Verso - good luck tomorrow.

kayzisexpecting · 01/07/2008 21:58

Verso Good luck. I will be thinking of you.

I found out something good today. I went to buy some of those flight socks as we are going to Devon in a couple of weeks and its around 7 hours by car not including stops. I was told by the lady in the chemist I should be able to get them from my MW. So I am going to make an appointment to see her next week.

Kayz, that's sounds great! I'd also recommend some travel sickness bands if you haven't got any already. We did 3hrs up to my parents recently & I got travel sick so had to get some. Must admit, I wasn't sure if they'd work but they did!

Nolda · 02/07/2008 08:19

Hi and welcome to the new folks.

Well done Bablington!! I'm so pleased for you. I only passed on my sixth attempt four years ago.

Good luck Verso with your appointment this morning.

Artichokes thanks for telling me about your daughter it has put my mind at rest. My DD was 9lb 9oz and is very tall so probably another like her on the way. But with such a large abdomen measurement perhaps its a boy, taking after his father (DH is 6ft 6)?!

Beans33 · 02/07/2008 10:28

What's EPAU please?
I'm going to Cephalonia on holiday on Sunday - is it worth getting those travel socks for a 3-4 hour flight?

Verso · 02/07/2008 10:58

Early pregnancy assessment unit. Heard HB! Difficult to find because baby v active . Much happier now!

JamInMyWellies · 02/07/2008 11:07

verso thats brilliant!

JollyBear · 02/07/2008 11:10

Great news verso!

We're nearly reaching the end of this thread. Anyone got a good idea for the next thread title?!! 'the fourth thread' sounds a bit dry!

Oh and whoever it was that said that when a new month thread starts it makes them feel like old timers - I agree! It was exciting to see 'due Jan 09' appear but March 09 is even better

pixsix · 02/07/2008 11:12

Congrats Verso, I feel so happy and relieved for you!

hattyyellow · 02/07/2008 11:15

Verso what fab news! Have been hoping all is okay for you.

jenduck · 02/07/2008 11:34

Great news Verso, what a relief for you!

Welcome Beans, I am due on the same date as you, also with DC1!

Beans33 · 02/07/2008 12:27

That's great news, Verso. Really pleased for you. I hope mine's active too! haven't felt it yet, but apparently can happen as late as 22 weeks, so not fretting yet.

Jenduck - where are you based? I'm in London. Very exciting to find someone with same due date!
Hormonal day today. . Don't really like the feeling, but on verge of tears for no apparent reason. Keen to get home and hibernate, but not possible with work. sigh.

theyoungvisiter · 02/07/2008 12:34

Oh I like our relaxed thread title vibe! I was just going to post and say how much I am loving the austere dignity of our "Third Thread".

I find the punning ones a bit pukesome (but that's par for the course at the moment as I am puking at most things).

I will of course stand by any appalling puns committed in our name

jenduck · 02/07/2008 12:35

Beans, I am based in Essex, so not too far from London at all - often pop up there for social occasions, but work locally (couldn't stand the commute).

I have also wondered about feeling baby move. I get a feeling like butterflies, like when I get nervous, but not sure if this is because I feel I ought to be feeling this way or it actually is something! Happened last night when DH was reading to baby (Beatrix Potter). I also have loads of hormonal days - just ask my DH

pixsix · 02/07/2008 12:42

Hi Beans and Jenduck, am also based in London (or will be from mid-July) and due on 7th December. Yay!

Verso YAY ! great news, it is so exciting hearing the heartbeat isn't it !
Ooh I'm with Jollybear on the thread name, we need something a bit less predictable - will have a think.
Congrats Bablington
I have been having a wee nosey at the baby names threads - have started a wee list DP refuses to discuss names so early but I can't help myself !

Beans33 · 02/07/2008 12:54

Yay! anyone having theirs in St Thomas's, or know what if it's good there? That's where we're going and so far for first 2 scans have found it great. They even called us in early for the two appointments. Unheard of in NHS!

I'm veering between terror and excitement. Luckily another 5 months to get used to the idea of being a parent!

mibbes · 02/07/2008 12:55

Turnip apparently play stopped for rain was going to follow it online at work but may actually get to see it when I get home tonight

rosmerta · 02/07/2008 12:57

Hello to all the newcomers!

verso that's great news, now relax woman

mibbes we're also thinking of names. We have a girl's name all sorted but struggling for a boy's. Struggled last time for boy's name as well, didn't actually have one until ds was born!

Must admit, I quite like the antenatal thread titles . We need something quick though, only 6 posts left!

Indith · 02/07/2008 13:08

Yay for baby Verso! Hope you are feeling relaxed

Someone tell my tired and crabby child to go to sleep, his mummy is reaching the end of her tether today.

jenduck · 02/07/2008 13:48

Hi Pixsix! I see it's DC1 for you as well. How funny that we are all 3 in the same area!

JamInMyWellies · 02/07/2008 13:56

Glad I am not the only one at the end of tether with grumpy children. Thought Archie was over his poorliness but he has spent the entire morning either crying or thinking about crying. Thank god for cbeebies am having to suffer ITNG its only fun to watch when you have had a glass or 2 of wine.

Sorry ladies but I love the puntastic titles.

Am leaving it half an hour while I search my brains to come up with something if no one else has started new thread you will be lumbered with whatever my sleep deprived chocolate craving brain has come up with.

Ok 5 more mins and he is going to bed or I am cracking open the shloer.

majormoo · 02/07/2008 14:11

Jam-grumpy kids-tell me about it. Ours played up last night and were not asleep til gone nine which meant this morning was a real struggle to get DD out to school.

Glad all is well Verso

well 1000 posts-time for a new thread definitely.

JamInMyWellies · 02/07/2008 14:46

new thread girls excuse the cheesy title I told you I was chocolate deprived
