I am a bit worried about these accounts of sickness getting worse after 12 weeks, as I was hoping for the energy surge to kick in soon!

Didn't see my prospective doula Mars (she's on here as Marslady) last night as her client's waters had broken so she couldn't stray far. I've had her recommended from about 4 separate sources, she has her own twins so that's a definite winner for me. I'm not sure about costs yet. I think you do need to book early - 12 weeks pg wasn't laughed at (I thought it would be as I am a bit of a control freak - I better drop that quick, eh?).

Hi all, hope you're all starting to bloom (Mae West here in a new outfit)

I've been away for a lovely relaxing week in Devon, then I superstitiously didn't want to post when I got back until I'd had my scan. Scan was yesterday evening, all is fine which is great relief (and only one). Arms & legs and everything

I notice there was a discussion about bf in pregnancy further down the thread - DS is still having a morning feed, I lie down in bed to feed him and it means I don't have to get up so early! Latching on was pretty painful when first preg, but now settling down and not uncomfortable. I'd be happy to stop fairly soon, but leaving it up to DS atm - I'd rather gently nudge than try and cut him off suddenly.

RG (love the name btw) can I ask when it got less painful? I'm still finding it v sore when DS first latches on, though am determined to persevere.

Effie - not sure with the latching, more of a gradual thing I think. It's still not the same as before pregnancy and I am definitely aware of his teeth! It does help that I can explain to him when it hurts and for him to try again. He seems to need to work a bit harder to get let-down, and swaps sides more often too, so maybe my supply is slowing down.

Rhinestone, I know your milk doesnt turn to colostrum till much later on but do you think since becomming preg the taste has changed for him?

mega busy day today Archie had his 12mth jabs blimey the scream that came out his mouth. I start puppy training tomnight with our mental puppy am hoping for miracles I feel I am expecting too much .

Congrats on the scans we must all be scanned up by now arent we?

Just got back (left kids with MIL) - the scan was fabulous, baby incredibly active, kicking, waving, even swallowing! My edd is now Christmas Eve As the midwife suspected the placenta is anterior & big - so I'm not going to be trying the doppler again for a long time.

We're so happy!

BTW, shall we have a sweepstake on gender predictions? DH is sure this one is a girl (think that may be wishful thinking on his part) though I am not sure.

Still chowing my way through the crappy foods - am now on to Primula cheese in large quanitities . Trying to get the fruit and veg in as well, honest!

I'm still sick but munching my way through peanut butter & banana sandwiches, veggies make me feel horrible but I've been eating a lot of kiwi fruit & apricots. I think this one is a girl, but really have no preference, we're not going to find out in advance this time.

glad to see I am not the only one stil eating rubbish sitting here with a glass of diet coke and a pack of ready salted crisps.

Rhinestone - am very about your Devon holiday. I want to be there now! I am not keen on London in the summer.

All is well here. DD is with her nanny today even though I normally stay at home on Fridays, but I am sitting abig promotion board soon so am studying all day. Yesterday, I asked DD what we should call her little sister and she said "Pete" . We are at a total lost for names, with DD it was easy as I promised my Mum before she died that my first born daughter would take her name - this time I acutally have a choice and it is hard! Everything we like is already used by friends and family, or does not go with DD's name or clashes with our surname. Will have to keep thinking...

I've been awol for ages but am back and beginning to get seriously excited about this whole baby malarky! Have been scanned and as I thought am further on - am now due on the 15th December - so Little peanut - Hello! Quite pleased about this as that means it's now due 8 days before DS's b'day and not the day before !

Hello everyone . . . have been lurking and have no way of keeping up with everyone but I hope you are all feeling well.

I am also getting a bit more confident that this whole malarky is actually going to turn into a baby - will be 15 weeks tomorrow so am starting to get quite excited!! It has been very odd to feel quite so weird and not really have anything to show for it ie a bump or anything.

Did want to ask if I am the only nutter who is contemplating buying a pram as have seen one I quite like on sale . . . is that completely insane as its so early??!! I know this is the first time I have done this but still . . . .
