McDreamy · 29/06/2008 14:31

I'm feeling bleurrgghhh!

onwardandupward · 29/06/2008 16:58

Weeping at any provocation (or none) here too.

And nausea eurgh.

I'm 8 weeks now and there is absolutely no doubt - I'm feeling movement very occasionally (2nd time, so I'm remember the sensation from last time). It's not like bubbles. It is like a very small fish flapping against my skin from the inside. Lizards, fish - an exciting set of offspring we fab febbers are planning!

[I'm on the list as Hopingforasecond but I am done with namechanging]

MarkStretch · 29/06/2008 17:23

We went for a long walk around the woods and I feel better now although absolutely exhausted. Dh is making us a roast dinner, yum!

Incubating a reptile- ha! My dreams have been very freaky. Last night I dreamt I was ironing outside my front door as we had run out of room inside our house! I think I may be slightly anxious about fitting the little one in our box room.

Had sad phonecall from my mum- my cousin who is due the week after me is having a very bad time with her husband. I think she might leave and she is very sad and confused. I think she feels another baby would make the whole situation worse as he was a shit to her during her first pregnancy. Poor thing

LittleSarah · 29/06/2008 17:59

Well still sick and tired.

However also seem to be losing weight. I'm not eating loads due to sickness but not skipping meals or anything. Was about 9st 5 last week, now about 9st 2. Is this a huge problem or not a big deal??

Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

herbgarden · 29/06/2008 18:09

LittleSarah my mum mentioned to me last week that she only put on 6lbs during her pregnancy with my brother as she had such awful nausea so couldn't eat - it was then the same with me and my sis - and we are all fine... If you do get really thin or are worried though would be worth a trip to the GP and they can advise you ??....I am feeling nauseous but keep nibbling at carbs to alleviate (nausea/hunger) but am concerned that I'll be the size of a house by the end of it !!....

Guitargirl · 29/06/2008 20:39

Hi everyone, have been keeping up to date with the thread but haven't posted in a while as have been SO knackered. Am just about doing the minimum at work / around the house before collapsing into bed the same time as DD.

I told my parents last weekend and a couple of friends have guessed as my not drinking is a sure sign in my case.

I have booking in with the midwife this week, she might be a bit surprised when I tell her I'll only be 9 weeks as someone offered me their seat on the bus the other day and a woman in the park asked me when I'm due .

dinkystinky · 29/06/2008 20:53

I is any consolation Littleboyblue and Herbgarden I got asked when the baby was due by a very nice and well meaning lady who I'd met a couple of times on the day I actually found out I was pregnant with no2! Was wearing a tunic dress and my belly wasnt even bulging at all (honest) but left me feeling part miffed/part spooked ... Oh how I laughed (after I'd binned the tunic dress of course) ...

littleboyblue · 29/06/2008 21:14

People are just so rude aren't they herbgarden. Tinksmum, I won't mind showing after scan on tues when we see that the hearts started beating and its ok. I'm very worried. I'm still trying to distance myself a bit until risks of m/c drop, IYKWIM.

TinkerbellesMum · 29/06/2008 21:48

I don't buy into there being a safe point in pregnancy. I make sure people know from the start so I have a support network already and I don't hide it because I don't feel I'm ever safe.

My CMW said to me the other day that people ask when they can go shopping, she said "when the baby is here"!

littleboyblue · 29/06/2008 21:54

I completely agree about the support network, and I've told nearly everyone, and of course anything can happen at any time so not 100% safe. I mentioned before that I m/c 7/8 weeks ago which was the third time so am just a bit wary I suppose.

TinkerbellesMum · 29/06/2008 22:03

I know what you mean. I mc'd at 8 weeks, next time was difficult "get to 8 weeks, I'll be fine" "get past 12 weeks I can breathe" then went into labour at 20 weeks. Next time, whole pregnancy was totally numb. I didn't believe I was going to have a baby at the end, not until I held it. To then have a GA really screwed with my head!

Now, feeling totally normal (apart from my back is playing up already) I can't accept that I am pregnant. I guess it will be better when I start having regular scans and seeing the baby all the time, but maybe I'll just have to wait till the baby is born.

littleboyblue · 29/06/2008 22:07

Gosh. The whole thing is just so scary. I suppose in a way I'm quite lucky that I haven't been through anything like you have had to.
Hope everyhting goes well for you. A friend of mine had her 1st ds at 29wks and the 2nd at 25 wks. Sadly the 2nd didn't survive. I think of her sometimes and it gives me a mental slap in the face and tells me to get a grip, you know?

TinkerbellesMum · 29/06/2008 22:37

I know, but it's still losing a loved life how ever old they are. If we start putting a value on life where does it stop? My SIL lost a baby at 6 weeks, my aunt died at 30 years. Is Grandma's loss more than my SIL and her's more than mine? We all grieve for what we had or should have had.

TinkerbellesMum · 29/06/2008 23:35

lol if I'm not at the top it's the wrong list!

I'm getting very confused by it because I keep seeing posts on the "threads I'm on" preview where I'm the first thing someone says and I have to look along to check they're not talking to me.

littleboyblue · 30/06/2008 04:31

Oh, haha tink about the top of the list.
I still think of them on what would have been the due dates and wonder what they'd be like.
But if the first 2 had gone all the way, I wouldn't have ds now, that makes it all so much easier.

MarkStretch · 30/06/2008 07:39

Morning! There is now a due March 09 list - woo! We are not the last ones anymore!

Lets see if theirs gets as big as ours....

littleboyblue · 30/06/2008 07:53

Oh. Bye then Markstretch. Goodluck with it all and make sure you let us all know when your lo arrives. Take care. X

WarmFuzzy · 30/06/2008 07:56

Markstretch isn't flouncing off to March - she's having her little reptile on Feb 9th!

littleboyblue · 30/06/2008 07:58

Oh. Miss read that. Having an idiot moment. Sorry!

MarkStretch · 30/06/2008 08:03

I'm still here! Just means there is now a list of people less pregnant than us, and that makes me feel more pregnant (with a lizard).

I am weraing stretchy trousers today. I can't bear anything on my stomach at the moment.

littleboyblue · 30/06/2008 08:11

Yes, I've just seen it. Mad isn't it? Don't mind me, I'm having one of those days already and have just got myself into a little row on here if the other person replies. I'm so angry.

WarmFuzzy · 30/06/2008 08:23

Don't let the hormones rule your life littleboyblue (easier said than done). Breathe, relax, big pinch of salt.

I'm wearing big, stretchy pants today too and wondering whether I'm 6, 7 or more weeks.

littleboyblue · 30/06/2008 08:26

It's not hormones, honest. It's one of those breast v formula thing and this person has decided it's her pklace to say something quite mean about my choice not to b/f. It just makes me angry as sites like this are supossed to give us support and I think if you can't say anything nice or supportive then you should just n ot say anything at all.
