Well im due to have my first sweep at lunch time ive never had one before and TBH and just a little worried about it ! But having said that im more worried that they will tell me they can do it as cervix isn't ready so hears hoping that it all goes well and i can tell you all that i have a baba very soon !!!

Positive labour vibes to all who need then and lots of love to everyone xxxxx

mrsVO - big congratulations on the birth of Luca. sorry to hear that he has been poorly and had to have surgery. you and your partner must have been beside yourselves with anxiety, particularly after a difficult labour. I can't imagine a better hospital to be in, though. At least you can relax, knowing he's getting world class care. I hope you can get him home soon and put this difficult start behind you.

Hi all well had the sweep and i have to say that it didn't hurt at all just a mild bit of discomfort!!!
MW said that my cervix was soft and 1cm dilated but was facing back slightly.

I had a very small amount of blood straight after the sweep but have had nothing since! I went for a walk and am now just waiting!!! fingers crossed that something will happen but knowing my luck i will still be here next week !!

But i have to say that it really was painless i was so surprised as i expected it to be really quite uncomfortable and it was totally fine ....What a relief x

Sweetbean - Glad the sweep went well. I hope you weren't too worried about it before you went in. I tried to post a mesage saying it doesn;t usually hurt but stupid internet kept chucking me off . I think it's a good sign it didn't hurt much - esp since you were nervous (as that usually makes it a bit uncomfortable), it probably means you are quite ready for 'things' to start up so let's hope it helps progress things. I have my thrid tomorrow (yay ) before I go in to be induced on Wednesday. Last week I was no where near accessable / open / anything apparently despite being a day overdue and I'm not too sure tomorrow will be much different .

Hoping nugget holds on until Wednesday now as DD2 has nasty croup and is wanting 'mummy only' poor little sausage.

Proper announcement later but just to say contractions finally started at 10.50 and baby boy born at 2 mins to midnight (so another fast one) at home in the bath as planned.

Sweetbean, glad the sweep went well, I've got mine booked for Friday when I'll be 41 wks - kind of wish I had asked for one last week when I was term, surely it's never too early once you hit term to do one? Anyway, hope it gets things going for you soon hon.

Have been on a long-ish walk today and also roped in DH for induction help again (now that I am talking to him again after drunken incident on Saturday!) However, stil absolutely bloody nothing

Also have stopped taking phone calls as I just can't face saying 'Yes I am still here, no, there's no news' to one more person

Caameron Anthony was born on 23rd may (term+9) Natural birth...just gas and air...went on my own .... wait for it!!!!

A whopping 11lb 2.5oz!!!!!!! so i hold the crown??

Congrats Kanga, that is fanstatic news,well done on baby Cameron- love to see photos. Was starting to think that Jamie would be the biggest baby here, but Cameron definetley wins. Well done on a natural birth.

yep pregnabrain...went to ward to be checked for SROM on 22nd but told theyre intact...induction booked for tuesday (27th) but went that thursday night...yippeeeee...I tweaked my nips lol!!!!!!!!!!!!!

pinacolada - how do you remember these things???? I am most at your people skills. At the best of times I cannot remember someones name after 15 mins of meeting them . You're right though, I just searched for messages from her and found nothing recent at all. I hope all is OK and that it is just a bad internet connection.
