Bump is due to land tomorrow, but i'm not too hopeful. Off to see the MW this afternoon, so probably going to ask her to have a look and see if I'm 'ripe' (yuck!). I didn't want a sweep last time time, had one at 40+7 which did nothing and hurt like hell (I'm sure she didn't do it right). Then still had to be induced with the drip at 40+12.... But this time trying to get it out this weekend so I can go my brother's wedding with a week old rather than day old baby. Although I have a feeling I may still be intact in a fortnight, ho hum.

She arrived last night just before midnight after 7 hours active labour. Did it on gas & air and she weighed in at 6lb 13. Will put birth story on here in next day or 2. She has fed almost constantly since she was born so I'm knackered.

mystic preg has been foiled by little beanie (because shes not doing anything anyone wants...) although she willbe coming out this time next week as induction date is a week yesterday!

well DP isn't right so far as we have no baby - however having spent ages telling me that baby will come when shes ready (no shit sherlock [humm]) hes spent a good 2 hours trying to talk her out since midnight...

Hello all, welcome to the world Stella (our favourite girls name so there might be another soon - bump are you listening??) and other little babies. Please let me be soon. Curry and pineapple no luck last night, will have to try sex tonight - not an exciting prospect!

Got myself all worked up about being induced next week last night(no idea why it's such an issue for me). So called the AN clinic all calm and collected this morning, but of course cried on the lovely midwife who answered (thank goodness it was a lovely one!), but tears work and I'm to go in to discuss my concerns tomorrow. Hoping DH can get off work to come with me (should be able to) as he's better at battling with Drs than me!!

Also have booked a pregnancy massage for this evening - they claim it helps induce labour, not convinced but thought it would help soothe my sore back. Also hoping that because I'm looking forward to it I'll go into labour beforehand, but again bump's not listening...

Eviction vibes to all those other bumps - wish this one would listen....

Mayx3 I think I will be the same if I face the prospect of being induced, it terrifies me, I don't think it's a silly thing to worry about at all. Glad they are offering to speak to you and try to put your mind at rest - let us know how you get on.

Feeling a bit today for no real reason (maybe the loss of the lovely weather?!) had an awful night's sleep and just now fed up with being so big and pregnant. I just want my hips and pelvis to stop hurting, I keep dreaming about running (and I'm definately not a runner!)

Also nasty bank idiots who made a mistake are now making me chase all around the houses for my own money which due to their mistake, they mislaid! Grrrrr

Sorry for the rant ladies, might stay in my PJs and watch a film and eat chocolate to cheer up!

I'm very encouraged by all these lovely, straightforward births we're having on this thread. Hopefully, they'll keep getting easier and easier all month and mine will just fall out while I'm walking down the road .

Mystic Preg will have to go into early retirement, I think. The babydar is obviously broken (sorry Otter!).

Nothing happening here (not suprised at all). tbh I have gone from feeling physically and mentally ready a week ago to not feeling ready at all - far to shattered atm. My HV visited yesterday and spent the whole time telling me how hard it is all going to be with 3 pre-schoolers, no support and a history of depression - no wonder I feel knackered after hearing all that! I spent the whole time saying I felt fine (true I do and that is very rare but WooHoo!) and wasn't worried and she just kept telling me I will have no support or sleep for months at least! Cheers HV !

bigbadmouse HVs are great aren't they? I had one who was obsessed with DD1s calcium intake - she had severe milk allergy so the HV suggested I give her yoghurt instead - duh! And although I didn't have depression, I managed 3 DCs under the age of 3 perfectly well. I had very little help (DH worked long hours in London until last year and our families live miles away). Sure, sometimes it's hard work and some days are really bad (the Christmas we all had Winter Vomiting Bug springs to mind) but most of the time it's OK and some days are just fantastic. My 3 are now aged 3, 4 & 6 and they get on incredibly well (and leave me to MN all day).

Duchessofnorksbride - thanks for agreeing with my little HV rant . I've been avoiding mine for ages but she eventually caught me in the supermarket one day and insisted I make an appointment there and then! Don't get me wrong she is nice, it's just that we have different ways of doing things so rarely agree on the best way to tackle a problem. Were your other DCs early? I've had two shows, one much bigger than the other but that was over a week ago now and nothing happened so here's hoping you get the same. My DD1 was on time and DD2 was early so I stupidly expected this one to be early too! I am a strong believer that if you don't feel ready, that has a huge effect on whether you go into labour or not.

bigbadmouse - DD1 was 2 days early, DS1 was 10 days late and DD3 was a full week early. So no pattern at all. I've only had a show once before with either DC2 or 3 but can't be sure how long before the birth it was - a week maybe? I've had a letter from my 'new' HV asking to make an appointment. And I haven't. One doesn't like to boast - but what the hell is she going to have to tell me before the baby is even here that I don't already know? When I need specific advice I'll ask MN her.

Right, I'm off to bed. Have drunk gallons of water but still have a headache so I'll try and sleep it off. (Before waking at 1am for a wee).
