Hi All

PF good news about your boy, are they going to re-scan to check ventricular size later?

Re: Weight I am still 27 pounds less than the week i found out i was preggie but on the good news side I have finally put on 1.25pounds which means the MW might leave me alone now.

Is there any chance this little one is growing in my boobs????Still no noticeable bump, still sleeping flat on my tummy. They have now gone up to a husband pleaseing 36H from 36dd - 3 cup sizes in the last 3 weeks - if this carries on I will need a digger for each boob by baby time.

TS loving the new list - THANK YOU.

PetitFilou1 · 15/04/2008 20:19

dizzy I have a name in mind but its a secret (not that it is particularly weird or anything but something has to be a surprise!) we aren't telling the family neither. First time round I told my mum what I would call ds and she said 'well you'll change your mind when he's born anyway' and guess what - we didn't.... The jury is still out on ds2's second name though.

dizzydixies · 15/04/2008 20:22

oh nooooooooooooooooooooooo

now I want to know all the more [harumph]

PetitFilou1 · 15/04/2008 20:32

we aren't telling the family EITHER what happened to my Queen's English

and I'm still not telling so nah nah nah nah nah

dizzydixies · 15/04/2008 20:33
PetitFilou1 · 15/04/2008 20:34

Oopsacoconut yes they are rescanning at 25 weeks (in 4 weeks) and BLIMEY re your boobs. My friend is a double F normally - I seem to remember hers were like beachballs when she was b/f!

CaptainCaveman · 15/04/2008 20:38

oopsacocnut am very of you still sleeping on your belly. My fave sleeping position is on my front but current bump is preventing that.

Dizzy, please don't go to work anymore, I'm not safe to be on my own. I have put some sudocrem on the burn, in the absence of any witchhazel gel. Witch hazel is WONDERFUL for burns with unbroken skin, takes the sting right out (I use it for if I get sunburn at all).

Did I mention its a mere 24 days until we go to Florida?

TS the new list looks ruddy marvellous, you are a genie my dear. Clearly you have been hiding your light under a nearby bushel.

So, dh in the pub, ds in bed and I plan to eat ice cream and crack on with series 2 of 24, bliss.....

Buckets · 15/04/2008 20:38

Oopsacoconut, you must turn some heads with your figure! My old boss named me Barbie when I got pg the first time as my bust exploded while the rest of me shrank (ok I did start wearing short skirts because my legs suddenly looked so good.)

TS, great job on the list there.

VG, you don't have to melt the choc if you actually like prunes! That recipes really for people who can't bear the idea of them.

DH & I still hating each other's boys' name suggestions. Poor little DD keeps coming up with names too, some daft but lots from her class at school so I have to be v tactful when declining them. She did a grand job guarding the house this avo while me and DS had a nap - is it really bad leaving a 4yr old in charge of herself? Please tell me I'm not the only one ...

dizzydixies · 15/04/2008 20:40

cc witchhazel gel and aloe vera gel is exactly right.

I HAVE to go in tomorrow, what are your plans, is someone going to be with you?

fark off with the florida

its about that length of time till the inlaws come over [sob]

whos with me for coming round to petits house and sitting on her till she tells?!?

whats happened to sazzles? she's been V quiet these past few days

CaptainCaveman · 15/04/2008 20:40

miamla thanks for saying nice things about ds - i think he is gorgeous but of course, there may be a little bias there on my part. He has a temper to match his hair colour too.

Must also stop swearing whilst driving - ds asked me what a "bucking idiot" was last week - in response to a comment I made about a white van driver blocking a roundabout.....

poppysocks · 15/04/2008 20:42

I've found you all! It's taken me AGES to catch up!

Thanks for the updated list TS. What would we do without you?!

Dizzy - I'm at the cost of the deer park. Maybe my leave before the baby arrives won't be spent taking her to those sorts of places!

Terrible, terrible cold here. Again. I never get ill this much! My sis and BIL were up for the weekend and we ladies just spend the whole time feeling dreadful (her with morning sickness).

Experiencing the same bowel problems as others. On stupid amounts of iron though so not suprised that it caught up with me in the end. Just rather frustrating as I already drink tons of water and stuff myself full of wholewheat everything and fruit and veg.

I noticed there was a bit of chat earlier about moses baskets vs cots from birth. FWIW, as we didn't have space in our bedroom for a moses basket, we didn't buy one and put DD straight into a cot in her own room. The MW tutted hugely and really upset me by saying that was particularly unwise given my family history (sister was a cot death), but we had no choice. DD looked so tiny in there in the early days, but actually it worked well as we never had to transfer her and she got used soothing herself pretty well as we weren't jumping at every little noise.

No plans, I'm afraid, for nursery decoration here. Bah humbug. Idea is that LO will camp out in the spare room until her sleeping is reliable enough to put DD1 and DD2 (funny typing that!) in together. Means that DH will lose his huge office and be consigned to DD's current box room, but it's either that or we move house! With family so far away and me having terrible trouble sleeping at times, a spare room is a luxury I really don't want to give up. Glad to hear your DDs share so well Dizzy.

dizzydixies · 15/04/2008 20:43

buckets my dd1 does it too when I passout snoring have a nap on the couch too

are you going to tell the names or are you in petits gang?!?! you should tell but NOT tell us if your or dh's choice to get an honest unbiased opinion

CaptainCaveman · 15/04/2008 20:43

Fear not buckets - I am often to be found snoring quietly on the settee (with front door locked) whilst ds watches a dvd or plays on cbeebies on the computer. He is 3.11........AND if you look on top of my food cupboards you will see two varities of fruit shoot!!!! (which in my defense, dh bought)

dizzydixies · 15/04/2008 20:46

hi poppy just bring her over here, I don't charge admission and am so close to park she and dd2 can run riot whilst dd1 herds them up and we waddle behind

I think its nice for them to share personally and if this IS a girl will consider putting them all in one room, with use of bunk bed for older two of course

CaptainCaveman · 15/04/2008 20:46

Hey Poppysocks! Glad you found us but sorry you are full of it (cold, that is).

Ds also went in his own room from 10 days as he was a noisy sod and we were getting no sleep. See what happens with ds2 - if he's just as noisy then he'll be shifted out pdq.

poppysocks · 15/04/2008 20:47

Sorry for long post...

CC - I ironed my bump last time at about 39 weeks. Still have the scar . DD just gave me a few swift kicks as it happened and MW said that if she had a pound for every time she saw an ironing scar on a bump she wouldn't need to be a midwife anymore!

dizzydixies · 15/04/2008 20:47

pmsl CC thats it, address please, am going to have to come over and make sure you're not causing any more damage

TwilightSurfer · 15/04/2008 20:52

So glad everyone likes the new look of the list. Feels good to organize. I'm ANAL like that.

Captain you should have a very warm time. The weather's been hotter than usual so I expect it to continue. Won't be nice for me in August but at least you'll have a good time in May.

About the BOOBS....I've considered visiting a plastic surgeon so I can SHOW him exactly what I want post-pregnancy. He needs to replicate the size they are right now. Not too much but not too small and definitely not deflated. DH would probably hand me a credit card without hesitation if I told him my plan.

CaptainCaveman · 15/04/2008 20:53

weeell dd, I live about a mile from the house I posted a link to, similar post code....but can't reveal more incase some one informs social services that our child drinks fruit shoots. He also walked into our bedroom after his bath last night and said (with hands on hips) "what the hell is that?" (to the bed I had just stripped). Such a mini-me!!

TwilightSurfer · 15/04/2008 20:55

I'm with Dizzy. Sharing's the way to go. They need to learn early otherwise they'll have difficulty with their partners or college dorm mates. Having working in University Housing, it is soooooo obvious which kids shared rooms growing up and which kids didn't. I actually shared a room with my B (five years younger than me) when we were little. Didn't bother either one of us a bit...probably made us closer.

OP posts:
CaptainCaveman · 15/04/2008 20:56

TS I can't wait!! My colleague flies to Florida a week tomorrow, so when she comes back to work I will only have 1 day until we go!!! Yippee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm feeling really really jolly and enjoying this pg so much. I had such a crap time when pg with ds that it really is a pleasure to enjoy growing a little baby without feeling depressed at the same time. I'm so much looking forwards to meeting our new ds when he's born, enjoying maternity leave and life in general BUT I'm also in no rush for 40 weeks to arrive as I'm having a great time being pg. GUsh gush gush gush - must be the pg hormones

TwilightSurfer · 15/04/2008 20:58

Captain LOL about your DS's exclamation last night. Sounds like my DD's on Sunday night at the ER when she told the nurse, "THERE WILL BE NO TINKLE IN A CUP...EVER!" Mighty bold these four year olds are.

OP posts:
CaptainCaveman · 15/04/2008 20:59

lol Ts, I can just hear a little american accent saying that too! Isn't the world very straight forward when you are that small?!
