Not sure if anyone else has started a new thread as our other one ran out of room, but here we go...

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
KangaAndRoo · 17/05/2008 12:52

Pregnabrain....i'll say if you do I've since been told it can be a broad spectrum of colours lol...not neccessarily have blood streaks in it...and caan come in spits n spots or bits n blobs!!!

Since my first sweep I have been losing....now losing more since 2nd...but im 3 DAYS OVER AAARRRGGHHHH ....im sooooo impatient LOL DD was 10 over and I so dont want constant foetal monitoring!!! I want to be upright and possibly in a birthing pool!!!!!

hope all are well

Kanga xx 40+3 !!

pregnabrain · 17/05/2008 13:46

OK...TMI alert.

For the last three days I've had a lot of (yuk) clear discharge with (gross) blobs in that look like snot.

Could that be a show or could I have (grim) thrush?

SORRY SORRY SORRY

ps why do you need constant fetal monitoring? i've told them that i definitely don't want it this time, even if induced, and they've said OK it's my choice. I WILL NOT be strapped to the bed this time [determined emoticon]

KangaAndRoo · 17/05/2008 14:37

Right...yes that deffo sounds like a show but you could still be way off birth. It sounds like what ive been having and I explained in full detail just exactly what it looked like lol and mw said yep sounds like a show.

next....foetal monitoring....If i'm put on a synto drip they have to as baby can get distressed fom forced contractions....had to with dd too. Hoping if induction is the way...that the pessary will bring it all on lol.

TheDuchessOfNorksBride · 17/05/2008 14:52

Agree about 'shows' - they can be one big lump or lots of little bits and they can be clear, pink or very bloody and they can happen at least two weeks before the birth. A large increase in discharge often happens in the week or two before birth too. So, pregnabrain, if your show isn't a show, your (yuk) and (gross) is still a good sign.

This baby is moving far too much today to be going anywhere.

otter1980 · 17/05/2008 15:38

Mitchell and coolmamma - congratulations!!! (bloody hell Mitchell 10lb 5! well done you!) hello Catharine

Cat99 - welcome!! 22nd - good luck, hope baby comes out on time!

indigoblue/ Mayx3/kangaAndRoo - eviction notices duely served!!!

im bloody bored of this pregnancy lark now... been going crazy in the house, refusing to answer any phones, dont feel like I can go anywhere... babies need to come out so we can do things... and have cuddles, and turn in bed...

mayx3 · 17/05/2008 16:27

Hello all, Thanks for all the eviction notices, shame he/she isn't listening (or maybe turning on the computer will help!) - Pregnabrain loved the formal notice surely that's got to help...

We've wound several friends and family up this morning as we had a bit of a slow start to the day (I didn't surface til gone 11am) and didn't answer phone so several people thought we were in hospital - more fool them...

I've also had a show since my sweep yesterday and more twinges, but no real pattern to them.

[for those interested in shows - I had lots of little gloopy bloody bits and then couple of much bigger less bloody mucusy bits - sorry too much info!)

Trying not to get my hopes up though, in fact having not done much for a week - going to the cinema this evening in the hope that that'll set things off (by leaving my comfort zone and travelling a bit further from home!).

Congrats on new babies and eviction notices bouncing round to indigoblue/kangaAndRoo and any others - can't keep up...

mayx3 · 17/05/2008 16:28

Eviction notice to Otter baby too - was copying names from your post so forgot you!

Fleurie76 · 17/05/2008 16:34

Congratulations Mitchell and Coolmama on the safe arrival of your babies!!

Eviction notices to mayx3, indigoblue, kangaandroo, otter and anyone else who needs one.

As gross as it is, I want a show too!![feeling left out emoticon]. Does everyone tend to get them or are they just common on this thread?

Have now done, RLT, pineapple, curry and sex - what else??

Fleurie76 · 17/05/2008 16:35

Oh, sorry - and welcome cat99

BigBadMouse · 17/05/2008 17:09

Hello all!

I'm butting in here now as you have all been very chatty and I'll forget what you have all said if I leave it for more than one page of posts .

Re Shows: Probably not what anyone wants to hear but I have had three very definite shows now - the first one was 3.5 weeks ago -still no baby. I didn't have shows with DD1 or 2 so those who haven't had them shouldn't be disheartened (DD2 was a week early too). My milk has been well in for a month now too .

Welcome to Cat99 - think I may have possibly chatted to you before - have you been on MN long?

Congratulations to Coolmama and Mitchell. Coolmama - was it you who also had kidney issues with you scans? Mitchell glad everything turned out well with little one - at least they kept you in to check everything was fine.

No idea what is happening here. Last night nugget's head seemed to be in the right position instead of trying to come out through the front of my 'bits'(WooHoo) I later had some pretty full on contractions. Some were the type that make you bite your pillow hard and try to scream quietly (so as not to wake the DDs ). Then it all died down by 7am. When I got out of bed it was clear he had moved again and his head was back up and trying to get out the front again. I'm beginning to wonder what is going on. Having been through nearly 50 hours of established labour I think I know what labour contractions are like and these were of that calibre! I know he has measured up quite big in the head dept (much bigger than DDs were) and that my pelvis is misaligned so I'm wondering if there is a a problem with him getting to where he should be. DDs engaged very early on so this is all new for me. I don't know - it's just very frustrating, mainly becasue I am spending a lot of the night in quite a bit of pain for what seems to be no reason (and not getting much sleep either).

Moan over ...not really meant to be a moan more a 'wtf is going on???????'

KangaAndRoo · 17/05/2008 17:12

Fleurie ...with dd...if it wasnt for the mahoosive bump..then i wouldnt of known i was preg...no shows, no twinges, nowt!! Shows can 'show' up in labour...not always before hand so dont worry hun.....but so know where youre coming from...I got quite excited a week ago with my first blob of gloop (ok too near teatime!!) and here I am..more gloop following and nothing else [p'd off emoticon!]

got in the car before...had a wave pass over me and bump...like I had the runs (sorry again) very sicky then it went...got my hopes up only for bugger all to happen again LOL think if I keep saying i'll be induced a week today then maybe just maybe it'll be a bonus that I go on my own.

EVICTION NOTICE hereby given to Otters bub, Mayx3 bub, indigoblues bub, Fleuries bub, pregnabrain do you want one?? Ive forgotten LOL

Fleurie I said I wasn't going to do all of the 'inducers' again this time because I wound myself up something rotten with dd coz nothing worked.....but I have tried them again and needless to say im still here!

Sex - lots!
walks
curry
RLT
EPO orally and urm internally!!
spicy crisps
bouncing on the ball
starjumps...excrutiating!
AARRGGHHHHHH hahahaha

Welcome Cat99

Well we finally chose the name Jamie, so our not so little boy finally has a name, he is very good and we are very pleased and very much in love. Both his brother and sister are enjoying their little brother.

baiyu · 17/05/2008 19:47

Hey mums and bumps, eviction notices served from up here too! Just a wee warning re shows, if you're having lots of clear fluid leaking over a few days it could be your hind waters leaking as it was for me. My midwife didn't seem to be concerned but I self diagnosed and it turned out to be correct. I thought it was just a kind of extended show at first but that turned out not to be the case. Don't want to scare anyone but it is worth getting checked out if you're concerned as it does increase chances of infection.
Come on babies!

KangaAndRoo · 17/05/2008 19:51

Mitchell .... ME ME ME I NEED an eviction notice... don't leave poor little me out! LOL Lovely name btw.

My bump has dropped alot tonight!!

pregnabrain · 17/05/2008 19:57

Aww...Jamie's a lovely name. Glad his brother and sister have taken to him and that you sound well.

Sounds like I shouldn't get too excited by the blobbage down below (yawn). I don't know why I'm obssessing about it so much. My due date's not for a while anyway . I think I need to chill out about it a bit and maybe that'll relax bubs into making an early appearance.

otter - hope things get going for you soon. I know EXACTLY what you mean about rolling over and having cuddles in bed.

kanga - sorry, didn't realise you were talking about synto drip. Monitoring definitely needed for that, as you say. But definitely not obligatory for prostin pessaries or even breaking waters. I should think you're unlikely to need the drip for a second labour, even if you end up with an induction, no? best of luck anyway.

so who's next with a definite date? someone's next tuesday but i can't remember who...

KangaAndRoo · 17/05/2008 20:21

Cheers Pregnabrain ...i'm too hoping that I wont need synto drip ....but still got to bear it in mind
so when are you due hun?

BigBadMouse · 17/05/2008 20:42

Kangaandroo I'm due tomorrow. Sitting here with bad period type pains, BH and backache but not reading much into it

Mitchell Glad you managed to find a name. I think Jamie and Malcolm are lovely names btw .

Baiyu Thanks for the waters warning. I was actually going to ask you about that. How did you self diagnose? Was there a particular website that you found helpful

pregnabrain · 17/05/2008 20:56

I'm not due till 27th, so will probably end up going into June. Was induced early with dd so no idea what my 'normal' pregnancy length is.

BBM - good idea not to read too much into the pains. If it does turn out to be the start of something, it'll be a nice surprise!

Eviction notices officially issued to all who need them.

pregnabrain · 17/05/2008 20:58

ooh - there's a full moon on the 20th. Wonder if that'll get any of us going?

Very Ina May Gaskin...

Mitchell81 · 17/05/2008 21:43

Kangaandroo you have been given an eviction notice, your mummy wants to meet you. sorry for leaving you out.

Casserole · 17/05/2008 22:17
