Thought I'd do this and post my last comments:

Hi all. Glad to hear more good scan news!

We had MIL visit this weekend and she is such hard work. She literally never lifted a finger and kept going back to bed every couple of hours. I've asked DP not to let her come again for a while as it's hard work waiting on someone.

We also finally put DS in his 'big boy bed'. Went quite well - he went to bed no problems, but he woke up at 2am crying as he'd got stuck under the duvet. He was then awake for a couple of hours so I'm feeling shattered today. Anyone of you with older children got any tips?

Slinkie we'll be near each other for mat leave won't we? We can have some fun together I'm sure.

Meglet I'm the same as you with the whole bf thing. I hated it last time and was relieved when I gave up. I keep veering to and fro with regards to trying it for this baby. I had such a happy time last time round, really enjoyed the whole experience, and am worried that attempting to bf will make the whole thing fraught.

I'm 27 weeks today. How did that happen???? That means only 13 weeks to go!!! (hopefully)

I'm going away this aft till Fri on a watersports and other activities trip with school. Should be fun although I'm a bit gutted that I won't be able to join in much. I'm thinking I maybe shouldn't do the climbing, skiing, windsurfing, high ropes course etc. Might be able to canoe though and maybe sailing if I'm with someone who can do it and won't capsize. Or I might just sit by the sea in the sun (because it WILL be sunny) and watch them. Best bit is we get 3 cooked meals a day, I'm looking forward to a bit greasy fry up in the morning!

carrieon · 04/06/2008 13:15

hopefully you've missed the last week of september off the list!

On the swearing topic, my friend told me an amusing story this morning. She overheard her 2 year old saying 'silly bugger' to one of his toys, she asked where he'd heard that and he said his Grandma had said it to Grandad. Well, quick thinking mum said 'that's silly, she's made up a word, its 'silly bubbles'!' So next thing her son phones up Grandma and tells her she's got it wrong, she should have called Grandad 'silly bubbles'. Love it! So if you do have a slip of the tongue, there is hope...!

Gosh, I'm mean. Clearly I've decided anyone who is due after 23 September doesn't deserve a mention! I'll re-copy and paste in a moment.

lollipopmother · 04/06/2008 13:50

Ladies what are we going to do when we've all had our babies and the ante-natal thread has been closed? (I'm feeling really emotional today!!)

I have tried so many times to enjoy the other threads on MN but every time I go elsewhere all I see is people fighting and being bitches. Already today I've read 'is the word Epi offensive' which has degenerated very quickly into a slagging match, there's always people picking on mothers who dare to go to work, you write something and someone instantly takes offence/has a go, it's a minefield out there that I can be doing without. I just want to talk to nice people!

But starlight you've already cheated by hogging 4 due dates!

Besides, I need to be a few days early - both inlaws are away on the weekend before I'm due, and it would make life so much easier if they're nor scrambling over themselves to get to the hospital first (particularly since no-one is coming in before my mum!). I am going to start having stern words with this baby and instructing it on when it's allowed to appear.

starlight, i will do my very best to try not to give birth before the people who are scheduled before me on the list. if it happens though, don't blame me. blame Noah. he seems to have a mind all his own.

i've been watching flashdance this afternoon and he keeps moving to 80s dance tracks...

DebitheScot · 04/06/2008 14:07

starlight you're almost 27 weeks too. I only know what I am because I got my weekly email from babycentre earlier. I can't keep up either.

due sept 08; the count down ?

DebitheScot · 04/06/2008 14:28

well I suppose actually if you're going with the 9th as your date starlight that makes you 26 weeks and 1 day.

Talia1 · 04/06/2008 14:45

Has anyone got a good pun on 3rd trimester looming? I'm no good at puns, but I swear I felt more tired once i realised i was on 27 weeks.
