I've been feeling really sick today. I've never had morning sickness before, it better not be that, can't have that! Hoping it was the chicken I cooked yesterday!

Neeerly3 · 27/06/2008 14:10

me too little - feel properly bleurgh and my colleague said my tum was rather prominant today.

herbgarden · 27/06/2008 14:11

Anyone watch "Tribal Wives" the other night? Almost chundered when they threw that monkey on the fire for eating..oh it was disgusting. Cooked ds some salmon at lunchtime (don't laugh - he loves it !) and the waft of it coming out the micro set me off.....this is horrid and didn't have it quite as bad with ds.....I am still in permanent hangover mode.

5 days til my scan - I'm Wed 2nd July for dating scan.

McDreamy · 27/06/2008 14:32

Oh I know Swindon very well (I did my nurse training in Swindon before the Great Western was built though) I am in Cyprus but coming home to Calne (about 18 miles away from Swindon) for a month on 18th July.

Good luck with your scan

MarkStretch · 27/06/2008 14:34

DH is putting up shelves. I am considering emigrating until it is done.

I am even going to pick dd up from school and brave ASDA on a Friday afternoon to avoid the tension. (DIY is not his strong point)

I must be mad.

Jelliebaby · 27/06/2008 14:35

Littleboyblue - I was hoping my sickness was a virus but nope it's MS, Ive had it for 2 wks tomorrow non stop and there's no sign of it going, its getting me so down, i've not left the house and im spending every day in bed.
Luckily DP is being v.helpful with DD but i feel so sorry for her being stuck in with me, I can't even take her the park.
Is there a due March thread yet? I will feel a bit more pregnant when there is? Does that sound weird?

LittleSarah · 27/06/2008 14:37

Today not good.

Honestly all I ever do is moan. And not just on here! I feel poor df must be so fed up with me; sick, tired, sick, tired, ad nauseum.

Now it's worse as did something to my back yesterday, think I've pulled something, so in a lot of pain there too. Moan, moan, moan.

If I was a horse they'd have put me down.

McDreamy · 27/06/2008 14:41

I feel like a moaning Minnie too! Just feel bleurgh about everything, sick, tired, crampy, crabby, miserable - I am so much fun to be around

MarkStretch · 27/06/2008 14:43

Can I ask a question?

Seeing midwife on 11th July, I will be 10/11 weeks ish?

Will she then get me scan date? Or should a letter have come from the hospital?

Nothing yet....

LittleSarah · 27/06/2008 14:45

Lol, don't ask me! My midwives have only just found out - thanks to me - I'm pregnant. I think I'm just getting a booking appointment and will see midwife then, hopefully in 4 weeks or so.

I'd give them a call to find out what's happening.

McDreamy - glad I'm not alone!

Neeerly3 · 27/06/2008 14:47

Mark, your midwife will sort scan out after your booking in apt I'm that you get to see your midwife on 11th, mines on 23rd!

rosieposey · 27/06/2008 14:48

Thanks Dreamy - Im trying not to get too excited as i said as i know i wont see much but it will be good to know that the spotting is nothing sinister because in my last pregnancy i started spotting around this time and they could clearly see bleeding internally around the sac but i had to wait till 11 weeks to miscarry :-( Still have raging pregnancy symptoms though - no sickness yet, was lucky in my other three as well with the old sickness thing - sorry to hear others are suffering with queasyness though :-( Im just permanently knackered - lol Little Sarah - dont worry i moan about being tired, achey boobs ect ect ( and thats without being sick ) but am glad as its all a good sign that everything is going as it should be :-) Have found this site really good for making me feel better and less worried about stuff so thought id better start contributing too :-)

MarkStretch · 27/06/2008 14:58

Really? the 11th of July seems miles and miles away! Hurry up!

littleboyblue · 27/06/2008 15:23

I'm seeing midwife on 9th, I'll be about 9/10 wks.
Last time I had received my scan appointment long before I saw m/w. Strange how it's so different!
I don't feel sick anymore, it lasted about 2 hours. I'll know if it's m/sickness if it comes tomoz.

supersteph · 27/06/2008 15:57

Hello all! I had my scan yesterday and the baby has a strong heart beat. I am 8weeks 4 days today going off the scan but they still said my due date is 2nd feb. I feel sick all day every day at present, and every other day I am being sick. Sorry tmi! And my breasts are very sore and heavy. Got midwife coming to my house on Wednesday to compleate my booking appointment that I had at the surgery last Tuesday. All getting exciting now. Lets hope we all feel better soon so we can injoy being pregnant. ( even tho I am very glad to have theses symptoms) xx

TinkerbellesMum · 27/06/2008 16:51

herbgarden, Tink is mad on her prawn mayo sandwiches!

Had scan today, I'm definitely pregnant! I'm still not sure I believe it but at least seeing it on the screen I can't doubt it anymore.

Got to go back to see a different doctor who does clinic on Wednesdays. I blame him for having to have a section because he said to take Heparin in the morning in case I go into labour over night then I will have known to not take the injection and will be able to have an epidural if I want one. I took it in the morning, went into labour through the day and had to have a general!

Got to go back in four weeks (12 weeks) for another dating scan.

Four weeks (16 weeks) after that for a cervical length scan and they're going to start me on a vaginal suppository that is supposed to stop pre-term labour.

Four weeks (20 weeks) later for heart scan (which needs to be done at 22 weeks from past experience, so I guess I'll be back for it) kidney/bladder scan on me to try to find out why I've had UTI's all my life, detailed anomaly scan because of all the things been wrong with my family lol.

I'm assuming after that (been told they will play it similar to last time) that I will be having weekly scans till I get to 24 weeks, plus the heart Doppler scan at 22 weeks. Then placenta Doppler scans three times a week from 24 weeks till whenever.

They did say that this time they will believe me when I say I'm in pain, even if they have to admit me because of my history with preterm labour. She said "you had to have an extension into the upper section, so you'll have an elective section this time"!!! What's elective about that?

I might be odd but I love doing birth naturally, even if they were really early. When you can really go with it, let yourself go, it can be a pleasant experience and I would defy anyone to say they've felt a rush of pure love like that any other time

LuLuBai · 27/06/2008 17:11

Littleboyblue I was told I would have a scan appt before I see the midwife this time too. Guess it's different with each PCT.

PinkTulips · 27/06/2008 19:13

Tink, know what you mean about the rush of love. it's incomparable isn't it?

i kicked poor dp out of the room last night for eating chips as the smell was making me gag. have barely been able to enter the kitchen today because of the smell lingering by the deep fat fryer! thank god the poor man has been through this twice bafore and has gotten fairly tolerant of the craziness!

i hate, hate, hate pregnancy! love birth and having a teeny baby but if i could get there without all this crap i'd be alot happier.

am so looking forward to getting a scan, will be sept before i do though.... that oughta cheer up those of you who think july is a long wait!

kids are flooding the bathroom, gotta run!

rosieposey · 27/06/2008 19:15

Back from scan - gotta say it was worth every penny, didnt expect to see a heartbeat this early but there it was flickering away - she also put me back 2 or 3 days making me only 5 and a half weeks instead of the 6 weeks i thought i was tomorrow. That means that i had a postive hpt only 10 days after ovulation/conception - oh well not going to worry about being too small or dates or anything like that atm because a heartbeat is what i wanted to see and i promised myself id chill out when i saw it :-) Still cant believe its there though :-) its looking good this time :-)
