Congratulations to YCBS! kangaandroo - no need to be - it won't lead to anything. You're 40+3 and I'm 39+6 and your DD was born at 40+10 right? My DDs were 40+2 and 39 (although there were a few days of labour before they came out) so I reckon - totally unscientifically - we'll both have ours at around the same time...not that I'm suggesting a race of course

I thought I should check in as I haven't ben around for ages - I've got my mum out here staying for a couple of weeks so don't have much time for MN

Oh yes, forgot to say, I am still bloody pregnant! I am slightly overdue now, as I had made my EDD around May 16th, and have had a couple of nights where I woke up with crampy/'surge' type feelings, but they haven't come to anything. Yesterday I had a reflexology session, and since then I have been losing bits of my show, so that's a good sign, but it all seems to taking forever in getting going.

I really thought this one would be early and i went round telling everyone this, so now I'm eating my words! Luckily my OB is quite relaxed about letting me wait it out a bit longer rather than making a date for induction, which I really want to avoid. I have another appt next Thursday, when I have to have the baby's heartbeat monitored to see if s/he's ok. Hopefully I will have delivered by then though

Best wishes to all of you, I wonder who will be next. It's so exciting scrolling down and then finding an unexpected birth announcement - makes you think there's no reason it shouldn't be you next, IYSWIM!

Well its my sisters birthday today and my dads tomorrow so they are all hedging there bets and hoping that the baby arrives on there birthday but i happy if baba stays in and avoids both days i don't want to share a day with someone dose that sound odd??? especially not my birthday which is the 30th!!

Anyway baba is due on the 24th so im going for an arrival date of 28th im not sure why just feels like a nice number?

Many congratulations YCBS. Hope you are recovering well from the c-section and are enjoying your lovely little bundle.

sweetbean - needing the loo a lot is a definite possible sign, but obviously could be a tummy bug too! DD has just come down with a nasty coldy virus so, for the first time in ages, i'm willing bubs to stay in, at least until the worst of it has passed. Can't handle labour etc with a sickly toddler.

azaduhi - I really like the names you've chosen. Where is Issa from?

Hello all - still waiting here. Though lots of twinges today so fingers crossed something might be happening (maybe...). Have had a nice weekend despite everything - lunch out, cinema, yoga (pregnancy yoga - lots of what are you doing here!?), local fair and walks round the park. Hoped that all that activity would trigger something but not that hopeful, apart from these twinges...

Come on babies - I'm sure you want to come out now. DH is hoping he doesn't have to go to work tomorrow!

ohhh good luck Mayx3 .... ive been wondering if i'll recognise the start of things to come as i laboured all in m back last time (back to back bub) but we're not bk to bk now!

been really weepy this afto...that nothing will happen etc...and im doing all these pointless things in vain!! obviously hormones should be more positive but its so damn hard!!

I've been cleaning like a mad thing all afternoon (which is a very rare thing as we have staff). I now have backache which I hope is a result of my inexperienced use of the hoover and not because of impending birth. I am tooooo busy tomorrow (plus my favourite midwife is on holiday until Tues/Wed).

I have no pattern to when my babies arrive - if it's as early as DD2 then it'll be tomorrow, if it's as late as DS1, it won't arrive until the end of the first week of June. Pah!

Just checked back to mumbles last post which was a week ago today, if she didn't have spontaneous labour after all that water then she was due to be induced on Thursday. So hopefully we'll hear from her very soon.

nothing to report here apart from its our official Due Date today. I did think something was happening last night so went to lie down and it stopped (well I want to sleep and we have no baby...) Maybe if I'd have stayed active?

Bigbadmouse - sorry for not replying - yes, it was me whose baby had the bilateral pelvic dilation thing - I was scanned twice in the last 10 weeks of pregnancy and both scans showed the dilation as measuring normal, so we took the decision not to do anything further (like antibiotics etc) and will see the paedeatrician at 6 weeks and go from there.

Also for those still waiting for babies - best of luck, you will be fine !

I also have an unopened pack of Mothercare maternity towels and 6 pairs of disposible knickers from Blooming Mavellous if anyone wants them - just cat me your details and will pop them in the post to you -

Well apart from needing the loo and feeling totally wiped out there are no other signs that something might be happening so im 99.9% sure now that this baba will be late,not due till 24th but just don't feel like its going to happen yet.

Morning all - well I was quite hopeful when I went to bed last night, but despite raspberry leaf tea, pineapple and sex we're still here! Still quite a lot of twinging and lower back pain, but no pattern and not very bad so I figure not much is happening yet. I was so covinced this baby would be 6 days late but we're now at 9 days over - beginning to think he/she'll never come.

I'm booked in for an induction tomorrow but hoping that if all is well we can carry on for a couple more days, or hoping even more that labour will start today/tonight - please, please pleeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaase...

Planning to distract myself with tidying up, repacking my hospital bag (can't even remember what's in it any more) and going out for cake...

Come on babies time to come out now....

Also I am another one where everyone said I'd go early because the women in my family tend to deliver early. My mum thinks she is the baby Oracle and keeps making random guesses 'Definately Monday!' she chirped (this was a week ago last Friday)
