Apparently I'm having a girl too - not sure if I believe it - I have two boys and I am pretty sure we don't do girls here.

Just come back from a lovely holiday and it's taken me aaages to catch up ! ....am feeling v.tired and wake up feeling nauseous and have to eat straight away. Then go through bouts of having to eat NOW ! coupled with feeling sick and not knowing what I want to eat. I've been nibbling on salty crackers and drinking fizzy water which seems to help.

I too don't fancy chocolate or very sweet things - even coudn't be bothered with the cakes at work today....

Ended up going to bed on Sat lunchtime at the same time as ds for a couple of hours and spent all morning in my pj's.

Have a private scan a week on Wed- 8 weeks. For someone who asked, they are about £100 where I live and I think that's average. They do the 12 weeks on the NHS here but I don't want to wait that long and also as we have to have our booking appntment at 8 weeks didn't want to go through all that only to be told 4 weeks later that I've had a mmc......

Sorry to all those of you who are now off the list - this waiting game is hard. I know I feel constantly worried and feel I might be next.......anyway, let's all cross our fingers !

PinkTulips · 23/06/2008 18:50

sneaking on when i should be bathing the kids again

have spent half the day asleep on the couch again..... have never been so exhausted in my entire life! not coping well at all, thank god i have fairly lazy kids

have discovered that although i can't drink tea or coffee, cheap ass lidl hot choclate goes down ok go figure!

chinese thing says boy, but it was wrong on both my other kids so who knows. that said, don't the chinese count you as being one when you're born, meaning we should add a year to our age? (still only gets it right for one of mine though!)

littleboyblue · 23/06/2008 19:25

Thanx mrsBick and TinksMum
This is my fifth pregnancy, the one before last went to term and I have a wonderful 10 month old boy.
I have never had morning sickness so yes, I think I must be one of the lucky ones where that's concerned. (hope I haven't jinxed myself there!)
When I was carrying my son, I was overwhelmed by the exhaustion and spent most of pg in bed!! This time, I'm feeling a bit wrecked but that might just be because I'm trying to convince myself that ll is well!

PinkTulips · 23/06/2008 20:36

o my gods...... i just caught sight of my belly in the mirror

i look about 5 months gone, not less than 8 weeks something is seriously weird with this preg.... i'd be convinced i had my dfates wrong except it's the only time i've ever been absolutely certain about dates!

know how you feel about the rough older kids hurting the bump IWNH, ds is using my tummy as a punch bag the last few weeks and i get so neurotic about it, all you here when he's cuddling me is me screeching 'don't kick my tummy!'

just wanted to say to those of you who are taking normal multivitimins instead of pregnancy ones, do be sure and check that they don't have vit A in them as it can be quite dangerous to the baby. it's also a good idea to take additional folic acid on top of them as normal multivits don't give sufficiant levals of folic acid for pregnancy.

littleboyblue · 23/06/2008 20:38

PT, are you carrying multiple? I'm a bit fatter but that's not got to do with pg, I'm just eating alot of crap again

oooggs · 23/06/2008 20:46

yes I am eating crap to stave away the sickness and I am fatter but I blame the previous multiple pregnancy, this is just one (we hope!!!)

loopylula · 23/06/2008 20:48

Evenin'all. Hope you are all well. I got my scan date and booking appt. date today which was quite exciting. Midwife is on the 23rd July and scan is on the 6th august.

I have decided to see my GP this week because I am sure I am drastically anaemic. I can't even climb the stairs without getting out of breath and feeling faint. Managed to get an appointment on wednesday ? that never happens, does it?! We usually get told in our neck of the woods that there is a three week wait.

I too have dusted of the maternity rags! I think for the first trimester bloating I will resort to the hairband looped through the jean button hole trick which served me very well last time. There's nothing worse than showing a bit of elasticated maternity waistband at work and then havng to come up with flimsy excuses as to why you might be sporting such a garment!

loopylula · 23/06/2008 20:49

twigletts are keeping my nausea at bay ? and they are relatively good for you

Neeerly3 · 23/06/2008 20:51

no sickness here yet - just tired and miserable - biting DH's head off about EVERYTHING. been swimming tonite and feel soo achy 'down there' now, but think it's doing me good!

littleboyblue · 23/06/2008 20:52

I bought a few bigger, baggier tops today. I don't want to hold stomach in now. Last time I think I got in the maternity gear at about 20wks

chilledmama · 23/06/2008 20:57

so nackered...going to bed shortly but have to pack a bag for DS to go to grandma and grandads tomorrow. Goign to wimbledon on Wed and DS is still too young for that kind of day out...just a bit too much for him still. anyway that means he goes to spend a couple of days with baba which he loves asthey have a huge garden and a nice dog and a slide and swings...
Had to go to sickbay today to have my HPT confirmed by a professional who took some P and droped it on a HPT funny old thing, it waS positive [thank goodness emoticon]
I now have to make another appointment, this time with a doctor, to be officially downgraded...seems a bit drawn out doesn't it!

PinkTulips · 23/06/2008 21:12

LBB.... don't mention multiples to me!

there are a lot of things suggesting it might be but as i won't be scanned til 20 weeks i refuse to spend 12 weeks worrying about it!

littleboyblue · 23/06/2008 21:15

Sorry!
How far along are you?
Why won't you be scanned til 20wks?
What other symptoms do you have?
Am I being too nosey?

chilledmama · 23/06/2008 21:21

lol-lbb

i'm curious too now????

PinkTulips · 23/06/2008 21:26

not nosey

i'm in ireland and we don't get sanned til 20 weeks unless there's a problem.

i'm 7+5 (or thereabouts )

symptoms:
never got a pos test with dd, barely got one with ds at 10 weeks but got a whacking great dark line when my period was barely late this time.
am incredibly ill even though i've never had MS til 8 weeks with the other 2
am so tired i spend most of the day asleep, literally can't keep my eyes open
belly seems to be expanding rather alarmingly
dp has a 'feeling' and dd told us i'm having a boy and a girl out of the blue the other day

i wouldn't mind, in fact i'd normally love the idea of twins, but we can't afford a new car anytime soon and we're counting on having to buy very little baby equipment so having to buy an extra of everything would cripple us

littleboyblue · 23/06/2008 21:31

Ok. That's wierd about what your dd said! Hmm.
I had a feeling that I was carrying 2 but was scanned last week, I was about 5-6 weeks and she didn't say anything, so nevermind

PinkTulips · 23/06/2008 21:42

i'm hoping it's all in my head and it's just a rough pregnacy as we really don't know how we'd cope with twins.... not to mention that ds tore my tummy muscles when he was in there by himself, i'm not sure my body was designed for twins!

were they able to see much on your scan?

littleboyblue · 23/06/2008 22:49

Oh.
There was a tiny little blob. Being scanned again on the 1st July to check for a heartbeat.

littleboyblue · 23/06/2008 23:10

BumpVLump just seen you live in Surrey too!

TinkerbellesMum · 24/06/2008 00:12

If they do a TV scan they can see quite a lot.

Can you speak to your GP and say you're worried it could be twins as they have to keep a closer eye on twins so s/he might send you for an earlier scan. Or you could say you've been bleeding.

McDreamy · 24/06/2008 08:08

Morning all! Oh my goodness do I feel sick this morning! It's hard with the heat here too as I keep feeling quite faint with it. Feeling a bit better now! All good signs i suppose I try to focus on that when my head starts swimming.

littleboyblue · 24/06/2008 09:06

I have quite sore, tender breasts today (sorry if TMI!) I'm quite excited as hoping it a pregnancy syptom and that means all is well

PinkTulips · 24/06/2008 10:41

am to go back to the gp at 10 weeks so i'll say it to her then, there's a urine test they can do to check for a certain protein that's raised in a twin preg so she'll probably just do that.

LBB, getting to see a blob at 5 weeks is pretty good! they couldn't see dd at all at 9 weeks til they did an internal july 1st isn't too far off so you'll get to see baba pretty soon now.

McDreamy, know what you mean, everytime i feel rotten i just try and remind myself that if i didn't have symptoms i'd be petrified. of you having heat, tis raining here (again) and i'm spending all day every day huddled up on the couch under about 5 blankets
