Not sure I like this having a baby malarky, it blardy hurts! And I haven't even got to the needing painkiller stage yet!

Still at home, contractions every 5 mins, lasting about a min, but since am managing without pain relief will stay where I am for the moment. Would rather be in my own place than in hospital. If carries on like this think will be going in in a couple of hours - wish me luck!

Oh good luck Ellie. How exciting.

If you think things are properly established (and it certainly sounds like it) try a bath. It's helped me loads with both my labours (in fact I got to 8.5cm in it the first time round without any pain relief)

Thanks PFJ. I think the pineapple has officaly kicked in, its disgusting what just came out (TMI I know!!) DP take tomorrow and Thursday off just so I've got some company bless him. We'll probably both just sit on the sofa watching due date pass without even a single twinge

Never mind! Off to bake fairy cakes just thinking, if I had a few drops of lemon juice (or tablespoons) into plain sponge mix will taht make them into lemon fairy cakes?
