Lovely name Josey. Thinking of you all and hoping improvement continues.

Amberc · 06/06/2008 17:30

Josey - if it's possible to send positive thoughts you have all of mine. I will be thinking of you and praying everything will be OK.

poppy34 · 06/06/2008 17:34

josey -thinking of Olivia and you/dh.. hoping the news is better for you all.

bitofadramaqueen · 06/06/2008 17:36

Josey am thinking of you and Olivia and Mr Josey too. Got everything crossed that things continue to progress in the right direction.

goingfor3 · 06/06/2008 18:16

Josey, Olivia is a beautiful name (one of two of my favourite girls names!). Fingers crossed you get positive results next week. Best wishes to you and your family.

Upsidedowncake · 06/06/2008 18:16

Josey; you sound incredibly brave. Very glad that DH and you are together. Olivia is a gorgeous name and I hope that the news continues positive. xxx

bun2 · 06/06/2008 18:21

Joesey - thinking of you and little Olivia. Hugs and best wishes.

aberdeenhiker · 06/06/2008 18:21

Hi, still here, no progress - but I'm feeling more patient and my hips are getting better (how strange). I'm also enjoying telling strangers that I'm overdue and watching them startle.

I visited josey today in person! Very surreal to meet someone from mumsnet in person (for the first time at the maternity hospital too) and saw pictures of her gorgeous Olivia who's just lovely. All our fingers and toes are crossed here for her!

DS has just switched to part time nursery this week and is having trouble napping so he's being an absolute grump in the evenings - oh well - I'm sure we'll sort into a routine soon.

And I bought myself a bottle of 10% wine at Sainsburys today. No matter what, this baby will be here in two weeks and I fully plan on relaxing with a glass of wine each evening after the last feed of the day...

bun2 · 06/06/2008 18:25

Hello All,
Glad to hear that your various aches and pains are getting better.

I indulged in some retail therapy this morning but have been having terrible period like pains and backache this afternoon. Also had a bit of a show - not too excited because I had one 14 days before I was induced last time.

Hey ho.

Ate half a Waitrose Victoria sponge with cream yesterday. And I don't care!

pleasechange · 06/06/2008 18:50

You're all making me want cake with all this cake talk!

josey best wishes for you and Olivia, hope everything goes well for you both

pregnantpenguin sympathies re. cab drivers. I had a similar rant to DH yesterday after visit to john lewis. I was stood queuing and noticed 2 people were queuing from the other side. I thought though that I was there first, it really didn't matter that I was at wrong side (and the waddle to the other side with my spd didn't seem worth it). But no, the shop assistant pointed out that I was queuing from the wrong side and made me join the end of the other queue!! And not only that, but neither of the customers were gracious enough to let me go first! FFS, I was there first and I'm about to burst, did it really matter!

anyway rant over - am going to do my online shopping and order some cake!

spongebrainbigpants · 06/06/2008 19:06

Josey, thank you for finding the time to update us. Sending you positive thoughts and best wishes to you, dh and your little girl.

Olivia is a beautiful name.

fungle · 06/06/2008 19:37

Josey, big positive vibes going out to you and baby Olivia, I hope all is ok.....
Had massive ongoing BH all afternoon, plus shooting pains??? Prob nothing to get excited about tho.
DP just gone to pick up a curry for us.....mine's a spicy one!

systemsaddict · 06/06/2008 19:40

great minds think alike fungle, about to phone the curry house now

PearTart · 06/06/2008 20:08

Josey hoping that Olivia pulls through and you get the positive news you are waiting for. Thinking of you and your family.

PearTart · 06/06/2008 20:25

Thoughts also to everyone having bad/ uncomfortable days and traffic headaches etc.

Respect to UDC for P&T outing (I'm waiting for mine to arrive), and to G43 for BF whist making lunch.

Thanks again for thoughts re: DD. It seems like she's on the mend and that we won't have to be up taking temps tonight. Realised how badly sleep deprivation affects you- I seriously lost the plot y-day, and gladly was able to catch up on some today.

I'm also joining the pineapple club semi-seriously. It's prob true, SA, that nothing will happen until DD's right. I hope your DS gets better soon too.
But it is a good excuse to use the pineapple screw that I received as a Christmas present a while back!

Funny thing happened at the park today:-
A little boy (3 or 4yrs old) pointed at my bump and asked my why my tummy was so fat. I told him that I was going to have a baby, and he said in a very serious voice that I should go and tell a doctor because it's important and that I shouldn't have the baby too quickly.

LauraT · 06/06/2008 21:13

Josey my thoughts are with you and your family, I hope you get good news with the results of the MRI.

My Mum is gone there is nothing left to clean in my house and everything is ironed [big grin] I am exhausted!

I told her that she had several offers of further employment around the country should she wish to continue! she was very flattered, but I think even she's ironed out now! She's coming back up a week tomorrow for the day, and I've got to keep up with the ironing in the meantime. I am considering wearing only pyjamas to cut down on stuff!

breaking news My hospital bag is packed (almost completely)!

hooray for Mum, my husband is considering keeping her captive here as a live in domsetic goddess I think!

PregnantPenguin · 06/06/2008 21:21

Just finished my takeaway curry! (I had a home made thai one last night too). Time for pineapple dessert methinks...

debinaustria · 06/06/2008 22:46

Josey - thanks for making the time to update us,sending positive vibes for you, your dh and baby Olivia.

Rolf · 07/06/2008 03:19

Thanks for the update, Josey. You are all still in my prayers. Olivia Margaret is a lovely name.

PregnantPenguin · 07/06/2008 06:34

Bl00min' 'eck! Has my system frozen? Where are all the early morning posters?

Don't tell me that the curries and pineapples worked for everyone else and that it's just me for the rest of June.....

Think I've got the curry and pineapple to thank for an incredibly restless night due to horrid indigestion. No other effect though. The worst thing is that DH and I were looking forward to a nice (& possibly final?) morning lay in together, but the indigestion and SPD is making me wriggly and irritable rather than snuggly.

Hope everyone else is sleeping well.

fungle · 07/06/2008 08:02

No Im still here! Although did stay in bed until almost 7! Awake between 1.30 and 3.30 last night tho.
Most awful takeaway curry ever last night
Very dissapointing.

sophiewd · 07/06/2008 08:07

Morning all, hate curry and pineapple so thats buggered up that then. The sun is shining, must do breakfast for guests then off to a birthday party with DD this afternoon.

makecakesnotwar · 07/06/2008 08:08

PP Chinese food worked for me! Been up for a while, but it still takes me forever to get round to surfing!!

Josey- thanks for the update. Olivia is one of Cecily's middle names...it's beautiful. You are all in my prayers.
