the 2nd time! i heard many even had a natural birth after 1st time c.section! - so wouldn't worry just yet!
if necessary you might ask for an arranged one with looooooots of drugs

spots · 08/02/2005 15:17

hee hee susi, rumbled! Congrats to all of you too...

SusiS · 08/02/2005 15:24

spots - are you joining us????? ()

morningpaper · 08/02/2005 18:37

My second - dd will be 3 when no. 2 arrives.

My first was awful too - 27 hours - had an epidural after 18 hours but it paralysed me without taking away the pain - so I had another 9 hours of hysteria. I'm hoping this one will just sliiiiiiide out...
