Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Hey all,
Seriously BAD day today, must be in the water... and I cried last night when water was spilled on the bed, it was all TOO much. Feel like Im the most hormonal mess I have ever been.

Thanks for advice on the books- my friend just passed on the Kaz cooke one to me so that's good!
I m sure I wont be this anal if I have any more, but I must admit Im pretty much going by all the advise at the moment. First pregancy probably makes you a bit of a pregnancy geek??
Sure I will get bored of it soon and stop being quite so careful...

Would be good if they did a 'hormone' pill to make you vaguely normal during pregnancy.
God knows how you cope with other kids to look after. RESPECT!

Oh god I am soooooo tired. Had a mad hectic day but got loads of sorting and throwing out done. Did lots of shredding which I love. We painted our new shelves, moved a bookcase from downstairs into dd's room and tidied the whole house.

DSD is here and her and DD have been tearing round the house screeching. I cooked dinner and bathed them and now DH has taken over and I am lying on the sofa knackered.

We told DSD. She seemed ok, looked at my belly and said 'I hope it's a boy, can I go and play now?'

DH has bought me two tubs of Ben & Jerry's and I'm going to stuff my face

Been feeling sick, sick, sick and waiting for my period and about a week ago had very similar feeling as when I figure DS2 was busy implanting himself... And cos I'm such an ancient crone with NO stomach muscles to speak of I have already popped out.

Welcome to all the newcomers !

I have had a busy and tiring day today. Dh is away for the week (until Tues) and the three DS's have been majorly bored because of the rain. DS1 is a skateboarding freak and if he cant go out to skate goes stir crazy. DS2 was v. tired and just wanted to make lots of (creative) mess....cur paint and glue everywhere. DS3 was cute but snuffly with a cold and just wanted to be held. I was tired because some drunk loon rang on my doorbell at 3.00am leaving me paranoid and rocking in my bed anticipating some sort of scene from crimewatch . Oh - and I have been retching all day like a herniated sealion. Fun fun fun !

Anyway. Glad the day is over. Onwards and upwards !

Have only been peeing on cheap tests off ebay. Will not be 100% convinced about this until I get a proper digital test.

Coco, doctors and hospitals use the ones you can get in £1 shops, so don't worry about the type of test you use. They're all accurate, just depends on how early you want to test - a positive is a positive!

I got slammed for saying I was pregnant with Tink on another forum because I'm not into religious charting and I only took one test. I have [had] a very reliable cycle so I just went for the every other day method and I'm intelligent enough to not need 20 tests to tell me what one test and my body already had.

littleboyblue, it is possible for your clothes to be getting tighter, although it's not baby (unless it's a multiple) at this stage, more likely to be water retention and bloating. (I'm sitting here with my jeans undone because it was too much pressure on my waist)

I'm desperate for a large glass of Pepsi but caffeine gives me heartburn and I've already got heartburn bad

Tinkerbellesmum how come you got slammed? Do you need more than one test? Surely the absence of a period and a positive test is all the evidence you need? What was their argument?

Anyway, feeling much more positive today. Hope those of you that joined me in my flat day yesterday are also feeling a bit brighter

I still feel like my period is about to start but no bleeding. I just have to be patient and wait for that early scan whenever that might be!

McDreamy when do you think your scan will be? How many weeks are you? I'm being nosey as we tried to get an early one and everyone was very discouraging and private was too expensive.

I did about 7 tests with ds, don't know why really just the reassurance that I was still pregnant. Have done 2 this time but only coz I fell within days of completing m/c.
Can you not get a scan if you say you're cramping? That's what I did and they told me I was about 5 weeks, they also booked another scan for the 1st July when they hope I'll be 7 wks to check for heartbeat

Well I had a scan with dd at 7 weeks as I was bleeding and I continued to bleed for the first 6 months of my pregnancy, turned out to be a problem with my cervix rather than baby but I don't want to tempt fate this time as had no problems so far!

Would hate to lie and get caught out so will try and sit tight til 12 weeks. It's only another month!

There was a group of women who were a little clique. I told one off once and ended up with them on my back constantly, following me around the site and abusing anything I posted. They posted messages going back nearly a year to "prove" I wasn't pregnant. But eventually others joined in and said I hadn't been posting on the TTC forum (I had on the TTC after Loss thread) and I hadn't been posting my charting (no, I just said "I had my period" and then explained how we'd decided not to wait till the following month to try which had been our plan and knowing my cycle I expected I'd be pregnant) or 2WW (I'm not that impatient). They said I'd posted on Cafe (the main chat forum) to get attention that Lily-Hope and my m/c had been attention seeking ("erm... see my profile pic ")

I think I will be offered a scan at about 12 weeks as they do nuchal fold here but I will be back in the UK on holiday then. Luckily DH being a dr might be able to pull in a favour and get us an early scan at about 8 weeks just to see the heartbeat, it would be nice to go on holiday knowing that everything is ok

I always cramp during the first few weeks. I rmember carrying a handbag full of sanitary towels with DD and DS and of course it never happened. They're not bad, just niggling. We'll have to wait and see, so long and frustrationg though isn't it

Well, you know when you are really pregnant when you start crying at random things on TV. Today I wept during a childrens animal programme when a baby giraffe was born.I really had to pull myself together.
