Otter and pregnabrain can I join your bored of waiting club? I must like cooking babies too long!! I would even go as far to say I would LOVE to be in slow labour at least I knew things would be doing something but not even a twinge!!! and after 2 bloomin sweeps too!!

Well I'm delighted that nothing is happening here - the baby can arrive anytime from Monday evening, that would be most convenient (but definitely before June, DS1 is the 5th and I'm the 11th so it's too crowded already)! I have swimming galas and blacksmiths visits and DS1s best friends party etc in the next 3 days (next week is just work, pre-school committee meeting and catching up with friends, which can all wait)!!

There is lots of talk amongst school mums of my bump having dropped but it doesn't look or feel any different to me.

Is anyone sleeping better? I actually had about 6 hours last night (with one visit to the loo at about 3.30am). So why was I yawning before I'd even finished breakfast?

re sleep - i had been really good and its gone in last few days, did have a nap today though which was lovely...

well DP has decided that baby will now arrive this weekend (with his magic crystal ball y'see ) but as of monday we will be at our EDD (never thought we'd reach that) which is a whole week after I'd worked our date out as! this does mean that baby will actually be term+10 (by my dates) when she comes out which is normal for induction. I feel a strange sense of satisfaction at that, like i got one over the nasty consultant (despite climbing the walls waiting for baby...)

right eviction notices for all bumps (whose mummies want them) except DON's bump who has to stay put until monday evening!!! still suspiciously quieter than usual on here....

I'm so jealous of all those who've had their babies I've still got 2 weeks to my EDD of 29th May so keeping busy and starting to enjoy maternity leave...not much more necessary to do, but several things to keep me occupied including MN and freecycling our rubbish unwanted stuff that has accumulated.

Hello all, Well I'd always convinced myself that today was going to be the day, but it doesn't seem to be.

Fleurie76 hope you're feeling better today.

My appt at hospital to try and change my induction from tues to later in the week did not exactly go well. Dr was happy to change it and then he took my blood pressure and it was just a teeny weeny bit high (once) so I got sent for blood tests etc etc. After lots of hanging around all was declared fine, but they didn't want to change date after that and I was so relieved all OK that I couldn't face pushing it - yet again - I think they give me these scares deliberately. Hey ho... Please come before tues baby.... On the positive side I had progressed a little and they were able to do a sweep so hopefully that might set things off.

Come on babies, surely this is the weekend you want to come (apart from those who need to stay put a bit longer!)

Off for a walk round the park (though bit grey here) to try and encourage things along...

Birth announcement
My baby boy(no name yet) was born at 10:21am on monday morning by planned c-section weighing a rather large 10lbs 5 ozs. Landed up staying in hospital until lunch time today because they thought he had an infection due to a funny noise he was making so spent time in special care and on anti biotics. But got the all clear yesterday and we are pleased to be home. And I feel well.
Congrats to all the new moms and babies, will catch up soon

Ah mitchell! I was wondering where you'd got to. Congratulations and I'm glad your new son is well and you're both now happily ensconced at home.

Just a quick note to say thank you for all the lovely messages you left for me on Wed morning.

We welcomed Catharine into our family on Wed evening and she is gorgeous!!! 7lbs 4 oz and feeding like a champion. She was a complete shock as I was convinced I was carrying a boy!

Will post more later, but just wanted to say thank you to all on the thread who had me in mind - all the positive vibes definitely did the trick!
