littleboyblue · 01/07/2008 18:05

Oh, I see. Thanx for that. That has been bothering me for a while.

McDreamy · 01/07/2008 18:05

Oh brilliant so glad the scan went well

littleboyblue · 01/07/2008 18:07

Thanx. Obviously pregnancy with ds was the longest, but this is the longest with one that finished early IYSWIM so good feelings about it now. I'm going to love it and get attached and look forward to going through iut all again and not concentrate on the what if's anymore. I hope

oooggs · 01/07/2008 19:04

welcome newbies

markstretch & pinktulips - yes I was fed up at the end, could hardly walk or breathe and begged for induction but they wouldn't touch me till I was 38 weeks on the dot

Delivered them naturally and have been exhausted ever since

jenniferturkington · 01/07/2008 19:12

hi all, I have not posted for ages but have been lurking! I think I am 8 weeks, and so far (keeps everything crossed) I've not been sick! With first DC I was sick constantly, so this 'evening nausea' is fine!
Re Slimming world, I might go- I'm not over weight now but last time piled on 5 stone, and that was with 17 weeks of vomming!
Sounds like early scans are a mixed blessing, causing reassurance and worry in equal measure. I am waiting for a date to come through hopefully for next week, my DC was growth restricted in the womb and it wasn't picked up so they are being cautious this time.
Any cravings? I'm loving those scary looking blue slush puppies

oooggs · 01/07/2008 19:21

oh jen I could just have one of those [yum]

laidbackinengland · 01/07/2008 19:40

Evening. I have worked today and am tired. I am finding I have an hour of feeling sick in the morning and then about 2 hours of feeling tired and sick in the afternoon. I am going to try and stop working at the beginning of November I think.

Just got my scan appointment through for 23rd of July - and will be just over 13 weeks then.

Slush puppies - I just couldn't right now. I am desperate for something and custard .

Neeerly3 · 01/07/2008 20:00

i desp for ideas that don't make me feel sick....dh is away and he cooks so i don't have to think about food, I just eat whats given and that way i don't have time to feel ill......but when he's not here i have to plan, buy, cook and then eat....so far got to plan stage and drawn a blank.

I could get pizza?

jenniferturkington · 01/07/2008 20:21

I know what you mean, DH is away at the moment and I'm living off toast and fruit (and slush puppies) , it takes all of my resolve to prepare DS's dinner, poor mite is getting used to cold options on the veggie front as I can't face the smell of cooking green veg. Or carrots strangely! Good job he is partial to a tomato!

jenniferturkington · 01/07/2008 20:22

bleugh to pizza I'm afraid. I've developed major cheese aversion!

littleboyblue · 01/07/2008 20:33

I've just realised something.
I posted I think yesterday about how sick I have been feeling. I said it started after lunch and carries on all day and was advised to eat in the morning.
Well, had toast and choc for breakfast as normal, then got on with stuff, but didn't have any lunch and I haven't felt sick. So gonna try big breakfast and an early dinner but no lunch. For a few days anyway

Neeerly3 · 01/07/2008 20:36

sparkling spring water is really helping settle my stomach enough to eat - gonna pop to tesco and buy some of their own brand and stock up.

MarkStretch · 01/07/2008 20:42

Am loving sparkling water here too.

Have had a splitting headache all day and fell asleep halfway through dd's bedtime story, felt bad. She said 'don't worry mummy, I know you're feeling very tired' and stroked my head in a loving way.

Going to bed in a bit as feeling wiped out.

rosieposey · 01/07/2008 21:46

Ah thats great news about your scan LBB nice one - Jenniferturkington i am definately going to do slimming world i think as im worried about putting on loads again as im already quite a big girl - tried on my wedding dress today ( i bought it a couple of months ago before i knew i was enceinte) and its way too tight across the boobage there is no way its going to fit me for the big day in Novemeber and trying to find a plus size maternity gown is going to be nigh on impossible i think - ah well time to look at the american sites on t'internet methinks

LuLuBai · 01/07/2008 21:51

uuuuuuuuuurgh - for any of you suffering from bad smells - don't try this one. I just slathered myself in fake tan (despairing that after 2 days of so called heat wave I am still only pale biscuit colour and would like to look a bit glamorous when DH gets back home for wedding anniversary tomorrow).

The stench is awful and I can't get away from myself. What was I thinking!?

oooggs · 02/07/2008 08:05

morning

blimey dt1 was up most of last night and we are knackered - all I need - the little bugger darling

acupuncture at 9.45am - hope it works - so does my bank balance

McDreamy · 02/07/2008 08:15

Morning ladies! Another morning accompanyed with MS , goes with the territory I guess.

DH back in the UK until Friday! So no one to shower me with sympathy

I am supposed to still be on SW. I was slimmer of the week last week, first time ever (MS helped a bit). Have put loads on this week though can feel my clothes getting a little tight! Nobody knows there yet, not sure how much longer I can keep this a secret, I'm bursting inside

Jelliebaby · 02/07/2008 08:34

Let me know if your acupunture works oooggs and if you dont mind me asking how much it costs? Im seriously considering it as im off on hols in 3 weeks and my MS is so bad i'm not looking forward to it and scared i will spoil the whole holiday for DP and DD

Neeerly3 · 02/07/2008 10:50

good news - MS has subsided a bit today - but I put 3lbs on from last week! Thats 5lbs in total from when I found out, so 3 weeks. A select few people know at work, but it's getting harder and harder to hide it - god knows how big I'll be when i go on hols in 4 weeks!

Ooooggs how did acupuncture go?

Nellstar · 02/07/2008 11:39

Hello all, after early threatened m/c I came off this thread and have just been for a second scan and oh my goodness it's identical twins...feeling truly freaked out. Very high m/c risk apparently so I may not keep on this thread much, added to the fact that my due date comes forward to Jan now with an inevitable c-section etc. No lovely home birth sadly like I had with DS1. Am truly freaked out, at the possibility of losing them, and secondly at the whole thing. Hope you are all doing well and I'm sorry for those for whom it hasn't worked out and I hope it goes better next time.

MarkStretch · 02/07/2008 11:55

Oh my god Nellstar that is fantastic news!

Congratulations although I understand it is a lot to take in!

PinkTulips · 02/07/2008 11:57

o my goodness nellstar

congratulations! please stay positive, things might go just fine and then you'll have 2 identical little darlings to cuddle!

oogs and neerly can direct you to the multiples thread, they love having pregnant girls there and there will be other moms of identicals to give you advice and support.

even if you switch threads please keep us informed

Nellstar · 02/07/2008 12:00

Thanks MarkStretch and pinktulips. Nice to hear positive words in the middle of my shock. Will head to the multiples thread but keep you informed. Good luck everyone.

Singingintherain · 02/07/2008 12:04

Hi all.

Not been on for the last couple of weeks. I have had loads of problems with dates and size and weather or not everythign is going ok.

I had an emergency scan at 6 weeks and was told it was the size of 4 - 5 weeks, then a few days later I had my regular scan and was told it was not looking good as it had not grown at all, but I was to go back after two weeks.

I did not manage to wait two weeks before I started bleeding, so I knew it was over before having to go through the ordeal of a scan. I had to go to the emergency department in the city and when I got there they said everything was fine and that I should just rest. I was not given any dates for size but I definately saw a heartbeat. I nearly collapsed with shock as I was sure that it was over.

I have been in bed since Thursday, but had my normal regular scan last night and there is still a heartbeat, but I have a haematoma on the placenta, which was why I was bleeding. They told me that it could go away on its own, but I have to be so careful as it could lead to a miscarriage. It is only small, but I am so worried. I am not allowed to do anything for the next four weeks, so I am unable to travel to England to see my family and stock up on goodies.

My DH has now got to finish work early each day to give me a hand. I feel so lazy, but I know it is in my best interest. He has offered to get me a cleaner to help a little as he has to work long hours. I don't like the idea and it is very expensive.

So I am just hanging on here and hope everyone is ok. I have been looking forward to coming back with positive news, so here I am trying to get on with it, taking each day as it comes.

Good luck everyone tc

Singingintherain · 02/07/2008 12:07

Sorry, Nellstar. I was reading your posts earlier in the month. Congratulations to you.
