I cried at Eastenders today!

Another thing I forgot being pregnant does to me... I'm cooking Spag Bol and I poured myself about 1/4 of a cup of the wine as it was a new one. I'm feeling flushed and dizzy!

Before I ever got pregnant I could keep up with my male friends easily, I only stopped when my bladder kept me away from the bar! Since being pregnant the first time I have no where near the stamina and pregnancy makes it a lot worse!

littleboyblue · 22/06/2008 18:31

Haha laidback, that's exactly ho I knew, was crying at Charmed!

chilledmama · 22/06/2008 18:36

tiredness and bloating both times...didn't get any other symptoms for ages (no matter how hard i symptom spotted)

PinkTulips · 22/06/2008 19:30

well i watched juno on friday night and cried for a solid half hour at the end

i'll never forget before i even realised i was preg with ds my boss was being a cow to me at work one day and after she walked off this lovely old couple came up and demanded her bosses name so they could write and complain about the way she'd spoken to me, that no-one deserved to be spoken to like that. i was so touched i cried for 2 hours afterwards, i couldn't even speak for the rest of the day i was so emotional

that said i cry at everything and anything even without preg hormones as an excuse!

won't bother posting how i'm feeling, suffice it to say i sincerely miss food that has taste

dd has spent all weekend asking about playschool, i don't think she 'gets' the concept of holidays..... lord knows how we're going to cope for the next few months, she's so sad already bless her!

am going to have to pick up maternity jeans soon too as my pants are getting a tad uncomfortable already. somehow i manged to get through 2 other pregs with only a pair of maternity combats and no other specifically maternity clothes

MarkStretch · 22/06/2008 19:47

Pinktulips, glad you said that, I have had my jeans undone all day. Including whilst ironing this afternoon when my neighbour walked past and waved and I realised I had my belly hanging out and pants on show.

I think my smell/taste is up the creek. We have new drawers in the bathroom and I can't go near them as I think they smell of rotting animal, my salt and vinegar crisps tasted of oranges and the smell of our chicken roasting earlier was making me gag. Hormones maybe?

oooggs · 22/06/2008 20:02

Cocodrillo - its not my list I was just being nosey as you are down sarf!!!!! so I have added you to the list but can't remember if this is your 1st or 5th child?

LittleMissNorty · 22/06/2008 21:16

Hello all ...managed to say a weak hello amongst all the nausea and throwing up ...wasn't like this last time

chilledmama · 22/06/2008 21:20

oh LMN i hope it doesn't last for long...had food poisoning last weekend but thought it was beginning of MS and was miserable...my heart really goes out to you.

LittleMissNorty · 22/06/2008 21:27

Thanks - last time I was just sick once - every day at the same time....this is SO different...nausea all the time and sick 3/4 times a day ...fingers crossed it'll go at 12 weeks (whenever that may be )

D'ya think that means a boy then???? (already got a DD)

chilledmama · 22/06/2008 22:09

its bizarre...I knew I was having a boy last time but this time no idea...not bothered either way really...if we have another boy then don't have to buy anything but would also be nice to have one of each [undecided emoticon]

Been busy trying to get hold of my IM from last pg...it was wonderful having an IM and want her back!!!

chilledmama · 22/06/2008 22:13

according to chinese gender chart...it s a girl!
Have any of you tried the chart for previous pgs.

chinese gender chart

Cocodrillo · 23/06/2008 07:56

chilledmama, I just tried that chart. It says this baby should be a girl.

But, it also says that my first should have been a boy (she's very much a girl - a girly girly girl!).

It says my 2nd should have been a girl, and indeed she is, but this gives an accuracy rate of 50% - about the same as guessing .

I quite like the idea of another little girl though, so I've decided to believe it.

McDreamy · 23/06/2008 09:35

I should also be having a girl!

laidbackinengland · 23/06/2008 10:20

The chinese chart says a girl for me this time too ( but it is wrong for DS1 and correct for DS2 and DS3). Who knows ?

Hope everyone feeling OK ? Good luck to those having follow up scans this week.

I am off to do a mass clean and tidy of the house so that I can give DH an illusion of calmness and tranquility when he returns tomorrow !

Jelliebaby · 23/06/2008 10:21

Morning all. Im still sick, all day every day. Anyone got advice on what to do? I am feeling so down and really hopes it goes soon as i'm going on hols in 4 weeks

Neeerly3 · 23/06/2008 10:23

jellie - I am the same, off on hols in 6 weeks, but cannot get any enthusiasm together and seem to be in tears a lot too!

I have started taking tesco own preg multi vitamins, same as pregnacare but half the price, so we'll see if they kick in soon.

laidbackinengland · 23/06/2008 10:27

Jelliebaby - have you tried those travel sickness wristbands that work on a pressure point ? Some people swear by them. Also ginger biscuits to nibble on are good.

Clarabumps · 23/06/2008 11:18

morning all-
remember i wanted some symptoms? i take it back- i take it all back...feel like puking at absolutely everything.Feel bloody awful. ds was ill all weekend hence the reason why i've not been on in a while. temperature of 39.5 and was the most lethargic little boy ever. Little lamb. How was everyones weekend? i should be having a girl too. Do you fancy tidying my house too laidback?? i have No motivation at all..the place is a tip and i'm worrying that i'll never manage to do the dishes ever again!

MrsBick · 23/06/2008 11:58

Hi all- may i join you?
just found out i'm due 26th feb 09. big suprise but really really happy.

Neeerly3 · 23/06/2008 12:01

hey mrsBick - planned surprise, or unplanned and well received?

MissMitford · 23/06/2008 12:01

Any 1st timers bought any maternity clothes yet? I'm not showing really but my jeans definitely feel tight today... hmmmm. Having just done a quick www scan of maternity clothes, I am feeling a bit uninpsired!

MrsBick · 23/06/2008 12:07

well n3, it's a kind of talked about , decided on but not sure about the time scale kind of suprise!
so really chuffed, it's just a bit earlier then expected.
both really thrilled . how far along are you? any MS yet?

MrsBick · 23/06/2008 12:08

Miss Mitford- check out LaREdoute and H&M, they do really nice maternity clothes which aer still a bit funky.

Neeerly3 · 23/06/2008 12:13

Miss Mitford - get on ebay and search for isabella oliver - if you spend money on one bit of maternity clothing buy one of her wrap tops they are adorable and will last entire pregnancy.

This is my second pregs (3rd child) so will be begging, stealing and borrowing most of it!

Mrs Bick - we had only been trying 2 months too, so dead chuffed we caught this quickly. No symptoms yet, but i only really felt sick from weeks 8 to week 12 last time, so hoping is this is just one this time i will feel FINE! Actually very tired this time, almost zombiefied - I haven't told work yet, but they have noticed i am off with the fairies and not concentrating.
