I have only been away from the pc for a couple of days and it has taken me ages to catch up.

So sorry to hear about your loss Hush

Welcome and congratulations all new posters.

DS is going to grannys this afternoon so I can have a snooze. I was fancying a trip to the turkish baths but I can't while I am pregnant. Shame really as is is especially nice when it is cold outside.

Never mind - maybe I will have one of these rude dreams. Last night I dreamt I was a stunt man in a western. I have no idea where that one came from

Fastasleep · 02/03/2005 11:26

Darn it why can't I have these cool dreams?! I'm still baking away in my sleep and I think it's unfair! DH caught me mumbling '4 ounces of........6 ounces of........no you need a whisk...a WHISK...' in my sleep!

Fastasleep · 02/03/2005 11:27

(this thread's getting very long, do you think it's time for a new one soon?)

hamster · 02/03/2005 12:59

Hey fastasleep..found this thread at last! I am due 31 October!

mishmash2 · 02/03/2005 13:05

Hi to you all. I thought I would join in too as it is so nice to hear that you are all going through the same as me! I thought I was the only one that couldn't fit into my clothes! Help! Am so excited though and can't wait for the 12 week scan so it is all official and out in the open. I'm due on 5th Oct so one of the first in this group! I had heavy bleeding at 7 weeks so was pretty scared but had a scan and saw the heartbeat which was amazing. Fingers, toes etc are now all crossed to get through the remaining 31 weeks!

Fastasleep · 02/03/2005 13:06

Yay to Hamster finding us and congrats to mishmash sending you good luck vibes for the 31 weeks to go!

hamster · 02/03/2005 13:23

I'm so glad they do early scans now(12 weeks) last time I had to wait until 20 weeks to know my precise due date. Plus it puts your mind at rest!I lost my first,so knowing everything is ok earlier on will be great, wish it could be sooner though!!!

triceratops · 02/03/2005 13:38

OK ladies - fess up

Who has been buying things already?

I have just spent a happy hour on ebay buying lots of exciting baby things. If my dh finds out he will have a fit because he thinks it is tempting fate. I call it being positive. Besides shopping is good for my nausea.

bonniej · 02/03/2005 14:00

Hushh, really sorry to hear your news . As everyone has said you def have the right attitude and here's wishing you lots of luck for the future xx.

I haven't posted for a while as have just been filling my days being sick, sick, sick. I never thought it was possible to feel this bad and still be alive. This is from someone who initially had no symptoms at all. I have spent all weekend on the sofa and haven't been able to keep anything down. Poor dh has done all the housework and most of the childcare but is back to work now. I've had to go to the doctors who has prescribed some tablets that seem to be helping but still feel pretty bad. Anyway I shouldn't complain as I know it's supposed to be good to have strong symptoms so I'm consolling myself with that. I've got a driving test on Friday and a big family wedding on Saturday so really hope I feel better before then. Am also finding it a bit of a strain dealing with a 20 month old and being tired all the time. I feel she's missing out as haven't been able to do as much with her as I usually do. Got a huge pile of ironing to tackle as the smell of the fabric softner coming off the ironing makes me feel sick! I've also found that all the foods I loved when I got pregnant I can't stomach now. I am craving bland carbs like bread and chips. I'm going to be as big as a house! Anyway hope everyone else is well

triceratops · 02/03/2005 14:42

Oh bonnie I am with you on the fabric softener. Same with the smell of toothpaste and our bloo loo. yuck.

morningpaper · 02/03/2005 18:02

bonnie so sorry. Today I was actually sick for the first time! I felt like I could handle things when I knew I wasn't going to be sick. Now I feel scared to leave the house - what do you do, carry a BOWL around? groan I just want to spend the next few weeks in bed.

Fastasleep · 02/03/2005 18:18

Bonnie that sounds like my first preg, I actually had hyperemis gravidarum hyperemis link if it works lol... so I'm really waiting for it to come back this time as it does re-occur... barely kept anything down today for the first time! I hope the tablets help you lots!

Morningpaper this sounds skanky but I would suggest keeping a stash of nappy sacks in your pocket for if the time comes, last preg I found this helpful (after embarrassingly puking in gutters loads!)

Fastasleep · 02/03/2005 18:18

hyperemesis* even I alays type that wrong!

Piggiesmum · 02/03/2005 21:33

Hi again all.

i have to say these message boards are a godsend. It's such a relief to read how all the aches and pains and twinges I've been having are normal. Phewwee. Had a bit of spotting yesterday but it was brown and seems to have stopped now. Was most relieveed to read that that is fairly common too.

Anyway I've just spent ages reading the whole thread to catch up with you all and have to say I am most relieved to discover I am not the only one waking up feeling very and quilty after having rather rudey dreams. Oooerr missus!

The tiredness is starting to kick in now and it's getting to me at work. Fortunately?? I've been off ill with a cold so when people keep saying to me "You look pale are you okay" I can still blame it on the cold lingering. I'm just praying the morning sickness doesn't kick in too badly or I'm in trouble. I already feel nauseous now and then and trying to be healthy and eat fruit but that makes it worse.

Fastasleep · 03/03/2005 08:21

wah this morning sickness is not fair! Lol I'm sat here with a bucket! DS has a dirty nappy and I don't dare breathe near him and ooooh typing that has just made my stomach cramp up again........ waaah

mummygow · 03/03/2005 08:24

Hi everyone can I join you? BFP last Satrday and went to doctors on Monday so due date 27/10/05 this is baby #2, dd1 is 2.8 so will be 3.3 when baby arrives.

Cant beleive so many people here!!

I have had terrible flu this week and cant take anything for it, feel like crap and dont know wether it is just the flu or that I am about 6 weeks and starting to feel nausiouse.

Fastasleep · 03/03/2005 08:27

Welcome and congrats MG! I'll shush before I'm sick on you but

mummygow · 03/03/2005 08:32

Thanks fastasleep how far on are you and what age is your ds - sorry you are feeling so crap but if it is any comfort I keep coughing and peeing myself, really need to get those pelvic floor exercises going

Fastasleep · 03/03/2005 08:34

The one thing I haven't done yet is pee myself! I'll have done everything crap to do with early pregnancy when I've done that one lol...

My DS is 1 (just gone), I'm 7 weeks pregnant, due on the 22nd (although sure that's wrong really lol) DS will be 20 months old when I pop

mummygow · 03/03/2005 08:47

Sorry had to run upstairs as really did pee myself so running a bath. Fastasleep do you think your dates are wrong.

this thread is getting quite long now

i am going to open a new one!!!!!

mishmash2 · 03/03/2005 10:58

I've now started wearing skirts - feels much better - only drawback is my jumpers are all quite short and seem to highlight my bulging stomach.... but have now told people at work which is nice so don't have to hide it! I want one of those dreams - am getting very jealous!

montaguemonkey · 03/03/2005 20:35

Hello all and congrats to new arrivals.

Was feeling really nauseaus all day and tired but reading the threads make me feel not too bad as not being sick, so luckier than some!

Also very glad that I am not the only one who did not give enough attention to their pelvic floor muscles after the first pg and are now facing the consequences!!

I must admit I have been prowling ebay, etc for baby things - in particular a sling as borrowed one last time (karri-me - v.good) so any recommendations appreciated!

Oh yes, and cures for constant nausea!!

By the way - I am new to this, if you start a new thread how will I know!!
